" Protector of the planet like he show I -- we have. If people want to talk about running up the score with the secrets and I guess we can continue to talk to you guys although reproach repeated of course and that when he don't think yes we also have two guests in the in the in the house for an involved in playoffs right now so I'm sure that eventually here. When these. That the soccer callers will come through as they always Stewart brad Feldman joins us in along with brad is Jeff Horowitz who has midfielder a guy who's been a -- we should know from his history as. To test all of market Cabrera that's correct and that's pretty good and we've. Four years that's correct in -- as a guy who could play a little bit and the playoff game this Saturday. Is going to be Natalie played at 730. That's in Foxboro Brett -- but it's also going to be a televised. As a fox soccer channel and you can hear our broadcast on WRKO life our our sister station right down the hall AM 680 and so while you guys that get -- getting geared up again for what seems to be an annual offense with the -- we -- revolution which is so automatic playoff time."

" Six years in a row and if they advance and be the third year in -- they go to go to the conference final or sort watching very closely to see how this Chicago DC series ends up because Perez -- defeat New York on Saturday night they'll wait to meet the winner of the Chicago DC series. If Chicago hangs on wins then again be in Foxborough this comment Thursday we from the ninth November the eighth if DC. Terrorism over that it would be game down in and."

" Washington okay so there there are two different ways to go and is obviously when it's much preferable home game attack he'd have it you want to have it. That's all part of it -- feel about the -- home advantage -- disadvantage how -- does it depend on -- course probably the rivalry is what's --"

" It's the -- play at home I think if -- to advance hopefully to the semifinals obviously want the -- game because it is a long game series in the in the quarterfinals it's Teamsters and the higher seeded team is at a disadvantage as you can see in the DC seriously went down. One nothing on the play on the road in the first game and in fact all higher -- other than us. Fell in the first in the first game of the two game series so. It's just the disadvantage but obviously I felt we did well leading to -- eagles and everything cliff -- points."

" Now or who's there at the biggest hated rival wall now who's established themselves the revolution stories enemy -- they play next certainly -- This is DC has been over the past few years but I Chicago where there has advanced to play the -- idea that -- that has claimed at the end of the conference championship game two years ago on Expos. Last year came down the penalty kicks and some big saves by Matt recent. So if there's there's mystery with all the eastern converse -- you hate those guys -- Guys what's Estrada expected to hear what would be year -- your column and if there's one team."

" This is just a team effort obviously in years past we've had MVPs our team until a -- scores on the goals and and that reason Michael Parker's Wheaton defense but. I think it's -- of the team after this year -- has scored a lot of goals and and obviously help the team and -- has -- thousand Michael parker -- defenders of the year but. It's that simple -- particular aspect mum. But I think that if I had to -- probably point to the -- that a player and I threw story justice he's really the the driving engine on our team and and really leaves us."

" And he just re signed which is a huge thing for the team because he did have interest from overseas are and there are some contract dispute stuff to -- in your sorry -- never dropped his head and and showed up and played some -- soccer of his Corey there week in week out and he's you know he's a monster -- doubles everything but he's he's aggressive and -- you know -- via the opposition -- but the thing is he's also skillful he wins a ball and -- and Jeff is the same as the same way so. They want to see the red central midfield two big guys who were both thought to offense go."

" Christian and I know you were defender. Helps us in solid so it's I mean you got maybe so -- serious goes from that side of the field but what would change when you became midfielder -- what did you do differently."

" Statistics after the us an active a little bit in my club soccer it is Nazr youth play of it obviously used to be a better passer of the boy -- the key possession and and I think that over the last couple years it's been easier clinics -- because via. He always wants the ball and I just penalize him but obviously be -- to pass the ball well wanted to start the attack is something that's different from being central fan."

" What's been your toughest the top aside soccer game this year you know I watched that listen that -- it. I got the ball very let this thing last year. And I went down to Frisco, Texas and watch what I consider to be one of the most unbelievably tents and -- totals you where you know side it was -- I was at tufts of down there and and and home field advantage at the students that hits I think that's it goes about sexist game even those -- neutral site well response to leeway to netted a ten mile caravan into the game and down the right -- it and add this to you got a four -- little -- fort down there but that was a big long travel trip for. For revolution fans to make and you -- did not have an advantage of that was. Hard smart gave of course a heart -- weather games this year that. It felt like that for you guys amicus you know we get down that point where it's -- 13 second difference."

" Yeah tough I mean we took we moved for years and not being able to score a final and we finally do it and I think that their own -- tired and celebrating and using came down -- But here we've we've we've even we've lost fleas and we've ended up tying games and losing games but I I think we've sort of tighten it up the end of the year and I think that. Probably the last three or four games are -- toughest stretch all year at say because of having gone -- and losing."

