Mike Klis, Denver Post, previews the Broncos-Patriots game

Yeah I mean I I he's a friend of mine so you know others say you know we don't talk talk much during the season. No but I think there's someone that's -- that always looked up to and admired and really respect the way that. He plays the position and what he works the -- he leads. He's been a phenomenal player and then you know we played against them for a long time that the colts expo like every year. And so you see a lot of gains and you know it's obvious that -- -- -- I'm ready talking about Peyton Manning -- to Broncos travel and to be two in two patriots. Part a week five in the National Football League but -- 93 point seven WEEI how old friend again cope and get right back in the mix here. So -- -- Denver back in September 11. I I don't think it's only four games into this -- right. That a pleasant surprise -- in Manny. He has that he looks like. You know with the exception of one quarter against Atlanta. He looks like. He's as good as he's ever been at least as good as he was in 2010. What about the arm strength don't like because -- mentioned -- the quarter he had against Atlanta through the three picks I feel like watching Manning right now a lot of throws to put a lot into it maybe not. The velocity we've seen in the pass from Peyton Manning do you think that's affected him. And all in terms of of the the throws the he has made these first four games. -- -- That there's been much discussion. Not much since Atlantic game it definitely came up there Atlantic in the first quarter. -- takeaways ulcer Texan. But -- can't really do that that's what so many people saw -- street picks in the first quarter. Ricky Moore has another year experience. They picked a jetliner for depth. And he's a good -- you guys know him pretty well and in fact I keep thinking that Jim latter date date they need to start playing Jim letter that sixty. So I think they're a little bit out better equipped especially censored and this isn't like. You know he gave them that the first game Gradkowski -- in the second game. Saw it in Holland and Chris Harris. The nickel back I'd get a pretty good job against Welker in bowl games last year so why do you think the Broncos think they're a little better factor -- still. I do you think the way to attack the Broncos his thirty year they've been surprisingly good against Iraq. So far and I don't know England had a couple hundred yard rushers last week. But Jack del real. His scheme. It is a lot he has been better against the run. So far the second biggest surprise -- or an improvement from last year has been -- defense. I'm number one being the quarterback play of course. Michael -- Denver Post joining us Von Miller was a guy last year you know as a rookie that just. He stood out because the ability to get around that and -- pressure Mike was so scary. If you're an opposing quarterback what do you make a year -- for him his -- taken a step forward in your mind as a defense stand out. What he had and had a soft Warsaw I mean he's got force -- thank. In sell off or sex or four games networks you know X sixteen and anybody will take that as a good year. The thing about Von Miller is she's he's almost on likeable guys one on one. Because of his athleticism he's got tremendous the site -- -- speed off the -- He's strong for you know he's -- 55 strong. Besides that he's got that they column can be he's got tremendous flexibility. And that's what really kind of separates him from other -- structures that's what he has. A lot better than the others it is flexibility. Solid but where Von Miller isn't very good at stopping Iran get better still got a long ways ago. He had in pass coverage he can get lots of -- to compete again. A little two walks and to the backfield and that double move up by a tight it'll give him so. That's what that's teams that do they try to run at Von Miller -- try to pass that Bob Miller. But it's tough to block Bob Miller. Mike you look at Peyton Manning and Tom Brady and it could be one of the best robbery quarterbacks in history of the game given the the importance of the games when they do play the golf than they did play each other throughout their careers. But it was Indianapolis and it was new way England I'm wondering in Denver kind of buzz is that realizing that this rivalry is renewed. Why don't this is why this is my first rodeo the Brady mini rivalry and I'm kind of you know Hubble excited about it at the justice -- you know interview utility interviews and and write the stories. That you you know you you do understand that. Like it has the last twelve years here in the NFL. But that's probably the only quarterback rivalry that rivals and you know -- -- -- -- started it looked at it statistically I've watched almost all the games from afar and really. As I wrote two days you know it's it's an indirect saying. -- Brady goes out on the field and he -- is that -- point to -- cabinet minister and he goes out courses many that he candidate the end of the day that. You know it is her Manny I think it's more -- purses ballot check. That it has been Manning vs Brady. Like about real quick as you got caught up in the and you saw firsthand the Tebow mania and what he did for that team and it might not have been because of necessarily stats. Just he brought something to it. Is -- the right move in New York to go assemble Mark Sanchez European. Yeah. I think you put in people when you went. Where are now. Oh. I know everyone you know -- arise that that guy immediately ridicule that guy in the insult the way that -- passes. I don't care I think there some that. It really energize the defense last year the defense scenes at the jets is affected by people playing quarterback. -- it'll Broncos defenses as he offense and so I'd say the way Rex Ryan likes to play football which is defense and run the ball. That Rex Ryan would get a jolt. And kind of silent all the way to silence the criticism that silence the all the talk about people is to play a and so you play and the way it looks to me from the -- They got not pollute.
