When I -- driver right. -- I Dave O'Brien on the call and that was. A producer -- Giles favorite moment. And many of York based on the Texas seeing favorite moments most memorable moments most iconic moments. From this Red Sox post season run at such a perfect call him and I kind of a play by play guy at heart. And I think the best thing a play by play guy can do one of the best things play by play guy can do. Is capture. Not only that the description of what's happening but the essence the feeling of what's happening. And what did you think when that ball goes into the bullpen and Torii Hunter fall house. You know you felt like the police officer in the bullpen -- jumping up and down pure bedlam and ammonium it is just a crazy feeling. Because of David Ortiz and that was. Captured it -- gear up perfectly by gave O'Brien somebody's tax idea AT&T -- I'm -- favorite moments from this season 37937. Texas is one big moment navy believes the series in the Bronx Sox gave up big lead to the yanks and -- Revere in the ninth. Following -- -- doubt for Napoli the Grand Slam tie Sox to three out of four into the yankees' season -- Is if you need another feather in your cap from Red Sox fan's perspective. One of the things the Red Sox did down the stretch as the Yankees are trying desperately wade your way back into contention. Yanks are kind of like. Four games out of the second wild card than it would if you Rhode Tampa Baltimore slip another -- -- other attack every time they got close. Every time the Yankees knocked on the door just a little bit. It seemed like he ran into the Red Sox and inside of that series at Fenway Park -- won the -- text to references and the Sox take three out of four -- sweep and not to my contention send him right back. A few other tax once says -- under selling since you seem to be way under selling. Drew. Save the -- sees that his defense -- a lot we remain to the bullpen injury won this series along with Ortiz Koji Lester. I think you're over selling a little bit city won because of jury happily apart of and it's not come under selling Stephen Drew. We're just got to looking forward a little bit saying what would you be comfortable with on the left side of the infield and -- stated Stephen Drew walks guided to freeagent. He gets added three year -- for somebody four year deal where every looking for if he gets a multiyear opera the Red Sox don't wanna match. I'm comfortable the Red Sox -- with a Bogart's middle Brooks left side opening day next and I think. That's what the Red Sox brought office it in their mind's eyes they projected forty to back the beginning of the year. Probably what they were hoping for what they thought at the time maybe they thought Jose Iglesias would play into that as well prior to the mid season trade. I think they were comfortable with that I still would be. It's not necessarily under selling true. It's just asking the question is it worth matching a multi year deal is Stephen Drew Scott Boras guys you know he's going to be out there testing market testing offers. Is it worth matching a multi year deal for -- I'm not sure it is. Give in. What you've already got coming back on the left side of the infield guys that are under your control. -- here -- Sports Radio WEEI. Football wise for you 6177797937. Talking about having your favorite moments from the post season. Are also looking at 2014 why not right. I mean we're we're still shaken off our hangovers from Wednesday night and Scott Boras says he's got eleven phone calls -- twelve ball cult whatever it is about Jacoby Ellsbury. So the Red Sox are ordeal -- for the pick up the option -- Jon Lester declined the option and that the Wharton Scott Boras is certainly looking forward. The world probably be a nice payday for Ellsbury and for itself so -- -- -- as well towards any 14617. 779793. Settled go to Tim in Burlington up next hey -- -- You -- to him the lead but you're on the air. Pay I had Kampman a human camera and so our look at stories haven't. -- allow. I was -- on the road you know you're saying -- -- thirty years down the road. I am honestly -- it start rookie Andrew but you know and yeah you're right you know there wasn't what I don't he -- over so -- -- some -- -- kind of you know. The defense held its -- you know any of the players -- -- the home run now I mean I was -- around my buddies and every time that I get up to that -- it's the same thing you know you're grown up in. -- am totally you know in the -- -- in my head popped out out out kids you know you know that but I. I don't think I -- modern dance step in. Better than an actor and I got that home run -- to see it just learning that did that Twitter account out there about Stephen Drew is has he got it yet yeah. Now now. Yeah that present that. That Twitter cal is pretty great it was just every like you said every time we got up we just be some version of now know that not yet. No no imminent danger of getting hit yet that was great -- on Twitter. There at nine and I -- those period and then they got that one you know that just let that rock band no -- on the person -- front row because you have such tactics. But I now I just I couldn't let it happen out of 11 -- collecting out. About the officer out during his hands up in the -- you -- -- possibly announcer -- and you know so like that see I like that and I know it's unlikely but -- deadly critical particular that director -- C a huge just like. Bring the spirits achieved in my. Thank you -- Thank you to admit -- it was just so lap or pol I -- right it