" Every Tuesday during the NFL season at this time we talked with. Our NFL insider former NFL scout fox Sports Radio host. Chris Landry -- with -- Chris I don't I'm doing good gentleman tight -- students more. Well we're doing okay just okay -- we were ahead talent we're still trying to figure out this wildcat offense and why -- coaching staff as good as the Patriots couldn't figure out a way to stop it in six tries."

" Well no it's it's it's a valid questions and I think that. You know I think really when you look at Miami -- B I think set the tone for the game pretty early with their physical approach and and that what they and they put some extra blockers and they pulled the backside guard a lot and and there's no question that the Patriots seem confused but. They also he seemed. And athletic and they didn't react very world that it. Physically or mentally and you know we've seen it. A few times in the league this year you know -- Raiders it used it with the you know McFadden obviously detective used it it'll planning used to. -- very well what. Norwood and turner in the Saints you know with -- so. It's just something that we've seen a little bit in the league so it shouldn't be something that. Eat eat eat confused shouldn't confuse people it's difficult to stop but yet I think he can he can certainly do it -- like it's something that is. On the way that is going to change the game so to speak but I think in terms of having to prepare practice time for it. Is something that teams are going to have to do a better job."

" Sure the Patriots were confused by it but even more shocking was the fact Chris that. The Dolphins pushed them around -- on Sunday how do you think the Dolphins were able to do that against the Patriots that I still can't believe."

" Where -- you know again I'll go back to -- it was a whole game was. Decided by the physical approach that they took and they put some extra blockers they pulled their backside guard. A lot as a lead blocker so they had more guys in in the that they territory -- called for and they just physically. Control the line of scrimmage no question that good movement in and obviously Ronnie Brown had a fantastic game. It was still need that was more the story an Award to -- you know trek amounts to stop I think it was. You know but it did not reacting to it at all by. What was was certainly confusing but I think the fact that they physically dominated them at the line of scrimmage was very surprising and a lot of cutback stuff while the missed directions -- inning grand the ran out of spreads set I think expose their. -- speak and you know keep in mind that. You know been hitting it very familiar Parcells a lot of guys over there that. Knows that personnel pretty well and knows about chronicle about doing things there and I just think that they said. They had a really good game plan and they take advantage of it in the Patriots if for whatever reason were not as well prepared did not adjust well. And didn't seem to then. To play with the type of intensity that we normally see a Patriots team play."

" Chris you know how things go on this 21 century media culture we over react to everything. A we analyze everything so I'm I'm trying to to over react to what the Patriots didn't I still think they're good team. But I'm tempted to you to look at the Dolphins a little more closely than I would've. Maybe 96 hours ago -- to I think these Dolphins. Can do this consistently are they able you think you'll be able to win eight games."

" No I don't I think that there thirteen that as -- Is that still going into the year what I thought about the Dolphins pretty much of that epic about a now. Now misses before -- and got -- he gives them a little bit more of an opportunity. To do more things offensively systematically than they did prior to bring union but. So on MAB is and maybe another game or two in -- this past week was one example of it that they might be able to win more than I thought but. What I Seattle Dolphins thirteen -- get a good job this offseason changing the culture. A -- players. That understand. The type of style of ball they want to play. Physical. And I think that they're going to play teams tough I think they're going to lose some games in the fourth quarter because of their lack of depth. And they certainly as we get towards the latter -- the season. Win injury start to take its toll -- from a general standpoint and everybody goes through they may teams like that get more effective than others felt. I think that that they're still going to win just a few gains. But I think you can definitely look at it as a positive sign that the culture's changing the attitudes changing. It's certainly you reinforcement to everything that's been taught in training camp and offseason program. Then and I think that the Dolphins are you on their way to doing something positive but it's going to take another two good offseason before they can. It'll be a playoff contender but I think maybe. You know were maybe four wins with possible may be now. You know maybe now six -- possible I think that with the with Pennington in their ability to -- things offensively but that might give them an extra winners."

" People who didn't watch the Monday night game and only looked at the statistics might be fooled into thinking that hey Brett Favre was pretty good last night. Most of his numbers came in the fourth quarter when it was basically garbage time he really didn't perform very well early on -- and through the two interceptions. Was this good move for the Jets as you're looking at it now three weeks into the season."

