" The local sports franchises. Are our -- kind of looked on on two opposite ends of the spectrum right now. I mean the Red Sox are playing great Dustin Pedroia is playing otherworldly. The Patriots haven't played greater all yet and it paid Canada. And you know we were all I think fairly confident that Brady's going to be fine on Sunday and everything's going to be great but -- question marks."

" Yeah I haven't had an opportunity that to listen to the station not last week and half but I imagine. That there are some legitimate concern from the fans not about the direction of the Patriots. The coaching the Bill Belichick. The -- the ability of Tom Brady. The drafting ability and and free agent. Acquisition ability of Scott pioli. But just the bottom line this team has -- no energy. And no real consistency throughout the pre season and you can't just rely on -- the pre season because you see in the first unit out there especially defensively. And they haven't looked to -- nobody has looked good in four games."

" I mean you'd think that the one play. Where Fernando Bryant get dragged into the end zone like he was -- was like the straw that broke the Camel's back back a little boy hold on to his father giving Dallas the one what did you get all right in a lot. And Hudson now. I mean I started all four pre."

" Yeah you start off -- pre season games but he was he was beaten out by people made I guess the good news here if you want to look at something positive the good news is. A draft -- Terrence Wheatley. Outperformed. Fernando for a simple as that. He was beaten out by people that they brought in other Lewis Sanders outperformed Fernando Bryant. I Ellis Hobbs out before Fernando Bryant so it felt like they had other people in place they had better people. And they let go. That's the good news bad news is. This is an out I guess is more good news with a little bad news underneath an opportunity to expect a market work and without a doubt -- No matter what you hear from people on fox what you hear from people on ESPN. Anywhere else. The San Diego Chargers are not the most talented team in the NFL. The Indianapolis Colts are not the most talented team in the NFL the New York football Giants superbowl champs are not the most talented team and and it felt but most talented team is right here October. On paper whatever that means. They have the most counts that's good news bad news is. They've been those -- students. Ages are waiting for the test to start. Sometimes those students are are valedictorian and they can get it done at a time those students are are sitting there right number five right now."

" Six in class thing. Welcome another ballot the tournament rise because you didn't do it. At all times you thought you could just show up and rely on your ability. I think that's what's happened with the Patriots how much of of the them involved lack of Tom Brady's presence in the pre season was just plan by dollar check. Eighth the offensive line was kind of makeshift throughout the pre season. And you know why take a chance beat. You know we've seen enough other guys get hurt around the NFL guy I mean big time important players for different franchises get hurt. If that guy gets hurt. You know were in a heap of trouble NC. Foot pole last you have."

" And at the pretty thing doesn't bother me doesn't concern me but the way they've played does Bill Belichick doesn't want this. You know Bill Belichick did what Tom Brady to play those final two games of the pre season. What he wanted to see more energy from this team right he won a disease or more productive play."

" Ashley defensively. I'm asking -- that the offense was kind of makeshift in. You know little ramshackle here and the will stick this guy in there and that guy in there Aaron and you know we know Matt Cassel and Matt to terrorism. O -- or not -- Hurley Tom Brady so we know what we're going to see but the offensively. You saw the ones get pushed around probably a lot more than they want to say."

" And not that they were scheme and anybody. I don't I don't think and you look at that Tampa game. Not the Tampa was Tampa wasn't. Game planning for New England New England with the game planning for Tampa yeah the Giants are game planning for New England when there was in game planning for the Giants but. Just on basic football players -- you do have to go hard because you don't go hard. I you'll get hurt. In these meaningless scrimmage is slash practices that are over price that the different story for different segment. Do you want to see some something positive. And they want a lot of positives. Now let me ask you this -- surprise where US surprises I was when you saw the list of cuts. And Chad Jackson was on that list."

" It's funny we had Jackson on on Friday. And objects that it was not our fault they're out. We -- on Rafael anymore and he admitted he was real nervous -- week. You know he he he admitted that you know there was a lot of a lot of theory trepidation going on and and you know he hoped he had done enough to make the team. I just think that there comes a point there's there's a Fisher cut the eight point -- with with pioli and telecheck where. You know especially for your draft pick that game meanwhile in an instant case that -- along. And Chad Jackson along blind."

