The topic of teams hiring new NFL coaches comes up and when LJ brings up the job that Bill O'Brien did at Penn St this season, Craig vents about how O'Brien was looking for a way out. He wanted to get back to the NFL but was lured back by a booster and more moolah. It wasn't really about the kids, the community, etc. LJ still thinks Billy O is a hot commodity, but Craig can't get passed his embellishment.

No we're calling our fans this week to. To be the twelfth man to be rollout from the get go it's going to be as cold night game. But the reason is when you division and wanna do this to get home playoff games and advanced. Real -- on Saturday. -- -- -- Give us an advantage. That's Aaron Rodgers I want her back couple from the state farm commercial will be at the game routing form a discount double check -- the finally recognize them. -- goes Green Day people just don't know is for some reason Arctic city writ challenging our listeners out there -- -- intelligence port. -- Holes all played six -- 77797937. And I think that's not right -- you'd probably it's funny because we never talked before the show but we both -- don't talk after the show there but I try to get ideas for apple while working today -- -- each other but I think this is the one week and we you really assured and could it be able to talk about sports -- -- football. In give the patriots their bye week I'm satisfied with. What -- doing I'm glad they're resting I think tell leave. It's amazing -- ballot check I don't know how the guy does it but to leave came out the other day and he said he embraces everything that Belichick telling of the dope. If -- checks out amount last week he says that was the right decision debate he's totally buying into Belichick's program. He has solidified this secondary to agree where McCord he can. Go back to his natural position at safety but RW RD erecting the that Billy O'Brien. Story out of Penn State is a fascinating story what is so easy to say. Well out do the right thing in state -- for the kids and everything yet but every year you know your program's gonna get weaker and weaker so what do you. What do you do he's a hot commodity a lot of teams are pursuing them. Well actually he was interviewed by a couple of teams and he came away -- those interviews. Empty handed essentially they did not offer him the job. -- he went to Penn State. Obviously having to. Inherited terrible burden. Had a very successful season they won eight games. Impressed a lot of people as we were all impressed right in front -- -- -- -- Treo pro kicker right that mr. -- that happens college football because you can't know I'm just saying -- -- happens all bad happens -- Boise State lost the chance to go to a championship game because -- Google kept -- saying under the conditions -- he coached under event that he -- Gerri -- more impressive but unfortunately. And again -- these guys are all. Adults they can do whatever they want I'm not. Here to criticize or control their careers. The only thing I was upset about slightly was when he did not get offered jobs -- the was what buffalo. Am some some other place he interviewed. A bomb when he came away would not thing. He returned to Penn State. Then suddenly a booster. At one point three million dollars to give him a raise so he's now making three point six million dollars coming back is the head coach of Penn State. And he claimed he did it because he owed it to the students and players. Of Penn State you think if you are offered an NFL job he would have been thinking about the students and players of Penn State. I think I think it would have been a tough decision right but I do I think he's the type guy that you when you define the fact that. He got on a ship that had a whole senate to beat him. Tells you what you need to know about it -- why do you think he did that. I don't know I mean I I think you know I was a character that that we're going judgment the end of the year for -- -- coaching job I think of reinstatement a patriot for about a year. You don't think you would have been one of the leading coaching candidates this year. I think what he wanted to do was polish as head coaching skills and I think it was pretty obvious. By he is looking for interviews for at least a couple of the NFL jobs. That's exactly what and state was going to serve for him it was a way to be head coach. In the national but it it was also a possibility because of the all the pressure on the east side stories going on. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- He has no problem with the O'Brien doing anything he wants but there was nothing honorable. Body is returning to Penn State. Because that are raised on came through with a one point three million dollar ball. Just come -- let me let me ask -- and Peter -- a question about a -- -- acknowledged it -- it has nothing -- got a one point three million dollar -- -- than you think -- -- -- more money if he had been out on the coaching circuit in the NFL. He didn't come back for the money -- got a five year deal with Kansas City after the does -- Perry is what you think we're organist -- Altria you're missing the story -- -- was now project. That's that's kind of how it I'm saying deal repeated statement the patriots one more year. You don't think you would have been one of the leading candidates -- vehicles. As a coach in the NFL and failed. And yet he had to. Shut off the dogs because they were they were trying to woo him about 78 coaching opening -- you don't think Billy O'Brien but I had an opportunity that's not the issue. My issue is. Don't come back and say you did it for the players in the program when you're out there looking for a job you team that usually -- he would be an idiot not to at least be out here. Entertaining offers you could be an idiot not to do my -- and that's why -- no problem with that. The -- Laver communities laugh over the word I would use off the year. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- That's true at least he did not ask the -- got I can -- -- promise from his area at that you but you are quickly Eli Manning Jersey his wife with -- Eli Manning Jersey on his right biceps that we forget shortly throw out questions marquee the year the is open for debate comeback player it's Peyton or Adrian Peterson. And the NDP eat it now -- that's when you expanded to. Yeah MPs saying yeah about Peyton yeah locked yeah Brady MIG three -- -- and that's -- I'm saying this is the weekend to really get into football and you don't have to -- emotionally. The attached to worried about the patriots went with -- fortunate we get accused quite often Boston market the appeal and provincial all -- -- all we care about is our -- -- really and we will next week are -- but this week I mean is devoted to just the law of the game my -- always asked me. What's your favorite sport is that my favorite sport as a spectator. As someone who sits in front of the TV on Sundays every single week during the -- policies it's at all but that's what separates football from all the opposite way it's. I can't picture -- setting up there a particular date. Watching like the like the Chicago Cubs playing. Saint Louis is stumping with football. If you are a football -- and obviously the patriots -- your first priority but even outside of that. You could almost watch except Jack but you could almost watch any game in getting to remember that ever that we set I think we all said that that theory that you could watch almost every game was tested mightily it was a Monday Night Football -- where Jackson was -- somebody. It was the single. Match up in the history of money and I pulled out of the football -- there was a traffic ever after the for a while I was turning the lifetime in the in the first five minutes of the game that's so bad at -- or anything. From -- -- yeah that's you need a lot of Kleenex to get through one of those shows that idea.
