We using find out things in spring training that we didn't find out the previous years so I can't wait until spring training. To find out. [5:43]" Well they have our -- it would also mean we've we've made rule we made a lot of mistakes particularly at a model ball park and then. Part of as a manager responsibility of not just the man it went but the -- losses. And you'd you don't want to character bullpen solid start to score in the you know against sometimes that the suck it up. But you came back it was a huge presence in the middle tall order at all in mystical or games because of point he's felt like he needed time off -- think we're okay there. They've who actually -- working out they would -- about supplies. He'll be ready yet and then that I awful due to moral would do it effectively stopped for a lot hoosiers -- and it's a real biblical Tom. He means so much to laws. And offensively. There will a lot of difficulties this year and again you're you. We still felt like we were better off with Tim catch it and tackle audits into the lake but it was -- some -- we actually moved into the ninth slot in order. Isn't good at all as a proper time during the season now it's over. And you take the emotion out of the equation which you have to do in -- look at some things logically now is the time to have some of those conversations."

[10:29]" Looking back on it now. How much did the absence of Michael leave a big hole not only in your lineup on the field but what you could do -- innings off the bench."

[10:39]" Well that's -- probably. It'll hurt us more I -- you close to the phenomenal job goal of the order -- they did a great job -- about lawyer but it appears that stroke. In the playoffs but it did limit -- you know again. Our bench. Wasn't. You know what it could abandon a wall there we thought that would game ghost you. How does that conversation develop boards or or is it you guys talking about football and oh by the way -- you get into the discussion about. His offseason program."

[12:56]" Well actually visited within the sport for a few minutes and was contacted Donovan what he's going to do and he's going to stay in this area a couple of excellent all I have some time to sit out -- And then again and David for a long time now we can count IndyCar car or -- we need. And the understands that Purdue understanding of order needs to do. A couple of years ago he had a real good winner. And then electorate get a quarter cut into because of -- so again there are times when you want to get stuff done. And UK. [13:38]" You showed a lot of faith late in the season especially in a young kid Justin Masterson. Faith that was pretty well rewarded. Long term do you see him being a starter is he going to be a reliever in this organization."

[13:50]" He can probably do whatever organization needs I think there's differed opinions. I'd probably lean more towards his impact in the grand. I think you talked John Farrell he thinks he can go either way and impact the team. I think we talked a far post but it probably been okay what particular available. More like an impact in which I totally understand I think the good news or would go to is probably going to get outs."

[14:15]" The other young pitcher on your staff who I thought was remarkable this year was Jon Lester. But I looked at the number of innings that he pitched as compared to the year before. I know what a big deal that is in your organization. How that impact his offseason this year."

[14:30]" But shortly so we need to be cognizant of because all the struggles you want to physically last year. And he was so help you Richard it was so good -- innings jump up significantly. We need to be aware of that player that I do think he's excited to Campbell. -- speed in his delivery he's strong. He has -- our fault you know which. He's been -- all year long and -- but more tactical. I think works it about its future but it is that you'd jump shall we need to be aware of."

Looking back was managing the ball club before the trade deadline a lot harder than managing the one after the trade deadline."

What brings I say the team feel good about it and knows second guessing myself all lot -- things. And that things did change and they change for the better and we became a ball club.
