Welcome back to Gillette Stadium everybody my name's -- to trial yet. Joined as always by patriots expert on this -- -- -- guys accomplished price growth patriots are not getting ready for the cold and the snow on the ground here in New England. Rather than temperatures in the mid eighties expected on Sunday in Miami they are practicing in the bubble. What are the big preparations the patriots got to get ready for as they get ready for that kind of environment. -- and -- -- -- -- curator for a far different environment in the what they've had over the last couple weeks there's going to be noted that there's going to be no snow there's been no rain is going to be -- it's going to be. Far different it's going to be in the mid eighties down there in South Florida would have to prepare accordingly knew when -- pass. If I'd go to early -- tried to simulate things. I think that's what the reason they're in the bubble visible you know outside but it's a far different environment that they have to prepare for this week that they -- Alaska. The big issue of course person's condition. How do you think this team stands up in the heat and and the humidity. Well I think he'll do pretty well I think when you look at the scoring -- over the course to be here obviously over the last couple weeks they've struggled great having you. But he put together some really good for -- note. Questioned whether that's sustainable down the stretch but I think when you look at it from a conditioning perspective I think it speaks very well for the team and where they are at this point defeat especially -- Well maybe the warm weather's gonna help them get off to a better start it look it's been beaten like that of course the last couple weeks in almost part of again and really. Well right should -- them against Cleveland Browns they escaped when he seven. 26 Billy Cundiff misses that 58 yard field goal -- just a couple of yards short but again. From what you saw on Sunday what do the patriots need to do are they getting closer to better starts or not. I do I I think that they're getting close to benefit I think there's some offensive consistency coming through I -- him -- you bit of a setback in that regard because they've lost Rob Gronkowski. Tom Brady's number one security -- -- -- this point in the season but they have to be able to find the consistency. But I think he's being too big it's thick and fast starts. -- -- something that the need to work on going forward you slow starts are not sustainable. Going into the posting this wonderfully deep in the being toward kids start out like that. You've been able to save themselves with with a good third quarters and -- fourth quarter right but you can't dig yourself a hole against a really good football team especially in the post and. And I asked Bill Belichick the whole situation with Rob Gronkowski essentially. How did the patriots make adjustments vote during the game and during the week and he said essentially look. We lost Rob Gronkowski we've played more this year without him and we have with him and we're back just in a pack up or back to go well it's obviously not gonna happen. Your take on how the patriots really go about replacing Rob Gronkowski is -- Shane -- and Julian element or -- -- other parts. I think from a practical perspective we're looking at a team we're looking at a profit at the feet and felt that the team play you know but the situation to situation right will be an office. So it didn't work -- as he left school personnel that went back to tie it at that if we're gonna see more there's more profits about this war. Situation we're gonna see three and four wide receivers on the field. And racing that the only good thing for me -- probably going to be considered a wide receiver in this situation he -- -- that like he was on Sunday exactly he does have that. -- -- you can move around a bit. But in the -- But about life. Working from a purely practical perspective we're looking at a situation. We're gonna see more of those guys in the field that would put more depth at wide receivers but they'll talk about it today. Guys like Josh points guys like involvement with the young receivers -- started on the it's hard to play more more I think they're gonna start to Hawaii and those guys even more going. Look what Bill Belichick -- today told us. That the key to leaves no class clown but he's very well liked in that locker room it was also interesting this week on NFL network. There's a piece a football like on the 93 Houston Oilers that we're fighting all the time. Bill Belichick kinda made reference to that with -- easily -- you know he not only is respected but he's well like that's not always the case. Talk about Aqib Talib what kind of leadership that he provide not only on the field but off the. I think he has to bill's point one of the most well liked him one of the most respected guys in the locker room I think you've seen this before to Mike Becker put defensive backs their very close. Very very tightest group I would think the running back to the tightest group -- big offensive women that group of defense effectively forfeited one of the reasons they're really close because of -- -- He's been really good job. Whoever would have thought that -- good job assuming more of a leadership role -- -- the -- of those young guys under his -- and working with them. It could really help them the whole thing right -- I think he put a big role in that garbage you spent time in the locker it's clear that -- -- one of those guys you become a go to -- that locker room. Also some good insight -- on the development of Josh -- the rookies speedy wide receiver. That finally saw a lot more snaps this weekend against this past weekend against Cleveland Browns a public interest and ability. Belichick talked about how voice has worked in the practice squad I mean I India for the scout team right. The scout team and earning his stripes if you will. And then finally -- circulating and making its way onto the regular offensives that what do you see in Josh Boyce and any -- can become a bigger and bigger role now especially with our health. It's one thing it's it's important remember it's all about making the most of your offered him. And anything he has done well to this point in the season to take advantage of the opportunity have been prevented him -- that that. Both in the kicking game. It'd be -- and the movie that I love and Sunday. With the move -- you put -- but it's growing up there where he just absolutely deeply that left sprinkle one which -- if current trip been muted in point with the other. -- position of versatility that ability to make those quick cuts there's two reasons one of the best musical performers to -- Has that fifty distributed today briefly. That victory Strickland beaten music I think we'll look forward down the stretch in the postseason -- the but I thought it was going to be -- here. It really kind of work in the development but because they've been a little bit -- at that position now. I think more importantly going forward beneath the public can step up and picked me. With a win on Sunday at Sun Life Stadium patriots wrap up there. That's straight AFC east division title it's not going to be easy you think that happens you think they get the job done. Yes they do all of bullet like -- that I don't think it's going to be you know this team has never done anything. The court noted and they haven't done anything -- in the last month I think we've seen to date that are below -- I think we saw the tip of the game we saw the Pittsburgh and everything else. It's been close and tight and wolf late. I think this team -- gonna be doing that they've been doing that wins this thing but it's not going to be an innocent. All right Chris we will see what happens the patriots not only trying to get that AFC east division. Locked up. They need to hold -- the number two seed right now they are game ahead of the Cincinnati Bengals who are nine in orbit the angles of the tiebreaker of course at a -- Gillette Stadium.