" It was just just a leaving -- the fact the reds did to win big game this year they won the US open cup which is -- competition from MLS but hopefully MLS teams it's the first mr. our final that the revolution organization -- and and -- but doesn't carry quite the same Christie's is MLS cup oh my goodness DC just scored a soccer field -- the caller they called it off that's good field. I'm doing play by play."

" Activist I used to at a particular period action as not it's not just to the fact that it's hard to and we just back to -- to the -- audition -- From line to -- It bad enough."

" Nicely -- very concise great player what they call it went off -- on goalmouth goalkeeper and in our phone -- 6177790 Horry 50 toll free 8885250850 how's the how's the crowd reaction been how's the Ford is a grown at all this year isn't."

" They when they trouble now my partner on the air Greg lawless his go to the port afford and they did they -- two. -- Toronto they went out to Kansas City and Denver they've they've been pretty good but attendance is way up 42% it's up to -- season averaging nearly 17000 a game which compares very favorably to the Boston team its plane tonight actually exceeds their their -- from last year so -- it is it and a."

" I'm sorry I got no you go out and argue archer turned Ellis on the same line just follow up to new and there's I think -- something in the paper due on course to the -- that. You might need a stadium for itself and related is that is that just a pipe dream is that something that's on the."

" On the board well it -- there's no deal yet but certainly that the Kraft family has been open about -- actively pursuing that I don't think there any deals that are close to completion but you know it's been reported on pretty widely in the press and and that's the model all the teams are going by you know we're seeing now eight teams have -- owned stadiums and more coming in there are building eminent. You know in New York has one under construction San Jose the the new team next year's going to have one and it's certainly you very much on the radar screen what way to be too far ahead asked the question would it be in -- would that be something that could. Good enough time. I think it could very well be in another town I I don't think you know the Foxboro or that areas out of the question by the you can also seated in a major metropolitan parity got that nice big park and you know it's well lit match and they they're they're opening patriot place this week so that there's a lot going on down there how much are where they put it this aren't. -- all the big box stores are open up this month so -- if you could find some land between frame him and Alfred. The climate there's a lot of things."

" I'm -- there any room left to -- something you know starting out veterinary shop for on just. Monkeys in llamas. Like the planet zone well a lot of money previously if you guys notice -- stage you gotta specialize that's so I I think you're just change the subject I didn't I -- I got a poster in -- who's going to change the subject the past never going to order at Mansfield compartment the rest. But first let's -- it Jose in Rockford has and is minus seems important."

" She -- It's important. It was just just suggesting that last meal at a lot of other steel doors at the exit on moving along well we're excited -- feel my head."

" I am going to argue. The show I'm so glad to pocket proper rest I I just want to say that seven minute game it going to be incredible. I can't wait you know. But one disappointment but I would sort stated I would love the rams stayed there is that it will take the football lines offbeat games. Soccer teams and I -- Saturday night is false spot."

" Confusing for. Stairs is second guessing it off the players ask this question the other day and once on the field you know -- boosted its more bowler but I think for the for the fans watching on TV or even -- the that the stadium does. It's just not at the -- just first game for the -- is yet he came out wearing this leather helmet with the -- holes we had to explain them. Actually I think guys think you're going to be pleasantly surprised -- on Saturday night."

" All I'm I'm so glad I -- one. Just our man you've been working all artists it's great to see you on the field and getting the spot because he's definitely deserved but."

" I appreciate it thanks a lot and it's over Chicago Chicago's 132 on aggregate which means to you that if the reds advanced and defeat New York on Saturday they would host the conference championship game on November the eighth against the Chicago five votes so far so good so far so good now these guys has got a good enough -- other message. You guys got -- it just isn't part of its breath as the -- kids play soccer right avid diapers now right now him for literally like that. Was it always when your kid always soccer are did you engage in league based on all -- stuff or with that strong vision with went."

" Now I played every sport growing up my dad as a basketball coach -- I was it was a gym -- for years and you know -- on there really better and and if they usually been set aside I decided he's my feet but -- played little league baseball until I was 12 I played football as a middle school I played basketball all through high school and I don't know I think. I'd really developed as a soccer player when house about 15 years old so it took awhile it was really recreational fun for or for awhile and I had a lot of success -- an -- thought that it goes on."