" Well not really. If you think about it me -- I was drafted. Was his first year old 20066. And O seven okay -- six he was hurt part of the year. He got he got a late start to camp but I remember had a touchdown and as the in his first game he played. 2007. 2008. Really doesn't have a long time they went up to get them in the draft they moved up. I -- against there're couple things you -- with catcher. Positives and negatives and trying to get trying to get both -- back as the new I would new guy and try to give you both sides of the story. The positive -- He has made so many strides in terms of them and in terms of maturity. In two years. Just off the field I sat up pretty impressed talk into home on Friday and I ate he was a different guy and the guy have spoken to a couple of years trust me his his -- year he was a disaster yeah. Off the field had no idea how to prepare for the NFL. That the coaches were concerned about them. Other players were concerned about him he just wasn't ready for the NFL. He came out of Florida early in the probably should've stayed with two young. To be in the league in -- got to be on the come to this team. Where the expectations are so high and you better if you don't know about it. How to do something you'd better be willing listen you better be willing to humble yourself like Jerod Mayo has been or are you just not going to make it so he's come along way from that standpoint but once again. People were better than Chad Jackson so. I guess that the positive is that he has improved he's matured the negative is just wasn't good enough for him to make this team. Now here's the concern for the Patriots overall in the system that. That they'll have to address. In -- self scouting meetings when the season is over because there's no time doing right now. Look at some of their second round -- They've really struggled. With some second round picks Deion Branch great. In the second round. Chad Jackson was not agree pick in the second. -- east don't want to speak ill of the dead. Marquis -- the football player right right. It was not a good use. Of -- around another guy who they gave a lot of chances to show some then I think because he was the second round -- Amateur that he really did -- what they were expecting to see bet they'll Johnson. Not a good -- around -- pat someplace. Out probably five -- handful of plays market I think. They they're so good in the first round. Because they go with they go with the philosophy that I'm about to get deep here now has not won the point the entire show this is that what what times. And 32 and 1032 which is it folks in Bangalore a wrist wow I what I."

" My one big point that that -- look. Back at their craft. -- elaborate. I've been -- right -- Okay the Patriots in the first round are willing to do something that. Many people in America don't yeah. They -- shoes solid over six. So actually we don't need to actually winning at all. So Ty Warren. Acute from Texas and am just gotten -- I liked the pitch not a flashy player but no one runs on him. Well I was solid in the first round and a Richard Seymour they wanted him they want somebody wants actually David route. Whose checks he's written that on on accounts point probably player benefit football. All that -- Richard Seymour as last -- college yet once back. Once that. But they said this is our guy yeah. He was solid over -- The Patriots do that the first round that's why they rarely missed the first in the second round they almost feel compelled it's always good to go at that height weight speed. Come buying. Come -- that's you know -- I ran -- to wait. How many reps this guy did on 225. Else but I finished. He doesn't matter. Of football players. And this is almost -- it's gone away from football players. In the second round he's gone with the numbers."

" Well I I I it's hard to argue with you based on how things have gone here. I think between the two cuts over the weekend at surprise most people were Chad Jackson Charlotte and John Lynch I still think college is comin' back. I think that there was the whole idea of having him best his season's salary if he's on the opening week roster. I think they liked a lot of what they saw not enough to best the salary for the season. There's no there was too much and and John Lynch has has earned a certain amount glad handing anyway we're talking about a whole fame performer here. So Bill Belichick is going to say nice things about him. -- he does about Chad Jackson you know when he -- the guy but reading -- comments you know you never know how it's gonna work cut down the line reading John Lynch -- comments. I just -- feeling he's going to be back and and you know they don't have to best the whole season's salary after if they re sign him after the first week of the season. I think he's a guy you're gonna -- them back in the -- O'Neal picked. I think basically it was a numbers thing I am I don't think I don't think that they signed dealt O'Neal to -- here and start. You know six days after they signed and -- happen. -- I don't think he can. Yeah I know it's a two time pro bowler I admit it and you know erased a world wide white Cincinnati irrelevant. I just I I think that."

" They gonna all of about three million dollars Cincinnati if they kept him. Which is now a lot of money but I don't know what their cap situation as. You know not the player obviously wasn't in 200510. Picks. Channel five but he's a guy who can help him a bit. Can help them in the return game and play some corners they don't need him to be. A star. But right now. You might beat him by a week seven a week eight. You might be very impressed by Terrence Wheatley north talk about right now everybody's talking about societies and knowing how they have replaced him. But they may have come up with the gem in this kid Wheatley who who has played pretty well form."
