    The Red Sox began to put together a rally in the 8th inning last night against Oakland but it came to a quick halt when the umpires appeared to call batter's inference. The problem? After the game crew chief Tim Welke said there was no interference. Both Terry Francona and Mike Cameron had some pretty harsh words for the umps for the whole mess.