" 15 you -- around I played for FC Delco which is one of the lead clubs nationally there at the Philadelphia area obviously years in Boston we have several including FC Greater Boston Bolton -- New Hampshire seacoast united several other. Clubs but what you do see -- more more as these -- specializing from such an early age if you talk to most of the guys are starting players for the revolution. They played other sports as you know Taylor 12 was drafted by the Kansas City Royals most of these guys you know played basketball jay -- actually played and the duke varsity but he immediately I think you'll agree Jeff specializing too early can really limit your athletically."

" I think so I mean there are those those accused and your drawn up there were there were the best players in -- or 12 and then you know that they kind of fizzled out because. They were really enjoying themselves there again push too hard when they're young and I think that. It was it was always funded to play baseball in the summer basketball on the winner and and just kind of keep sock and the back on -- yeah."

" And I -- every here to a -- the played golf what are your handicap"

" when I was playing consistently those are on the 12 but now this -- kind of -- it around at -- smack around -- around -- hours worth mentioning when you when you talk about Jeff and I think get eluded to it on the is Paul. Jeff as. Go to players he wasn't college two time all America out of brown was drafted in in the supplemental draft the equivalent of an eighth round draft choice whom played in the reserve team his first year five -- 5. And only saw the field ones as worked his way up from that reserve team to being a regular starter and -- you know -- all starter candidate going forward and is really you know I think a good example of a guy who -- You know was developed by MLS but also travel late -- because he wasn't one of those you know one track kids when he when he was younger."

" you know -- those players exist you know I think of wanted to -- baseball when we remember all member Dwight Evans a Dwight Evans won a bunch of gold gloves and he ended up being in a guy with 385 career home runs right admirable would Jim rice. But his first 56 years. -- he was just -- great right fielder of the couldn't hit all the said he got better and better and better at at in his. He's before he really up to the point where he was considers star all star. And let the entire major leagues in extra base hits for the decade of the 80s comes out of nowhere so there are guys that develop early. As the saying they burn out early and their guys develop a little bit later as far as."

" Into the pack and -- is a good analogy too because not only is he agreed following central midfielder Jeff olerud was built like. Like to identity as a cat and Dwight Evans could -- had a rifle from right. Jeff Moorad to which you heard the goal call coming in can really sting the ball from outside the penalty area great Larijani scored three."

" Bulls -- you know and four assists right and so to speak about the -- a huge -- just. Of six or 7779085888525 Buick it to use our toll free number. As so we have Jeff -- here midfield for the green revolution in brad Feldman -- to radio TV same time some time since -- not not this Saturday as the national telecast or just just on Mark you know just on the radio. This -- how do you find that to be do you get confused at all from broadcaster perspective when -- when he's done ball you on the ball very well when you combine the two you have to serve two masters don't you do."

" You and I think increasingly I I just tried to call a game more for TV but I think you'll hear that probably. They're -- of people think I over talk a little bit for TV where you can let the -- tell a story. And sometimes those they weren't too it's advancing down the right wing and everybody -- want to intelligence as well he's ranked see once bought Ralf strand just once he does this final cast of the Dallas Stars down Texas TV and radio and he game me some pointers how to do both and I I tried to keep it in the notes I took on that in that day. Handy but it's not easy I just give a little more detail and you hear when -- call it just for the radio then -- you know you -- got them all -- What about the."

" gentleman that you know and and let's let's all face -- we know that there's there's the patriots in the revolution of plated two. Maybe it's a similar audiences he shared audience but there once the NFL and what is MLS but you've got. It's amazing bowl going and you guys are very well going to be apart of this where right maybe five. Different big championships sports stories potential in this marketplace. And you know I want to hand washing the other everybody kind rolls it all into one big you know city champions field but with the patriots take -- the BC eagles undefeated the Red Sox win the world championship the Celtics totally rejuvenated. And the revolution right on the trail of this thing for years now especially his -- ago last year. Could this be like you know -- five for five thing going on here."

" It's not after from practice he got. Championships and it. I'm glad you're under the story I USA today did some that I this morning and I was -- A little bit miffed what did that that fox during their World Series covered -- throw that up there's greatest seasons BC. Is having and I realize you know a top 25 college football team nationally as a bigger story than -- but I think -- to the revolution being in the playoffs deserves to be in there and increasingly you're seeing that when people talk about the potential. For championships and your -- what do your part."

" Of course of course I mean there's there's a lot of or to go and I think that even DC the patriots in the -- haven't started yet that. You know there is some more to be done but it it's always nice to be thrown and these guys because. You know even watch him for years and and you've even been rooting for the men and now it's just nice to be considered in that same category."

" craft and we have two championship teams on there there auspices that you know within the framework of just a few months to that's going to be cool feeling. -- two championship banners going up and in the same class is terrific. I just in your next hello Jessie."

