Jon "Meter" Meterparel announces that he is leaving The Dennis and Callahan Show and WEEI to pursue play-by-play opportunities, a lifelong dream of his.

What's it like a long ninety seconds in anticipation what we said is going to happen right about now. -- is without question a bittersweet moment we are being sarcastic we -- the world that we being capable are not at all on. My childhood dream of becoming a Sports Radio personality. Came true when WEEI hired me twelve years ago. There's no way of knowing then the Dennis and Callahan Show would be the -- of a lifetime. Over a dozen years recovered some of the greatest stories in Boston sports history. And threw the ball a cattle myself as big a fan is all the loyal listeners we've had. But now it's time for me to move on from WB yeah. My goal when I came here was to become an important part of the show and I think I've achieved that but I also -- more play by play. Full time put my play has always been my number one goal and I think it's time to make it happen. I leave with the greatest thanks and respect for everyone at WB EI and have -- everyone everyone. And I truly appreciate their support. Through this process from the heart yeah sight on why everyone. Yet every every -- and my passion for covering Boston sports -- stronger than ever I'll continue my DC play by play dork. And look forward to sharing my other plans soon. Lastly. I'll never be able to repay John and Jerry for the opportunity they gave me. I will be forever grateful. And cal myself very lucky that I gained two tremendous friends.
