Big east is Red Sox review on the WTI. Sports Radio network. Playing a fly ball well hit -- -- -- the reality -- look at stats -- Jordan on the left field wall that's gonna bring into. Heading to the second night of the thrown out in time and two runs score. The Red Sox lead at three and -- thing. It's a recap of the Red Sox and blue jays. Playing a high fly ball -- and people love racing back Davis at the warmth turning around -- -- -- the monster. The run as an historic film study the second the pro golf life he overslept and putting -- back in time he saved with a double in the Red Sox lead it. 42. Zacks review it's when -- -- before that. It's. Okay. OK okay and. Even if I'm John King bed there you know they're -- face. Now Red Sox review on the WTI. Sports Radio network. Yes indeed it's time for Red Sox review my name is Butch Stearns and welcome into the show. How we are doing out there everybody on the final -- the final weekend of June. And near Boston Red Sox with the best record in baseball. -- We are on the final day of June. In Europe Boston sox' Bobby Valentine far in the rearview mirror. Terry Francona. Far in the rear view mirror shall. Not walking through that door and might be hug and who knows. What you're Boston Red Sox -- John Farrell is the manager. Which surprises like. Late sees. She arena when healthy living up to the money. To -- playing like he's got the Mountain View. -- -- Mike Napoli and others have the best record. In baseball. How everybody on board -- here -- 8 o'clock we view taking your phone calls at 61777979837. At 61777979837. Your head up north go one out west kidneys to the cape going down south to go up to hear from coming back from those destinations. Even more solid left to hear from you because you probably listen to the end of the Red Sox game on WEEI. Or you watch and you get in your car so I'd love to hear. What you would like to talk about about your Boston Red Sox now. There are a couple of reasons some -- on the Red Sox 'cause the text line is already filling up with text about the Red Sox that's the AT&T text line. At 37. 937. That's 379827. If you would like to -- stand. The other reason is that they enjoy -- screening your calls and as I always like to say. It is a painful process so be ready. But the main reason why I am focusing on the Red Sox -- main reason is. Important things one priority hit. The best record in baseball on June 3. It is a bunch of different ways they're getting it done. For example. In April they were eighteen and eight mainly. Because of Leicester and buckles. In May when Lester and buckled started to disappear for different reasons they've played 500 baseball put David Ortiz came back and emerged. As the David Ortiz of all the heels were helping the bat was wonderful. And it was movement they've finished 500 ended the month of may attend games over 500 they just finished genome. At seventeen and eleven year Boston Red Sox. Six games over 500 and now -- and games over 500 as we head into the fourth month of the baseball season. Sixteen games over 500 so they deserve. Our attention here's the other reason why besides affect the name of the show was Red Sox review that we need to focus on the Red Sox okay. Here's the reason why because in my opinion. They have yet to be as we head into July on Sports Radio. Topic number one or even possibly upper number 18. For three straight months. Whenever we've been able to say that on the Boston sports. And it's for all different kinds of reasons. Everything from the marathon bombing to Aaron Hernandez. -- -- arrested today so it's loaded up. All kinds of reasons. You could argue that the Red Sox have not been topic number one or 18. Since JBJ. Since opening day when Jackie Bradley junior was talked about for about five -- Debate that with so they deserve our attention now concerning all -- are -- things -- yeah. They're on the table and we -- clock and we'll get into those a little bit later on yes the patriots and Aaron Hernandez. Yes the Bruins -- have a draft -- -- -- don't draft today I did not -- about an hour ago I did not know also the Bruins did not have a number one pick. That they're not picking till the second round today is the NHL draft are you excited can you feel. Followed up by the NBA draft and of course the Celtics they'd done bloated up. For those of you wanna blow up OK get on the phones I wanna hear from you. Could you wanted to blow up I didn't. I wanted another year KG and pierce. I wanted another year to see you could happen and then maybe transition but not too bloated up and my biggest fear. Aged even though he had done bloated up gate bloated up enough cause if you gonna blow it up. Right now with a team of Rajon Rondo Jeff Green. And others Gerald Wallace and others. 3020. Or 35 win team and they gonna get it done. You got to blow it up and get a lottery. Or take your chances you got blown up so it's kinda half baked right now. Back to the Red Sox I have two main questions. For you. Today. Before we get into specifically today's game the two main questions off our biggest surprise. Or -- refine that question. Who do you think has been the biggest surprise on the Boston Red Sox this year. War and war -- you most pleased with in other words. -- Lacey is a huge surprise Shane Victorino while he's been healthy living up to the money delivering like he did today. Big game winning hit so to speak. I checked before a game tying home run that would put the Red Sox down. In the top of the ninth coach you -- didn't have a and other things Shane -- plays hard. Makes you think that if Ellsbury -- walks like we all think he will that we might not miss them again if victory that could stay healthy. Ortiz -- the way he is Daniel Nava as an everyday player Mike -- how about John Farrell. Is he on your list so there's my one question biggest surprise what pleases you most of most about the Boston writes my second question. Is there buyers they get the best record in baseball. What do you look at that let's start talking about the trading deadline now. He Koji who are and the Specter of Andrew Bailey whatever he is without JoAnne -- are you thinking about a close I'm certainly thinking about an arm. I'm certainly thinking about -- get a veteran arm. Or I'd love Tyler clipper from Washington but I don't think the nationals -- given a -- but somebody like that. Are you going after an arm what are you going after the trading deadline that's my second question. And what would you do it's an interesting. Time for the Red Sox have what they can do the prospects to trade. You hold on to a mall. You've got guys on your roster you can trade -- very. Does not have the value they used. Mainly because Major League Baseball has changed the rules so what team remember this folks I know you know this you're Smart where Smart. But let's remind ourselves of this. Baseball is change the rules so a guy like Jacoby holes are -- team would in years past go out trade for a little. I've got Ellsbury for a stretch run and he's a rent a player and by the way. If he walks -- get a draft pick -- -- free agent and doesn't happen any more value for -- -- very significantly less because of that. Teams will not get a draft -- you are truly renting a player for two months then I eat it did. -- go add in the fact that Scott Boras is his agent and your trade for a guy who's not gonna sign with few at the end of the year. So there's a lot -- -- the Red Sox they deserve our attention what we need right now and what do you enjoy Al deserves as a break. Because we just finished Red Sox post game and this is Red Sox review and here we go I'm what Stearns we're back with your calls after this.