" they're doing good -- in -- long time listener first time caller thank -- very much to me on the air you're. I am I wanted to ask Jeff as they become professional player in the united just normally had put my -- closed -- I visited how exactly do you prepare for it became like one coming up on Saturday."

" I think mentally physically. There isn't it."

" Everything I mean it's so it's it's a weeklong process Iverson don't belong in -- week but I mean leading up to the game you know the guy is much rest as possible but. Mentally I like to keep my mind off of the game until about you know two or three hours -- and then and I use a lot of ohka you know visualization of successfully when I'm in the locker room for the game and just like think positive thoughts before -- for an error on the field."

" How about the workout regiment of the week before the game -- you guys you guys practice every day."

" Yet every day and it usually for five days leading up -- to -- started Tuesday this week so you're supportive spun off. Yeah and I at. The coach is thought to change a lot we we try keep the same routine and and and you know I guess were considered professionals he's got to carry yourself and and they for the -- Louis blues -- ago. So nothing's put in at this time you liked football team let's try this"

" it's -- Probably want to keep -- came -- yeah definitely here that's."

" As far as strategy Jeff I mean it's pretty much we get it that's fine with this would steal some special plays on Thursday or some better treatment techniques Rodham negating any equivalent to -- catching a touchdown -- like an idiot out of practice I don't know first and we -- an archer who has there is -- to keep. That to a certain extent they're there they're changes in tactics you saw that that the reds went into a giant stadium on Saturday while they just close the game down and put 11 bodies behind the ball. They they did have their wing midfielders are going back that's pitching behind the -- it just so they didn't want to give anything away defensively sat I didn't mean I don't expect plates good replacements are."

" I mean you -- goalkeeper Japanese net charge people."

" I yeah we might have a good one for that too but that's the fumble risky tax I think that obviously in the playoffs you know you know you're facing an and its more than just one game series so you you are things specifically about your opponent and things like that but. I don't think there's any major changes you know just to settle you know little. I don't know. Just we move the the last probably Pratt though without them film isn't and things that and we just go from there."

" You know what I used to do work pretty well from human mind in my rosters soccer career was when there's some were real both guys -- into the ball same time it looks like guys going to be Lehman will be the last second ago. --"

" Adjectives tomorrow for that perhaps accurate and sneak out -- didn't change -- him to yeah and reported at yeah yeah it's it's dozens of people laws of the game and you can't walk back yeah."

" Yeah -- I don't I talked."

" Jesse Becker talked Jeff what do you do in the off season it the potential also like to get away obviously dealing with -- the winter in Boston any -- around with it it can be kind of tough. So but I I have family that lives in Pennsylvania and nieces and nephews deceased so I like to go home and the thought -- makes it easy to -- our off season is."

" And you know tone or his toes the biggest story got a when -- throws out what it says that you like to travel to Sweden. I don't want to Sweden into like a boy whose whose amazing because says his place to date outlook report area now series debut -- next time eagle -- you find you teller she'll beat 50 bucks hosts. It is -- and Nestor aren't out yet so I'll blue eyes that earned him is this didn't scare assuming they're a DC went. We'd -- senior utilities to -- that the plan she's just and so refund. It's."

" so -- good you know are you going to let that be in the Iraq on the radio yeah great that was with no he's so it was justly right just absolutely right only have one question would yeah yeah I just want to know if he is going to. She's acting except be more passable bat simply it's like he always played -- game. And placed Cuba made a game. Not to attack and and what the -- and the bat is up you'd resolution -- at minute of the game. In common --"

" Well I don't completely disagree with -- I think that you know -- we might be more of possession oriented team went on those just just bombing for all the time but. As far as as Saturday goes the game is there it needs to be one either of us -- New York so I think you're going to be seeing attacking soccer regardless so. Whether we go up a goal down a goal we're going to be thrown thus far because the game needs to be one as far as Steve changing anything I chances. You know he is specifically but I think that everybody that's going to be playing on the field. For the revolution realizes that you know we're going to need to score so I'll figure going to be -- that so."

" you don't let the game you may change his curse were two more Americans both starters haven't."

" And and you -- them. Jeff your wife's not saint think because you want to reveal too much insist that New York team you play -- have a spike gate thing going to as soon as an opportunity to -- that's on the Internet and you know you -- Vlad very well that that's."

" Just thanks -- You're -- and I just -- just just like that it is making a based on billboards Beckett and and get some goals going."

" I have got I. I got a question prices by the smart about soccer course Lawrence question a comment in this event but that's gotta compliment well and that the -- The criticism of soccer players and one and a fingerprint and one of the things that hurt sort of but criticism of -- soccer is that armed. That the players are are there really athletic more athletic than other. Soccer players of the world but that they don't specialize enough. And and that that's a common we haven't really generated really good men US then he could comment on that."

