But this quarterback thing in the NFL rookie isn't as hard as some people make it your adjustment is it. These were easier. Better easier than you thought it would be before it all began Matt."

" You know I don't know if you know what to expect when when you come into the genocide -- You know it's such a difference such a change and it's been. I think you'd been more difficult than people think. You know there has been a lot of adjustments but I think the biggest thing for our team. Is that some when he got around -- have been playing really well our offensive line has done a great job in. A wideout and running backs. Made some plays and that really helps."

" About what what. Did you expect that was exactly as you expected wouldn't go up to the NFL and the second part of that question is out what didn't -- seek common."

" Well it's tough. You know because it is tough to have expectations could that is so different -- you know I thought. I thought I'd be able -- pro ball live and I have in college and and in that be accurate with the football and and that hasn't changed I think there's still feel like -- good command of of where put the ball. I want to -- but I don't think he expected news. Quickly the weeks turnover I think in college. You know you prepare for certain things in the game plans are our. I'm fairly tight end and when you get into the NFL. There's a lot more preparation you do in terms what you're drawn against the defense isn't and what you're doing out about -- feel like the weeks just trying to turn -- much faster."

" If this one play that defines your your career so far you season so -- at pro against Chicago you had six seconds used five. When you release the ball when you completed the ball did you. Did you think he used up too much time did you think you got in got it to him under the wire."

" I applaud I didn't know -- need to to be honest with depth but I didn't know and so the first thing you do -- kind of got it on the play the first thing you do it -- looked up epic practice fit to make sure that they stopped and you know they -- on balance those big."

" I mean it was incredibly big -- and I obviously needed to kick. Is that. -- we talk about things you learned things that surprise you. -- when young guys young quarterbacks commonly they'll say they -- faster everything moves faster. And you mentioned the week moving faster. A do you feel like the players -- moving fast to the pass rushers the linebackers is everyone moving faster on the field than they did last year."

" I think I admit that things are I think that's. You know the reason everybody says because used to. I think especially the front seven I think defensive line and linebackers move faster than they do because in the past threshers quicker. And I blitzes off the -- quicker other what you're seeing college so I think. He hit it takes I think that's the biggest adjustment I think you play against good corners in college in you have fast wide receiver so. I think you're just about beat faster than you do the past rations and the blitzes."

" and Matt Ryan but by definition quarterbacks have to be leaders and I'm wondering even at this early stage in your rookie season in the NFL. Do you feel like you -- leader of men men who were much older and have much more experienced than you in that locker room."

" File a you know I think I think. -- that -- take command when I get into the on most guys listen happened and respond to and so and that sent a desolate that you are leader. But you have to -- outta your own way and it takes time to as a rookie usually you know is it going to take some time earned everybody's respect from a pic of got a good job in. In kind of get America as the season has progressed but I got a long way to --"

" Well you know our I don't I got there yet certainly have a long way to go it is flattering to hear that because law I played with him for awhile. But at the same time I think there's sprays that remind me I heard that I think lawyers and that this means that reminds him of commons and certainly not there yet but. That is flattering yeah."

" I just -- coach jags offense helped you in the pro style and him being eight -- professional quarterback coach. Helped junior preparation but. But how much more complicated as what you are running in Atlanta than even what you do the Boston College can you put that in the some sort of terms that we can understand met."

" I think you know it definitely helped jags come -- definitely -- it is city have obviously spent. A lot of time in the NFL -- at a good understanding for what NFL offenses do especially in terms of protection. And I think that has been the biggest thing that has translated. From college to the NFL has been the protection schemes and it's very similar to what we're doing. Now but I think it's just more defined in the NFL. There's more adjustments that Japanese makers different call different things that you can do. And and then you can do because you have more time to prepare and so I would say that's that's kind of power. Transition from from Jack -- offense -- what we're doing now."

" You're known as they are a much of this term applies to the -- eight gym rat at Boston College in terms of studying the film first opponent last -- ago. How many hours a day would you estimate on non game days Matt are you are you involved whether it's at home watching video or in the in the facility getting getting ready for Sunday's game how many hours a day we talking about."

" I -- it depends on the day -- week. Right now just getting ready to have an indictment that facility -- billionaire -- About 845 today until about three -- four in the afternoon and then tonight. Ghetto. Accent over to my house and go over the game plan for what we're going to do against Philadelphia but I don't say you know. Most -- during the week you know on Wednesday and Thursday which are your busy days you're crying going to be very close to twelve hours."

" What do you like best about being the quarterback in the NFL notes only 567 games in."

" It gains I think that that doesn't change for anybody everybody you know you have to do the practice you have to prepare but the fun part is -- up there and being able to compete. And play the games sovereign that the most."

" How much does it help to be in Atlanta we -- tough transition -- rookie starter if you're in Dallas you'd probably have a stalker. You know even in New York to be following you with cameras into the men's room I mean you wouldn't have. A moment to breathe in Atlanta I guess it's a little different."

" Billions and it's nice and we we've gotten great support and I've been down here but people do give your space which is which is a nice luxury to have."

Since I've been here it's continue to get better and I think that's important obviously you know each week they were in the dome and each time we win a game. The fans start to -- out a little bit more in and the fans become a little louder so it's it's been positive in that respect that that people have. Begin to appreciate some of what we're doing down here."

" That's a compliment to your question I think it's. " I think it's more certain short term and that. You know the way Mike Schmidt has been broken now we we have this season broken down into quarters. You know or crap play after our second quarter right now -- got two more games to go in. And the team -- to win each quarter and actually winning each quarterback -- take care of itself. At the end of the season so right now it's it's more of a shorter so."