" Oh yeah I think it is an inadequate and look at it for the Jets they. You know that's I think everybody. Needs to exercise -- little patience and that I -- pitcher but a solid team opened their great team panel think there's a lot of playmakers on offense but. I think brad is going to have a positive effect August advocate if people think that this is going to be the answer in what the Jets are now favorite for the super bought. I think -- they're going to be disappointed because that'll print that was ever the case but I think -- can still have a positive effect but what does. You know so Michael is it is it is he he you can have a -- quarterback which you have to have a really good team morale element Brett. Is no different than -- been for a few years and that is when the team has been really good he's able to protect the football -- more not take as many chances. And they can win and win very well. If he has to feel like he has to come back and you know from behind. In -- out of makes things make things happen and then there's when you do that things mistakes are going to take place I don't care what quarterback York. If you forcing the ball a -- one dimensional offensively. You're going to be at different looking team and -- is not going to sit there in and just he's he's not ward about stats he want to try to win. And if they're behind he's going to throw the football and go abroad budget he's going to force it and it's going to be couple big plays but they're going to be some negative place and it does that work out that way. The team around -- news is not good enough and you don't necessarily to go deep into the playoffs but I -- think that there are capable. A playing well enough to at least stay in -- you know divisional race for a little while."

" Well you speak of the divisional race we've asked about the Dolphins master but the Patriots he dismissed in the Jets. How about that team in western New York three you know for the first time since 1992 why they're so good so far."

" Well you know I really liked his team in training camp elected to the lab report like you're nobody get a better job. The preparing his team week in and week out and Dick Jauron and his staff election. I you know look at young quarterback in other labeled a manager -- can be competitive -- well he going to the offseason and it really get a good job of attacking. Their football team and try to figure out what are we needed need to get better. Scallops certainly -- stand a great deal on -- deep center front they're backed into their -- a lot better than people give them credit for. They make plays on the ball the other best best special teams unit all football. They're not tasted the return units but the coverage units -- outstanding. So they flip the field very easily create good field position for their offense they've got a good running game. In they've got a quarterback that -- he sees that Theo well he's very smart. He protects the football and that is so important. Al always beats always relate this. There's a 71 ratio big plays versus mistakes and means if you'd turn the ball over you make mistakes. It takes seven big place in big plays -- defined by explosive plays of pass yard pass plays of twenty yards or more run plays of ten yards of what it takes seven of those plays to make up 41 mistake. So you realize how important it is to play smart football protect the football and they do that pretty well now what I was impressed this past week is that. Even though they didn't like what they were outplayed by the Raiders most of the game bullet and they came back they they played smart enough in efficient enough to come back and win. Answer you that to me was a positive sign for them and that. They did it they feel like they can win games even when they don't play as well as they're capable and and I don't I think that was they're probably the weakest performance of the year against a right."

" Have you ever seen a worse situation. This early into a season and what the Raiders have got going right now."

" Well. You know it's the Raiders and it's been a mass before. I mean we tend to forget that you know Mike Shanahan of Greenberg coaches kind of and a very similar situation misses. Probably worse because Al lead in a little bit older and a little bit more cantankerous than he normally is. And it's pretty bad I mean -- terms of this function. This is probably -- the worse it's an embarrassment to polygamy the angles or just bad they have an ownership that doesn't have a clue. But this is a case where you know the owner. Basically -- I'm not surprised that we were doing that this show in. And we've reports that this was going to capital Monday and I sit on the year you know it -- don't don't expect anything that happened on Monday or Tuesday. The system and Al Al hi how does this Al Ellis cronies as a were going to do. Probably want to make ailing Cuban sweat probably want to -- more distractions. You know O'Neal sit on it changes my five times and then you never -- on the -- certainly -- Lane Kiffin -- not going to be there for the long all we know that they don't pop. But it's it's a -- it's it's really an embarrassment. For the lead and organization operates well isn't Al just try to get him to quit so we have to pay uncle el Al. -- you fired Mike Shanahan. And it didn't managed doesn't play in the Saturday steadily money deals heels on 270. Some odd thousand -- which is why you know that's always been out. I'm not that we need to cola collected from I don't mean that but you know out because of money for it. Did art here when he fired it's. It's you know you get there is below the normal operating procedure that the league in the and you get. You get the way the Raiders and and it's just it's really weird cats -- in the league meetings owners meetings where you have votes and stuff and in normally 98%. Of the time the voters did did the Raiders don't blow you you have up. You know you have a topic of an important topic -- league and just -- need to -- liked. It's really hard to explain it would take it it would take a week's worth the chose to go over some of the that the -- I mean it's it's it's amazing I'd says he'll he'll you know he's at I don't know if you noticed but he's a -- it. He'll come in late he's -- he's 11 AM type arrive to the office and -- selected three in the and he's known to. Does. Call up coaches staff meeting like. You know. Midnight you know win you know coaches have been there's been like 5 in the morning in an geologists call on just -- either tick them off for -- you know I just a day it's just really really weird how he does things of that -- people that work did it. Tell me stories that Stan. If it's it's really hard to comprehend something that it."