" We can you can say it goes both ways because -- if if you say we don't specialize in and you know maybe were not as technically sound as the rest the world. But then he also say that we played four different sports growing up and that's what makes this more athletic than their own house around the world so I think it goes both -- and I think."

" It's also just the culture of young kids in other in other countries don't necessarily just play soccer year round I think. You also have kids -- burnout when they're ten or 12 or 15 from from specializing and it's more just getting more the best athletes playing. Better coaching you're seeing this generation of players are going into the pros they've actually had decent coaching they understand the tackle aspects of the game -- technically if you look at the number you guys who're you going to play for top European teams it's it's greater than ever in 2002 the US men's national team made the quarterfinals of the World Cup. And I think things are on a pretty steep upward curve I think that the US is just missing a couple of really special players you know those. Really creative attacking players there once a generation type players and I think that that will be the result. Of improved coaching a better -- structure which analysis and and US soccer starting to impose. And and it because in terms of having the horses that there's no question that the US already has that and those of the players that inspired generations of younger players to greatness sure whether -- croix for Diego Maradona you know you can get the list goes on on the -- these big name players and those guys of those guys that. You know special vision thing you know the touch on the ball that you can't really teach."

" People that would that that people want to be and they grow the sport department Todd thanks to the call Mark in the car we're going to get we get. -- you're -- an answer -- next."

" I have. Good if the question for Jeff I know that deft bit as recently allowed field turf for international play in I'm curious about. How you feel tired teammates feel about playing outfield -- versus natural."

" Well I had to be honest last year when -- when I heard that the politic wanted to put turf and I. -- my room and cried for lava -- to rent the home that's true that those close to solve. I as a first but once -- to play on it in the and you and you see you what can actually be done out there and to give. You know Gillette and politics and whoever the press credit because they put the best serve and so it it can be it can be tough at times you know bottle bounced -- I think that you never going to get a bad surface and playing on -- about a manager perspective. It's -- you'd take the train on which with the idea that's -- I mean we were playing on grass practice 2000 and this probably maybe a handful of teams leave the clown turf so. I don't know as as far as Steve of saying that it that it's okay I think that's just that the in the game changing in and obviously. There's economic whispering."

" I'll give you my perspective from up in the Booth I noted that isn't necessarily optimal but he's right you don't have those days are there were the field just sandwiches you're going to -- northern climate and and also drainage and the drainage is better and what you guys that the way the revolution played as wanted to touch quick passing style. The surface at Gillette stadium not necessarily some other artificial surfaces around league but their home surface seems to suit the style of play that you guys. Tiger we won more -- Jeff Morrison sub Keaton."

" This retreat sincere hello Jackie how are you. I don't -- Good job -- this quality color than say I got a great job this season had a question if you point your update your player. Really commodity game up so."

" Could elect to model my game after whose master plan. Both I think my favorite part question is and it sure is probably is indeed the Don. The are you familiar with the done. Is that if French play just -- housing needs to -- a foul from Santo it that's your status so that -- and and things like games after -- is that this. Question those -- in college and last names Caldwell he's actually -- into the good guys and to play of it I really looked up to him but. Also I don't know internationally that's 'cause like Steven Gerrard that I like and I. How -- much from a to Liverpool players."

" Jeff Horowitz midfielder for the the New England Revolution will play a a playoff game this coming Saturday night 730 it's at Foxboro and it's against the New York red bulls and got. Rebels are are going to beat her in section 113 and I can't wait to watch the game over to bring my son. -- bring my wife. I would eat when to drink and want to watch you guys win -- so it was going to be doing the play by play it will be out AM six cities starting -- is millions seventh or 730 memory of the game starts that's good. You better spent time -- works they gave will be televised on fox soccer John fox -- the channel gentlemen thanks for being here thank you thank you Jeff your career and in the game the senator of either watch is so make sure you went."

" I -- I'd like to and on the score as the -- this. It's easy to admit it to Clark's throat next up yeah big time of or put it into his terms and serve -- I -- see you guys to take a break let him to stick around 11 O'Clock. Take your phone calls on anything you want to tonight's 11 because it is after all freewheeling planted like Ichiro."

" Order now for the reds into the heart of the next. That's we'll Justin -- this second career -- We were talking about it before the game that they -- Loretta -- certificate of up big today. It's great running just gives up his body for the gold now one."

" People accuse Mike Adams -- a lot of things over the years but he always seemed to come up innocent. Well that's the only thing this guy's guilty others feel a whack job BC Sports Radio wait 50 WEP --"
