" Welcome everybody to a fantastic addition all of -- MIT's mailbag. I'm -- pod Jason talked -- alongside Joey to -- Joe was a bottle. And Joe -- we got a stack of emails every week it seems like people are really they're listening to us and not only that they really want -- emails read on and no email female speaks I was kind disappointing pro listeners. Yeah was this morning probably for a listeners not from me but anyways joke and Mikey when Mike Redmond so let's W Jody. I'm -- got one from in some unnamed source. I love Jacoby September but I have one thing to say about September center fielders Duane Posey. Duane Posey jealousy you know little younger. And I remember -- Duane Posey coming up mid ninety's whatever he only had to stand for the Red Sox and I broke down so they're numbers. All looking at -- very obvious he had a fantastic September October as well but -- a 116 at bats this year. -- very put together 353 average. On in the ninth for nine stolen bases forty hits when he runs a pretty good numbers however in 1995. A center fielder by the name of Dwyane Hosni. A 338 average 68 at bats though obviously not as many. But decent average when he warrant when he runs 23 hits and six for six stolen bases so you could see the comparison there. Like our our email here however. It didn't happen so well in 1996 for Duane Posey 78 at bats the 218 batting average in only seventeen so. If you that'd be emailing here are considering that. Many Nady getting the second coming of Dwyane Jose while then I would trade Jacoby -- very immediately to the Minnesota Twins. Jacoby els berries is filled with talent though he's fast he can hit the ball he's not going to hit thirty or more home runs a season. From double -- star. -- I was very surprised to see on national TV the Atlanta Falcons allowing players to show support for Michael beck. They acted like a bunch conned -- on national TV. Why did the NFL allow this I think this is a big mistake by the NFL and I had not heard any talk about any fines coming down from the NFL. Maybe this is why the coach quit on nap from -- second I would like to hear from you my teeth or not plan -- step what is lower. Then being called -- dog thanks al while her L we can think of many things that's lower than being pulled the dog I'd say being crippled. A one in a child glory just a human beings live at worst and dog we get -- all day long however on. DeAngelo Hall was one of them DeAngelo Hall had. One of those I black patches that said and be seven on it. And and Roddy White wide receiver had a free Mike Vick T shirt on underneath his Jersey and when he needed to play he lifted up for the crowd in the TV to see it Ellis and I think NFL probably won't do anything here. Now a lot of people have been bitching and moaning about Bobby Petrino the next day accepting the position. As the head coach university Americans. I don't know I don't know what exactly happened Joe I don't know the conversations were back and forth but. I've seen DeAngelo Hall called him out in the media guessing and yell at them on the sidelines during football games. Bobby Petrino is a good coach he's been in the NFL before is it as a coordinator he's -- Attica successful career at Louisville's head coach. Why you want to put up with the scrap I don't think he doesn't tell you the truth I felt like Bobby Petrino. Is better off to college maybe this is him. You know trying testing the waters in the NFL taking that big paycheck tell you truth he thought it would have Michael Vick when he accepted the job bought it."

" The -- job as a head coach is to have control over his team obviously he did not with on the actions of DeAngelo Hall are obviously commenting on many times about Bob Petrino in her -- whites actions. In order I I think Bobby white Bobby bug -- it was definitely in the wrong -- here you're the head coach the football team you need to control your football players. In if you can't it's not the right spot for you. And obviously the the pros word too big of a level --"

" I don't necessarily agree that at all because. -- I like you said he realized that this team you know he wasn't in control this team and that's his fault he's a rookie head coaching in rookie coaches need time. Two you know develop their personal developed assists in their discipline there what do you want to call you know what. Look at around the league -- means you have teams that yes they're not playing so well however. The coach is still our you know there's still well respected in whipped by the players by the organization by the fans. Bobby Petrino had only been -- for thirteen games thirteen games and he was treated -- street like he was an assistant interim coached by some of his players and you know what. This team went down -- or even coach his first game that was when Michael Vick was convicted and got suspended from the NFL sell Bobby Petrino. Good -- at Arkansas I have no problem that you leaving the the these bunch of before owns from Atlantic and honestly. I think that. If this stops and NFL organization from hiring another college coach -- I I think shame on them because there are great coaches out there like Bob stoops -- could. Develop into a fantastic and it -- coach. And -- we've seen it would nick Saban last year on which you know this year Steve -- over the years but. That doesn't mean that all college coaches can not war in the NFL. No coaches and needs to learn how to gain the respect of their team's successful football coaches have done that by betrayal could not do that this year. And on each year this year or thirteen games so it gave them more of a week ago if -- give -- give himself more or know of any council. When he came and he thought that his team would be. Quarterback Michael not that it happened I mean this team left. Will win a 120 games that's a very very lofty dream however Mikey is granted last year was a hundred when he wins without Santana so if they do get Santana -- right I like he could predict a 120 -- pass up. I think got under and eight wins though is right on target if they do get Santana -- that -- in 98 wins so I'll stick and I said 96 last year and I was correct. I'm Mikey said a hundred -- and on the stick Mikey was deathly go ball 110 this year that's my prediction. My prediction before they get Santana jump 94 wins without with Santana nine settlements."

There's still no way the player association will allow random drug testing a player's. Don't they allow remembered -- players to what they do well random but maybe he's saying HG SH testing which is blog actual blood work you know so maybe even tough to detect with the blood work so maybe that's where maybe that's what this emails going -- finish up. As a baseball fan I think -- rather see Selig set a mandatory drug testing rule in of players decide to strike I say let them. Listen I."

There's nothing to strike about I mean if it drug testing is what the players have to strike against that really suggesting that the players are. Using these drugs so right now the players aren't up. You know legal status well -- I actually think -- going to come -- a major major step of drug testing in professional sports. Here and come up -- if some sort of drug testing for each GH now when will that happen I don't know I know that they'll do steroid testing. As they always do they have been doing for the past years. Already Selig and company has said already that it -- the new rule on it can not give a player 24 hours in advance of random drug test it will just give up player the random drug test that day. However I don't know if 24 -- she could flush drug -- system or not. But the fact that there. You know cutting back on the communication is some sort of a sign. We we are going to sit -- watch how it goes but John I I think -- Major League Baseball has got nothing nothing on their mind but cleaning themselves of these drugs."

On stick up to some of the responsibility that he deserves Rodney Harrison's another one who admitted what he had done does a lot of players that. Get caught in -- admit what they have done they can't come to reality. Do you think she was waiting until mid season so he could use spring training in the first half to juice up. Bomb being cited for steroid use was 19971998 in 1999 years like that now let me give you 97. 264 innings a 21 and seven record and -- 25 ERA pitching for the Toronto Blue Jays. You know it -- You know that they're citing Roger Clemens just in you know maybe he started using steroids when he got up to Toronto who knows maybe it's the connection with Jose Canseco. One loss of one won and lost too low E -- Listen if Santana came here -- he's not going to be a four -- for person rotation to be five and has got plan got to get plenty of rest. Going to get a better offense -- the twins had. And granted you know what he might be playing. A little bit better a little bit better baseball than the titans I think just playing for the Boston Red Sox playing at Fenway Park. Tom -- don't know he rises the levels of articulate players should be he doesn't pitch well and family party pitches well Yankee stadium but I."

In the post season I think that the bigger the star player is. I'm they're more exposed in the post season because sending frankly a player can be can carry his team in the regular season.
