Our view -- couple questions Torre and you know exactly where we're going with this it's not the whole world -- the whole world football's talking about. -- if you throw a pick six in the final minute of game I know for a fact. You'd be the first one at the podium to stand up and say my fault bad read my decision cost us the game. Should Bill Belichick not have said the very same thing is not publicly at the press conference after the game then at least. In the locker room behind closed doors man demand the view and Randy and Ballmer. And all the guys to play their asses off and -- in the cold for three plus quarters."

" Well I'm not I'm not sure that you know that they they agree -- guys in that sense we're all. There's 53 guys on the team and you know we all take part in the wins and the losses and there are certainly things I could've done better out there to help -- the game. You know I think he obviously gets a lot of attention because it's it's probably not the popular thing but at the same time it's. It's what coach -- was the best thing to do it and I think we're -- support above that so. You know you'd. It it's just very. Obviously use your argument for everybody and that it's a simple decision for everybody would you don't take and probably for consideration a lot of factors that. You know that happened over the course of the season -- Over the course of the game. And you know it's it's one of those things where we we we we did we played so well at times throughout the game and in the -- you know we just. We did execute what we really needed -- acute and I think that's. You know that's what it comes down to."

" Tom I'm not that smart but I am smart enough to know you're a tough position answering questions as the face of the franchise and even new. Tom Brady can't break ranks. But but I hear you say you weren't surprised. With a call to go for it yet. Two yards and if -- to tell me that you know we're gonna play the colts and we gotta pick a few yards on two -- to win the game. You know I'd say I'd like our chances so. You know it's. Hindsight this is always you know 20/20 and in the reality is. You know he coach coach Belichick you know he admitted he made a decision and you know the team is fully supportive of the decision -- like this that I wish. I wish we have made the play which we have made a bunch other place so when it comes down to that but. And are still lot of plays are made after that and before that that you know week we all at the offense and defense and special teams unit need to do better that. You know I think it would -- would you know those are the very good game we played a lot of ways we just didn't play. You know for the first sixty minutes a murderer where was an AFC championship game a few years ago where we didn't. We didn't finish off the way we could have so you know hopefully we learn from bad move forward and play better down the stretch."

" Was the spacing correct between Randy and his defender and Kevin and his defender."

" Yeah it well as well as you know they just you know they were right there at the last discriminated. They were really you know tight coverage and you know those are typically pretty tight -- Yet the spacing the space it was --"

" All the play Bork says thing how -- that Thomas the plan worked he completed the pass it just didn't go far enough yardage why. Wouldn't he haven't why wouldn't that be a three or four yard out for Kevin Faulk as opposed to the the one and a half yards out which it ended up to be."

You know we've got we've got seven games left and you know let's say it's it's really going to be determined that what kind of team we are you know these last seven games it's. You know I I think we made a lot of improvements since the first couple weeks to the fees and you know fourteen that's. To -- we just didn't get -- get enough yardage."

" Follows the quarterback on the offense I can understand where you'll be excited to have the coach put his faith and you and say. We're going for the us we're gonna win it right here really get the -- of a cover the two yards. Flip side of that coin do you think there's any credence to Tedy Bruschi is feeling. That this sends a bad message to the defense we don't trust you to stop Peyton Manning if we punted the ball."

" Well you know I don't I don't know it's I certainly don't think that's what coach tocchet was I don't know him very well and a better player -- him for ten years and we've been part of a lot of games with the colts. Over the years where. In they have very explosive offense as in America it's it's -- best offenses belief in the their very productive score points and you know before that last position they went down on the field of less than two minutes and scored. You know -- You know we bought a couple of best -- structures and in. -- Who who was banged up self. You know -- and they haven't in the AFC championship game at 2006. You know we need a third war we missed it we part of the them and they went down the field and less than two minutes and scored an interview that on that field that day note so. And that's -- fit. It is you can argue a lot of ways and if they had we punted the ball that they return to the fifty yard line. You know then then what do you say your or. It's still more yards and had to deal. Well of course but you know that's one completion -- twenty yards which takes probably fifteen seconds that and had. Two minutes so. But we lost the game but I understand the -- got to be placed somewhere and everyone always what's the point the finger thing isn't the reason -- this is the one reason why we lost a reality is. There's a lot of reasons why we lost that game. And we're 36 in the red area we have. The real critical turnovers we had some opportunities to get the ball in the end zone we are opting to run the run the clock at the end of the game and we didn't. And we as players are responsible for that. You know they're gorgeous what the second guessed that the decision -- the -- had to get routine week. We don't buy into that we we understand you know that's one of many many decisions that are made over the course of the game and you know I have I believe also echoed such as code protective I think I thought that's just our best. You know chip to one game I believe and I really thought it was still. I think that's I wish we had done a better job executing those last couple plays or else we can talk about variable -- west."

