It seems within touched on a few points. You know ten minutes ago basically late in close games in the fourth quarter Tom Brady is the 31. Worst rated quarterback in NFL. And it didn't make much sense to him than it does think about the -- losses in its seems to be the the you know four point five points and a -- -- Anything close they really. -- they've been very much lately in the last few seasons you know hook into the giants and jets the playoffs and even in the regular season that I really tested too often. Outside of the division that was six and four in the -- probably the second weakest division in the -- leadership. And I might try to be -- hypocritical of them as operating by the greatest quarterback of all time but I just thought that was interest in -- you guys we thought that I. Yeah we spent some time on this during the season great thanks for your call we spent some time on how clutches this team and close games I think we came up with the idea. That they were under 500 in games decided by. You know a touchdown or less one possession games this team was under 500 now. There it wasn't just on Brady it was on the defense that at some point gave up a big drive and the game is on special teams you know it if he kicks the field goal Gostkowski -- available -- series on UN neck games it'll lose it was not all Brady but. There has been in one possession games. -- -- -- trend for the patriots. That they've been under 500 at the last 45 years and go back and look at our notes from. That timeframe it's fair they haven't been. All that clutched -- a couple of games late this year. -- given some credit for being clutch they came back at separate Cisco eventually lost that game huge kick off return that set up the eventual game winning score. I had a great game winning drive late in the year to sol -- game but more often than not that disappointments and close games that's a fair criticism. That the caller had about the patriot. Listen yes they have that exists we had that -- onions no question about it to get done much better job but then the second half. I think they've played the other team except for just go to came all the way back to the fall short. They've won a couple of the close games that they've -- Jackson go under touchdown touchdown game Miami touchdown game. You know ball -- touchdown game so that's always going to be there. You know -- and I just think that they've shown the second half. That they're better equipped and all this talk about it early and you were there but the running in the running game the running game it paid dividends come playoff time well here we are. You know this is when you start in some answers. So what about the secondary. You know Denver gonna get some answers -- the patriots of last year that it plays second half. Team it's that just aren't that good a defensive numbers showed. No -- their top five defense ball let's see what happens and get tested by Joseph Flacco maybe not maybe next week's true test. The this is yeah this is where you get all your answers -- well we'll see we'll see how this team. God I think that the best team in football I think -- they play their if they played the way this team is capable of more portly people stay healthy helping his team can beat him. I'll -- and Randolph talking about ball security which is always important on and off the -- what's up Mike. -- -- would Obama got like make them pay a little guys you know I can argue that but it certainly soak up in a moment the World -- for the person in the world. In the early this game but. I mean I'm extremely poor -- ball shouldn't look at the back and accurate and you -- -- -- there and they had fiber that ball will not all the -- mobile five or six -- -- that does worry me because. I just feel like you're out of focus issue you don't. We could -- and I'm feeling that street who would you I'm late I know if you will out of reach but still that if -- -- up behind punt the ball on you got you where people around you. I mean you wouldn't you know. Greatly on the goal line first scoring drive in Houston getting stripped and that stirs. And he goes down I would also argue Ron that sometimes that to a -- if you beat the ball. You know out there and it will be -- strip. Where he brought all the meat locker a couple of quality care. Her -- -- up all in Iraq earlier it dropped off fault. I -- do it you know. That looked at that we're gonna take that into wouldn't -- -- but I'm also that they're not gonna loose are often does predict. But it kicks open like that -- it kept a year ago. Where -- that they've got won't agree on that screen to get -- in the game. Although I don't that he did what they like to worry about ball security. Don't worry Mike it's football man enjoy this week now what -- -- to this game worried me say it again a drop the scenario for them -- and game would be those type of things fumbles early. Texans get a lead you were -- play action. -- most part Welker can catch the football at some drops -- the pretty good since then Hernandez I do worry about you'll Lloyd. A couple of drops a release bubbles but that's. It's not -- to go to a game expecting if they're gonna lose it it will be something like that where they have a couple of huge drops a couple of huge fumbles strip -- the other way. They're gonna need that the Texans are my opinion to get that extra scored the next recession. And get the win this Sunday to -- data into a look at that way I used that book style ski field goals federal relief fumbling has come up. The drop passes I mean that's just everything going wrong. You're absolutely right that if that's what happened and it was the football game. But I think they're good enough am overcome a mistake or two. You know us are still that they're good enough to do the Texans are meant that the player perfect game to get this thing on Sunday. I'm Mike Peter -- other -- 617779798. Cleveland Indians hottest team in baseball, yet remain last in attendance May 19, 2013 By AJ Kaufman 6 Comments There’s a scene in Major League where Bob Uecker, portraying the radio voice of the Indians, bemoans, “In case you haven’t noticed, and judging by the attendance you haven’t, the Indians have managed to win a few here and there, and are threatening to climb out of the cellar.” Well, that was nearly 25 years ago and fictional, but today’s reality is that Cleveland has won 17 of its last 21, and currently tops the AL Central with a mark of 25-17. No one in the majors is better than the Indians in the past month (20-7). That’s great news. The bad news, however, is the Tribe somehow remain in the MLB cellar when it comes to attendance. How can this be? The fact that I wrote on this same topic almost to the day last year – when only Tampa Bay drew fewer fans than Cleveland - may be even more troubling. Though roughly 34,000 watched a walk-off win Friday night against Seattle, perfect weather and free caps weren’t enough to draw more than 36,000 Saturday and Sunday combined. What did the Indians do in those tilts? They nabbed another walk-off win on Saturday, then the Indians crushed the great Felix Hernandez Sunday behind Justin Masterson, arguably the AL’s best pitcher right now. Fun fact: The Indians have already faced eight Cy Young Award winners in 2013: Bartolo Colon, R.A. Dickey, Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee, Jake Peavy, David Price, Justin Verlander and Hernandez. They have won seven out those eight matchups. Simply astounding. This offseason, the much-maligned Indians front office finally made a legitimate attempt to improve the team through free agency. I’m not talking an Ubaldo Jimenez-like trade, but rather smart acquisitions that brought veterans Mike Aviles, Michael Bourn, Jason Giambi, Scott Kazmir, Brett Myers, Mark Reynolds, Drew Stubbs and Nick Swisher to Cleveland. In addition to being a fantastic place to watch a game due to great egress and ingress, with extremely affordable tickets, the best promo lineup anywhere, Jacobs Field boasts overall, cooler, less muggy summer weather than most Midwestern locales. The team also lowered beer and hot dog prices to $4 and $3 respectively. What other professional stadium in any sport offers that? I have visited 28 of the 30 current Major League Baseball stadia, and few top The Jake when all angles are considered. I say that as a baseball fan, not an Indians fan. As for the putative “economic” angle, these are the same people who spend insane amounts of money to watch terrible football every fall and show up in decent numbers for putrid basketball in the winter. Irrespective of season length, those sports charge up to 10 times the price for a ticket, and the atmosphere isn’t half as fan-friendly as baseball. I understand fans’ lack of willingness to get on board to some degree. A decent recap of Cleveland’s decade of “rebuilding” can be read here and the team suffered a horrific collapse last August. However, in addition to all the benefits of attending games at Jacobs (now Progressive) Field, fans should also realize the team has potential and often exceeds preseason aspirations at any point without warning. Cleveland hosts the rival Detroit Tigers — heavy favorites to repeat as AL Central champs — Tuesday and Wednesday nights before hitting the road. The temperature should be pleasant at first pitch each evening so you’d expect The Jake to be full to watch the best hitter on the planet right now — but don’t count on it.