" Well Chris you may have just answered my next question I would Jerry Jones Jerry Jones is an owner who thinks he knows football and he's a general manager he's going to acquire players at George Steinbrenner when he was healthy and baseball -- it was. You know I know baseball players want to look at that guy is Al Davis is the problem. That he still sees himself as coach Davis and he feels like he knows more than anybody in the building."

" Well yeah I mean you're right I mean Jerry Jones don't. Anybody -- Gary does make the football decision and pick the players believe and he just wants credit for me just. He wants to be at the press conference you know I want to tell everybody did this but. Al is just gaps he doesn't talk to depressed you guys know but he and beat you take that job. These -- the coaches you're gonna have in my idolize you if you're lucky. Four positions -- you can hire as head coach on staff you'll do things a certain way he'll decide. To release players sign a player. Whatever he wants to do not even not to discuss with -- that don't even tellem and end the you know may be allowed to send a message or -- but he has certainly been known to send a message. To put in a certain dire tickets -- out or run a certain player do certain pointers in the game that's less now than. In the past his health is is failing he's still ready. You don't coherent in terms of -- still pretty bright -- he'd he'd but physically he's he's got some issues days dealing with but he's very very. He's known for doing a lot of different things -- key for it's it's he will interview people for jobs that are not even open my keel. He'll call up and he'll Carolina. I got interviewed one dominated the Florida beautiful I feel like say all right he'll call and -- wool the -- annual interview on guys. For special teams that would just not even open. Interviewed a guy well what he'll do it's probably -- guy on the brothels but -- seats or somebody -- span. 23000 phone interviewing and getting his that person's opinion on the personnel in Oakland. Then maybe fly and then maybe not. And then more car he just wants to gather information in the in his -- he's he's famous for Dillon net. And he just doesn't you know when you did you hear guys go in for interviews that doesn't necessarily mean anything like it normally that. He -- it to make very very famous for signing a guy. For a week that maybe it was in training camp for the team that they're playing the common week to -- Tiki you know -- open in the old days. Now a lot of the stuff song laptops but he used to eat eat they'll eat it was very well known that if you up player that was struggling. To make ends meet you keep you've kept. On the it's that you will with the Patriots and you got -- which you made a copy of your playbook was well known that at some point in the year. Bad Al Davis -- brilliant for a week. In my -- you know 10000 dollar for the copy of the Patriots playbook -- the Broncos playbook but. Indians. Always doing things that was. He's just really amazing but he's he's a very very interesting to me he says he's. It does things you'll be at UB 2 o'clock in the morning you know -- video director. You know asking where certain Patriots or he'll call equipment manager and in today and make him drive 45 minutes to get Chinese -- in the -- and you know since 5 o'clock in the morning got home at mid ninety's got to get up to look like -- or -- get out you know. You know. Tom lane in April and made it it really needs it needs of different entity."

" well I was appreciate the time good tucked -- eight states have a great week Chris Chris yesterday calls. That job don't don't believe the data coming out at it and don't believe it and I know he's station that I had down there he just trying to trying to get information from now I exit it. -- That is our fox football insider Chris Landry a scout now -- on fox Sports Radio. -- of the field and that's great the but it interview for -- Buford. So when it doubled and open and let's talk about it what would you give. I'd pass on I -- really like our special teams that. You know I believe that I'm Al Davis called him and and I don't care if he's fallen off brilliant Lane Kiffin. I I believe I'd say you know -- things out."