" Tom can you confirm or deny that the decision to go for it on fourth down was made before you went for it on third down."

" I'm not sure you know I. I do know this about coach Belichick it's not like it's a spur of the moment decision I mean he's he's -- that scenario. Probably forty times and has had so it's not like you know were ill prepared for the decision and he. You know we talked about before the game with opportunities first to go for a fourth down. And you know we knew that it's not the type of people you wanna. You've always ticket to their NC state good -- square quickly wouldn't you know they've proven they can do all season so. You know -- like I say this is this is one game in the season and I don't think we've lost confidence that we can be the colts I really don't I think we feel like. We had a lot of opportunities to win that game in. You know who knows what happens down the road and I I hope we we continue to played a very high level like we did the other night. That they got a lot of ways we played our best football the other night especially on offense. To control the few of those pass -- like we did -- in a team that defense that was ranked. You know what the top three yet I think in almost every category and we were not there we did a lot of good things."

" Dom if indeed -- check it decided that it was gonna take two cracks or he was gonna take you we're gonna take too -- to get the two yard third down and fourth down. Would it not have made more sense. From an eating up the clock standpoint and what -- other standpoint you wanna apply here. To run it once and -- the water may be may be get it and eat up some clock and then run again for fourth down."

" Well you know I think that's. That's another that's another decision and you know I. Who knows who knows of and it's it's easy to say but -- I. You have Kevin Faulk and Wes Welker granny ball an -- bingo -- in. -- and out there are so. It's hard it's hard for me to think there you know there's that I'd wanna put the -- anybody else's and those that myself from the old guy that I mentioned. So. You know you're -- three point -- to -- of the game mean you give it. You know reality -- you give it you know the seventh may come off the bench that's. You gotta give it to the data using -- make make this shot."

" Did you think when you release the ball that third to Welker in the flat did you think of all. In on this this kid might pick this thing off and taken back and make them make the hole with that fourth down decision. --"

Chris -- was amazed at the play but they are made on the pick in on the he came across the field from one side -- safety on on his left and came across the field into the end zone to make that pick. " I didn't I didn't feel much of the ball left my hand so he made good play and he read where I was looking at in a big jump on the ball and got over there obviously he's he's played it's a long time and he's very wherever Randy is and I got to do a better job as seen him in our bacon that broke."

" I'm guessing you're still in the in the one on one battles. Between moss and buffets -- still give the edge to moss on Sunday night."

" Yes I would I would any time he's. Ready had a great game he he always plays well those big gains that Super Bowl the AFC champion if he championship game he just. He's always a factor and you've made some great plays the other night really sparked us. The touchdown catch -- the bobcats -- back on the replay. Was an unbelievable catch concentrations so. You know work work -- there were doing a lot of really good things of the offense in and we got to continue to do those things and no we just eliminate -- the mistakes that we made it -- aren't really let the people were capable of doing. You know we're just gonna stay at a we've been markets that there's been steady progress here for. For the last seven or eight weeks and that you know really since. Of the Atlantic game and and and hopefully we just continue to go out there and make improvements so that it's gonna come down. --"

" Well I guess that this question also kind of falls into the category of a lot of play calling. Be it in spite of your ability to successfully stretch the field in the first half. It seems to me based on the notes I talked third quarter whether you made the adjustment consciously or just taking what the defense gave you there was a lot of short stuff dings and -- sunscreens early in the third quarter that were very very successful and then suddenly deep to moss for the but they interceptions. That's something present itself in the course of those drinks and dunks and short stuff -- screens where you said now we're gonna go deep even though you're having success for the short stuff."

" Well I think you're you're just -- trying to. You know mixed things up in to keep keep the defense got down. If they die every place not going to be a thirty yard burst the colts that we had some good opportunities in the first half that. They gave us some coverages we're looking for we took advantage of and so. You know every every play typically has somebody -- deep -- some -- short and enough sometimes authority -- of that -- We we try to control the ball a little bit. Which we did a good job of you know we just had a couple big turn over there that that hurt us. But you know that's a that some of the things we gotta do better -- and you know no one know it feels worse than that I do it and you know I think there's. We've got to get over it move on and that's and you lose games in and you gotta. By the resiliency to move forward in in that's just part of the game and -- I've played on the -- took to realize that there one game does the finest season unless it's the last game and -- fortunately it's not the last few overseas."

" Resiliency takes me to this question Tom -- if you were able or willing to -- the feeling of driving 87 yards midway through the third quarter. And about the punch it in and the ball gets put on the ground and you go 87 yards and you don't get the touchdown that everyone is expecting. He can can you feel palpable. Hall in any area on the sidelines -- the offense go to the side and watches Peyton Manning go back out for the colts."

