Awesome Callahan Doc Rivers will join us at 905 as we look ahead to the playoffs like at 3 o'clock -- On Saturday against the New York -- -- barker joining us on the AT&T -- -- -- -- from the Boston Herald was all over this Boston story. Wedge joins us good morning David how are yeah. Or -- in your estimation was yesterday a black 54 journalism based on all the reports that they have the guy the rest of the guy he was at the courthouse he wasn't at the courthouse what is your take on your overall view of what happened yesterday -- I still frustrating for everyone you know especially. Ridiculous you know in -- Well you know -- frustrating -- and media as a reporter you know we're we're trying to follow what's going on and eight get the latest development and and I you know what being run around in circles a false report so is -- very frustrating. By. You know certainly it's not good at what the victims. You -- in my estimation John King is not one of those irresponsible guys who wants to get at first as opposed to getting it right although that might have taken out taken form yesterday. Do you get the sense that probably what he has were much of what he has is accurate but some snags some sort of thing with -- law enforcement is preventing them from actually making the announcement. Sort that I definitely. A -- into responsible guiding you from Boston you know write a local guy sorry you didn't wanna screw this up and I think that the sources are probably. Have the information let you know when these when these national. These heroes get information a lot of what's coming out of Washington that's not coming out of Boston so. You know -- and start leaking out like that. From Washington at a high level sources that idiotic. Maybe the -- you know votes on the ground so to speak. It frustrates them in the immediate decided on -- information in our. I I don't think that it was -- -- reported it was it was completely -- -- I -- Executing congratulations. In time for the first you know offer to become. I just you know sort of a press conference and really tell us what exactly happened I think it's Italy I. Obviously -- that's probably a forceful of those mean obviously there. That's as honest samples that they they wanna talk though. Not that far. Is there any chance -- that that guide the suspect is in custody right now. I think -- a possibility that you know my sources tell me you don't have anyone oracle in custody but that's a term. It's changed so you know you look at Guantanamo legal people. So that certainly these folks. That are being held somewhere in -- lost somewhere. They're being you know there under the hot like sort of speech. You know we can debatable whether or not that's considered intensity certainly a personal call themselves in custody. How how difficult is it for you -- sources in the -- what happens when you call your sources in the Boston Police Department. Or at City Hall Dave what do they do what they just -- it. Not return your calls that idea that I can't say a word please leave me alone how does that work. Right now -- you know. Cents per cent fall in and that's what happened there legally sell this before it was dealt with a 9/11 you know we don't that we need to count you know where I'm. In older people here and watch over the synagogue backyard and we know a lot of people that are. Directly -- -- would witness investigations and you know they they can't talk and you know if they constantly you know they risk. Full weight of the federal government Italy -- yes they aren't little box City Council needs some comments. That we had to be pulled back because you know what -- -- -- people what he was talking about it. And sort of you know definitely -- police ops aren't free your situation. I believe that the maybe this wasn't -- such an issue of national security. David based on what John King said he believed to be true based on his sources and then there is no press conference at five and they say there's going to be one at eight. The white and it is canceled as well what can we infer by the fact that. The feds the locals the officials did not wanna do a press conference between 5 and 8 o'clock last night. Well you know. We have to be careful -- jumping to conclusions here acknowledges. A lot of people who try to. You'll look at the photos -- let's think about what happened and decide you know what type of terrorist at this I'm Alina can't afford that lets -- in play I'll let. You know it's my experience tells me that it's what happened is. They were getting close and whatever that whatever they are trying to accomplish. There were able to wrap up. So they're really -- -- -- That that's why are they -- -- -- into English this culpable. You know it can't Politico live while you're at a federal court also part of that that they. Well that didn't evident that tell -- that has to stop them before have you seen any of Deval Patrick sir. Elizabeth Warren's press conferences so far they've. Are there and art that's true but you know I I think Vietnam you know it. I think defense out. You know they have things do get close to sort -- is is the skill and getting about that that they closer wrap up -- they were able to do it. -- -- like it is essential not a lot of that choke on their and you don't show the senate will want to shut this thing dummies. The statement came out of the US attorney's office. It didn't come from ideal Deval Patrick slack or -- or so it came from -- sterling who is this source US attorney. Which is the fact that spokesperson for the federal government. Tell me at the speculation is off base my sense would be to ever going to have a press conference at five. With just your normal briefing of you know where we are what we've done and you know whatever the case may be -- -- grand announcement to be made. John King goes on CNN and to sort blows the of the lid off this thing excuse the pun. And and and talks about all the things that he said the have a guy in custody they -- them lord Taylor footage. And that would put them in a position -- to deny what king was saying and either lie or just have to deal with what that information was. Preferring not to do that they discount the press conference which sort of goes to what you were saying David that maybe they're close may be everything he said was critical to be in true just not totally wrapped up. Yeah I would agree with that you know we receive a lot of essentially nation. Since this thing began you know let's not get the whole. Situation at the JFK library you know. We still have a really good answer but what happened though -- -- and you know maybe the biggest coincidence that ever happened or could be -- we don't know saying -- what. Maybe -- -- those on. So ago I would agree -- -- you know that they had some information that -- -- wanted to talk to us about. I think John King CNN. -- that some you know information that we use pretty close to the truth that. Well what able to these are. Give us a guess Dave what happens today what does this play out today. I know I really wish I had -- that all I always let you know. Not -- cliche but there's a ridiculous a lot of police activity going on right now -- There's. Unmarked vehicles. Federal local state losing around the city constantly. Any worse -- around the city right now she's the Paris. On the fly around the that this sirens aren't. These guys are going to shootings that not go to Damascus there working on a federal investigation and and I. I think it's you know out of Quantico Virginia actually -- this is. All the don't you know that they're not doing anything else right now -- of this so. I hope we get answers. -- -- -- you know let some additional for the government but we do need to I have some patience here and we want to get this right -- -- weeks. -- it can happen as we have another Richard Jewell situation. We have someone that you know to explain to this had nothing to do that international prosecution and and just increase the trauma we we can't. David what's on your to do list today how do you proceed I know it's frustrating trying to begin getting getting. It'll still farmed by by your sources who can't or won't. Tell you stuff right now what's on your to do list today. All continue to work you know people that I know that could have information here in an outside the city on Washington. And not other other. You know -- on -- and and and talk to play my local folks and and he would be airing you know no one's given out any information because there weren't scared but. You know will pick up will pick up signals of what's going on. And little looking to talk about you know there's also still stories -- told me you know he saw The Herald today and technical more than. It was amazing tales of heroism. It's still -- -- -- that we will be looking to talk to people. It -- eyewitnesses to what happens and you a lot of stuff can yield are clues and and more clarity as to what happened. A final question here David I'm asking you to be speculative here I will admit is there any value any added value to anybody the administration the president that the feds. If the guy and the information it finally is disseminated that they got the -- with the president in town on board here in Boston. You know I I don't I don't think I don't think that there -- control the flows. Of information. And that that closely but. Then again you know the federal government. Those you know those why they make good decisions and make but I I will say that. I think it does something to those reports and I don't think you're completely fabricated I think that you know I don't I don't think there was some back bench guy. You know audio sitting in some far -- opposite the Pentagon has no idea what's going on. I don't think that's that the chances those reports such as those reports had a ring of truth to them and you know obviously again you know it's it's that are out there. -- people they want suggesting it but the talk price it. This people that we noted this too we have the right there's is stepped in it the wasn't it last night. And I think that's the stuff that hopefully will be taken today.