was just it was perfect -- there's no other way to describe. Biggest home run I mean everything from the peer into the topography for individuals. You had the arms extended the -- -- in the legs up in the -- ports or hunter. -- always let's go over to the bullpen joked that -- was very worried about his well being picture he's okay. But Torre goes wide into the bullpen. That -- a police -- especially comes back to it -- part of story. In a year where. Lately Tim's father that keep -- -- every single day have been at the forefront. More then they typically would be in as much as they probably should be. To see a police officer celebrating like that was perfect it was great I'll say this from the parade -- I was nice to see. As the -- huge cheers obviously when David Ortiz duck boat comes through and oh -- and John Lackey Ryan Dempster who I mean of all the players in terms of popularity like right after Ortiz might be against. It is based upon the way people react to him and there was one point where the duck boats stopped right in front of where I happen to be they just stop for a couple of minutes and everybody's going to Dempster it because the Iraq bean ball and the guy yells that Dempster I. -- -- -- And -- their -- -- adamant caddie gives the you know smile on his -- -- kind of half not like -- and he has you know I'll I'll plead the fifth on the island Dempster interacting with the crowd. In -- huge cheers for all these guys but one of the biggest cheers where the police officers coming to run bicycles. And you could see the the appreciation for the police officers who were out there day in sports and basically all hands on deck get two million people in the city. I try to make sure everything stays orderly and it seemed like for the most part everything did sell. That element of it is well to me it just makes it perfect and there's no other way I can describe that play. What it meant to -- game what it meant for the team Nazis and in just that little insular part of it is well with the with the the bullpen -- to jump up and down. It is he couldn't help but. Making jump up and down make you celebrate back to the phones builds up in New Hampshire -- bill. -- and science first time caller. Quick thing. My -- probably try to pick a favorite moment it would be David Ortiz. In the dugout -- and the congress of the team when they needed it the most so mighty actual. Not questioned the statement would be would talk about signing folks the next year. We don't wanna look at this but it it's the truth and a couple years now we've got to think about replacing David Ortiz. So we've got -- -- looking about what PH is going to be out there were kind of salary alert we're talking about we've given that Dustin Pedroia contract looking at. Other context cynic here but it -- two years in front of -- so any -- on. On replacing David Ortiz probably is now again which we don't want to the other side of the question to would beat. It -- we gave him. Arraignment. -- -- does the team vote in Iglesias giving him in for a that such when he thirteen team. I mean what I I would give Iglesias -- I would. I think Kyrie is part of the team enough today at the beginning of the season I think. It's always funny to always wondered how -- felt about accepting that rank. When you're not and it's kind of cool that championship ring but at the same time you weren't there to really celebrate in play in the biggest games. But it is just a token to Iglesias has been a good amount of time in the minor leagues this organization I would -- -- -- one. Editor of the different thing is it. We faced Iglesias in the playoffs which is not back to a Nomar -- and it'll be an interesting thing. But what do you feel about. A BH a couple three years from now David finally hangs up the -- Here's the thing bill in a lot of ways and maybe this'll change going forward I'm not sure. But in a lot of ways David Ortiz has won the last of that of a generation. Of guys that are just pure DH -- guys just don't. Plea -- really at all so. I wouldn't be surprised if two years for an -- whatever David Ortiz no longer member of the Red Sox. There's. A similar dynamic to what we see a lot of other teams where. The DH becomes kind of a flex spot it's lady -- for guys that -- you mix in an air two or three guys maybe quarter outfield -- are popular spot to mix and and one of them takes turns being DH against right Peter DH against lefties I'm not shortage shall see. Eight full time DH so to speak. Come in to replace David Ortiz. Like we're talking about you know maybe a full time catcher for example coming into replaced Jarrod Saltalamacchia few leaves -- free agency that's our question answered that makes cents. Yep I think we're seeing now with a few other teams right now to -- We're not -- a full time DH but just got a hold onto a little of that money appreciate the F column a first time caller was able to see game six so loud areas and games six against the tigers have been going to games since. Of since 86 with currencies and share the ticket from apparent panic at the Hampshire and I was lucky enough to see both games and not put those two the F please. Forced down -- we're. Keeping things under control after the game enjoyed -- thank you very much. All right thank you bill appreciated while you lucky -- on both game six that's not. About it you can get it 6177797937. Gets more your taxes while on the AT&T tax line. And you feel like you -- me up on Twitter some -- back there Chris Maloney 44 is the way to do that Steve. WE yak.
