Chris mortenson joins us a hole and that's on him there's more ports on this line instead Mort I joins us every single Friday for pages front and how worried anymore. Very good yeah sorry I'm gonna accept them being made to talk about soccer and so we're we're happy that. Today you know my my big thing myself within plans to football funny he was who's recruited Noah and the playing college football. I've been extremely strained to. Recruit the soccer players. To -- played football and you know why we we could succeed on about half dozen Tutsis in Rome wasn't spraying. That was darker woman in the fall football. And do what soccer players are pretty good football players. Welcome all of a lot of what football I'm fine with that it's great waited terrorism. I just don't wanna watch them play soccer anyway Mort I was. Say it earlier -- heart is in here today for Michael that this this game on Sunday for the patriots against the browns. It's difficult to find an angle to get up for me -- some things to look at from a patriots perspective. What can they do but it's hard to imagine a browns team in in turmoil specially quarterback what they're gonna do against the patriots. And on how well Jason Campbell places Jason Campbell played well. Then you're gonna have to respect the theme I mean they have some strength along the opposite lines it's it's it's. Not a bad offensive line they have. What is proven to be one of the top three or four receivers and all football on I'm dumb but he'd leave receivers you know we put. -- cordon is an elite receiver. And on defense they have some guys up front this should bother -- -- they have some guys in the secondary. And so close games where a lot depends on Jason Campbell whether they protect them. Whether he's on his game now on so somebody noticed. Somebody said that these that was pretty well the last two days that dominate I don't I don't look at the ground say they're gonna beat the patriots. But I also know that. They're these teams have games. Every other week every three week -- the Hugo didn't see that common. More Josh Gordon you mention him as a receiver -- the talent to stop the charts the numbers he's putting up. Certainly in recent weeks but basically all ten games he's played this year are ridiculous. What is the thought on him. Internally in Cleveland and maybe even around the league he's only been in you know in the league two years now as a supplemental pick had problems at Baylor has already had a suspension is one. You know strike away from a yearlong suspension to people think this is going to be yeah. A redemption story a guy who's maturing or is this seen as a troubled guy with a lot of talent. I think they -- the they have not done it includes I think -- they were lean mean they would say this this guy. He is got trouble. No one of -- which you know -- the he's average maturity level yet I mean when you come in the league in you know in -- said all right things don't come in and I've learned my lessons. Next thing you know you -- you start to get tenure once that was from a year on suspension. Then. -- and then you know it's certainly makes you skeptical and the browser or wherever we're willing to trade him at the talent is -- the Mets mean. You know anything about RG three winning some of the receiving talent here at Baylor. I mean you know Kendall Wright was long on the -- he's really good receiver for the titans and just scored in the year before. So they clearly have some talent out there in this guy's. Big -- can rotting caps. Nobody can he can do some different. You bring up RG you bring a -- you know the problem has eternal values in terms -- trade value and otherwise. The more you bring up RG three how this is -- him Shanahan and in Washington. Well it -- says he's the player I mean it's I know I think it's gonna and then. Kind of rule for assaults it is stand -- here and and Shanahan. So I think this thing probably ends any mutual. Separation or divorce. Again I'm not saying that I know that for a fact that's gonna have admitted that I think it probably ends. More obvious now sword dance prior. Avatar and RD street pay the old saying is. No coaches coach. Players play is doubt doubt owners don't need to play. These guys -- pretty good coaches and they really need to pick the defense. Speaking of the coaches more obviously Gary Kubiak -- lost his job. What other jobs are gonna be open in about a month from now when the teams are done playing and overall. -- Houston was the one. -- we certainly. Anticipated. -- the -- of Washington goes through this little. Thing where almost in the justice that is better team each move on because not scanning and becomes a leading candidate in Houston. You know that is it is -- last year we had eight. And we're not gonna have that many this year I don't anticipate we don't there's still uncertainties like -- -- yet. Those look like Rex Ryan everything is good policy often nations still going to be good. You know these are the Buccaneers to the -- -- don't wanna make a change with a CL a finishes out and and that's the thing about it for the most part. You know I am I mean I think it's stupid ever fired coach before four years Europe. About eagle on sixteen into fourteen entering thirteen. I think it's that no immunity the Ron Rivera they are ready to run him out of town. And you know he had a couple 79 season and -- two and they stabilized thanks so. You know and put Kubiak it was understandable you know he doesn't -- been -- had indeed been slow to home. And it was just it was just time and -- that -- stayed there are -- now order a farm last Monday actually work are now and allow them to. I think with a good conscience go ahead and begin their -- search. In the obvious follow up there is what are you hearing obviously Lovie Smith an intern to being thrown about art -- different college coaches. We -- where do you think they my ago. Well I know he was pretty clear bidding bubbly and has that he wants some limited previous it would NFL head coaching experience. So obviously -- -- name. Immediately comes up that they said of Mike Shanahan gets -- than he's gonna. Certainly has come up in the equation. You know there's -- there's an objective Oreo would be one of those guys. Mean I don't adolescents from him -- we heard pat Haden and every director USC's that they went after called grownup but. Gruden told me only I want to do the NFL. And -- that would want to with a man who helped out so. I've I've not prevent anything from our people. But. So. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- I know that more is reporting Belichick did use I don't agree broad enough. More likely know the top contenders in terms of the suitable for this year right the cut a couple of teams in each in each conference. Is -- dark horse team is thirteen it's going to be a wild card or lower division winner the -- they know what's talking enough about book and actually go all the way when it's available. Are related question. Not because. What we've learned is that you get in the tournament. It you can win I mean the Baltimore Ravens -- your -- not a hot team going into the playoffs. But they'll -- -- -- -- line and Joseph Flacco that is gonna play -- season you can expect so you know the ravens have a protest at government should get -- and that is if they get to this schedule. And get in there. I would say you know watch -- for them. I in the NFC. You know move we can get pretty deep over there I don't think the lions are ready to pull that off I really don't. So -- -- I tried to -- like it's. Where would we ever got Seattle San Francisco New Orleans and there in Carolina -- Carolina may be I would not rule -- Carolina. Our -- Mort always good to talk eulogy enjoy the rest your weekend and not talk to next Friday. Aaron thank you Mort there's Chris -- and our conversation with him always brought to you by Blue Cross and Blue Shield about a tractor and find -- money. Dot com. I don't mean to criticize the yes yes the guys who add on to check to -- and we have the first guy who said a fumble is the same as the cutbacks in the second -- Belichick to Houston it's a Friday -- coaching experience -- -- what's going on -- that he has a job. I want to adding experience each week right now. You simply. Did. It was an odd choice I was surprised that -- through Belichick right there's all these you know cowering group these big name coaches who you know are unemployed and are actually event. Don't think any of those guys come back to you that powers ever coming back at this point. I don't think -- I think -- sooner or later groups can have the -- he's a whack job football guy he's gonna have that ego that -- the whole thing that we say that about power couple years ago. You know that no I don't think that same passion the same love of the game personal. The thing about Bolton is an integral highly overrated if Super Bowl rings but I think they're highly highly overrated. And at some point somebody's gonna offer them money that they don't deserve. And -- unit news aren't a -- coming up still today -- it's the question about a half hour of course we need your questions text them 379837. Yes -- takes more of your calls if you're defending soccer or -- soccer whatever else or just me which is fine. -- will also I want to get into what happened the Bruins last night because it was. A strange play with Johnny boy -- administering second period as well indie artists yourself Kamal WB.