" You know I didn't I didn't feel that I take you know -- Marxist triumph. -- it's it's just it's a mistake that happens that. The guy makes a good play in its share in the ball popped out. He's just try to punch you in the I don't think happened they really do that there's no running back that's ever played it hasn't fumbled. And I think we -- have competent to -- that the -- and to let them counted in there and you know. Obviously it's it's not something that -- we're. That you're never. Excited when it happens but it happens in the got to move forward and that's part of mental toughness that we came back with except we gotta be professional past and you know we've moved the ball well throughout the game we just. -- we just didn't make it not play it's what we needed to make them. And it whether that was we got paternal rafter will fight interception -- it's no -- we scored touched on that drive right there that's the three touchdown game. And we do Olympic Games so. Record -- there's a lot of -- they're going to what was -- game and it's not a decision or play it's collectively as a group but. That we all we all share the responsibility of the when they have a losses but it. I know it's a disappointing loss for everybody. You know put up I'm also an optimist says you know that's is that I don't seem right there than. You know I'm glad that we're that they would be right there with the side and only."

" All I know when you watch the film you were certainly able to appreciate what Sebastian -- doing on your blind side. But I'm wondering during the course of the game in the heat of the moment. When you're not looking at what he's doing are you getting a sense of how successful this kid is with having your back quite literally."

" Yeah I'd I'd do I know them and I I could. I guess sensitive feelings for -- for the Russians and how it's coming up in. You know we did a great job on those two guys they're so good that -- that it. I don't know you can appreciate how good they are. You know on TV but what I studied for. All eight games over the course of the year what they're able to do offensive pressure that they put on offense. And offensive line is it's pretty unbelievable what some like any other team that that we play they had two guys who just -- pretty much dominate the game. You know -- goes about it tackle without a fact. And that that makes a couple good plays on our Kaczur by. You know you gotta expect that their best players are gonna make make couple plays that factored expect anymore what struck -- couple plays so. Yeah you gotta take. You know they've they've made the play that it depends what they needed to and I think. You know our guys really hung in the air and you know we're resilient battled just like we needed to and you know probably those guys played -- continues to play it. And you know we're gonna need that again this week."

" What will they used to say if you had a finance pass rusher you know a small -- guy like Freeney. You run Adam and and I guess when you have and when the culture and believe when Manning has lead. And teams don't run have to pass to catch up -- why can't you do that well why can't that be the solution to that problem does run at Freeney and Mathis."

" Well there are so look they're not so far met those two cracked into other they're very they're not very tall but there are extremely powerful. -- And and they do a lot of movement in in the and there are in the run in the air defense of life so it's not like they just. You know where they have some parents negotiate that you sometimes they land inside sometimes they look to be outside they've run. They weren't gains with the -- to tackle the defense but it's hard to really get a good. Or just a matter give the ball in the end -- when we have the opportunity it's about one point -- in the I think we just stick to your locals and had a couple of internal."

" I asked to some I was one of this -- watching you operate on offense and we -- caller asked this the other day we hear about Dallas Clark all weaken what a weapon he is for Peyton Manning and in other games you know Atlanta we hear about Tony Gonzales we see Ben Watson we talked and we know how good he is physically up past -- is we know -- good hands. How come he doesn't get the ball more often and I'm looking at the numbers now. Isaiah Stanback had more catches than Ben Watson on Sunday and and I guess they just don't get it why don't you use him more often."

" Well I you know Ben is Ben. Is very productive and and we do need to get the ball more to band. And there's it's very. The rarity gets a lot of balls in west gets a lot of balls on the ball off the market -- and you know abandoned probably has just behind Kevin -- we gotta get Portland fault so but many got to get the board that -- and so. -- of their productive player first whenever we brought to the band good things happened so. You know it's just gonna make -- There's one ball in that we have a lot of good players in and that is certainly one of those good players and you know the Dallas Clark is probably. You know behind Reggie Wayne and -- you know right with Reggie Wayne who won the first options probably play. You know typically an offense it's it's probably more the receiver style offense -- Randy Weston. Are the first and second option most -- replaced. But then there's certainly in the right up there and he's done a great job first and he's got such a good attitude and he's with a huge plays this year we. That we would -- have nearly as successful fees and without that America."

You know if if they somehow review it yet and you don't get it then we -- and -- we needed to complete and we we run that hurry up play and we can't yard not a second and so. It was just stay it it comes up from a sideline where it's close and who knows whether it's complete your complete. You know what they ruled a catch then you just we all rush to line and run a play in fact we can't."
