That's something that the league has take care. Think quite honestly we has a lot to look at. You know like us that Roger refs did a great job. Please also able to market. Percent. Greg Jennings responding what do you expect the Packers to do in the situation. I would say that you know and made a big deal about the fact you through tunnels TV whatever. I'm surprised they were thrown TVs out of the locker room last night based on the result of that. Our guy Moore was all over television last night was unfolding was reading text and coaches from players. The he was only giving fifteen minutes and I stayed up I think it's about 230. Outside for our weekly conversation with Chris mortenson has brought to you by Sharon credit union to sleep -- you just go in 24/7. I thought I if I think I got to develop for thirty and then I -- technically today is that it was it was a playoff format so one day kind of take off. But. I woke up dawn -- have been fighting the flu. Then said well you know I've I probably should -- and I can't go on -- -- like this and and then also an NFL released that statement. -- -- -- -- -- -- I felt better I haven't a week it was like all we ought to be. You know I mean really. Mort you bring -- -- -- a good point here with that statement we were talking about it too. You know anybody outside of the NFL offices outside of Greg Aiello. Who agrees with the NFL is there any coach any player any executive that you've spoken with who says. There actually right now just Jerry Jones doesn't count because he has seen that well what -- possession. They've been. -- looks and I haven't and in the last night all the text messages or and they are all about Symbian phone calls in between sports and targets from -- talk about not just people on the to sit there west coaster. Mountain time the central and eastern time beaten guys who were still up we had to get up early this month. I'm talking about executives and talk about prominent head coaches. Yet there were some text from the assistant coach of the net and and then players and some of them very prominent players. But I haven't -- anybody who who who would agree with the NFL -- embryo will present job to do but I think. I mean to me. It'll all the league had to do with your so called statement. Was simply say. That it was simply say the NFL does not. And don't they don't change the outcome of games because of the proceedings right. It's only at the same guys that they got to be at the scoreboard if -- educated to think that the outcome of the game that would have been. That would have been probably a greater. Disaster brightly but it wasn't just. And then -- ability cute that they were officiating mistakes will we don't know they were and we move on as we continue to review anyway yeah. Well anybody that knows anything about it has been commenting on a regular basis with this was not a simultaneous catch and clearly it's in the rule eight section tree. Article one but don't you get the feeling Mort that the reason they don't want to admit. It wasn't a simultaneous catch is this is going to give leverage in the labor negotiations. Which is for all the wrong reasons. I think that the statement wouldn't change the leverage aspect anyway -- -- -- -- and whoever it is there for them it really it's it's it's really that the pressures on. I really believe now there's more pressure on the league to get this thing that we know they're negotiated as we speak. In New York. And I think that you know this statement doesn't change -- leverage at notable size you're kind of -- some of their beliefs. Billy clearly is warned to negotiate to mechanized noted that the dollars a mountain. And -- -- -- association is despite presumably operational. Issues which. Are dear to them which is you know and and that they don't trust a lot of people in New York committee in -- -- the evaluation process. To know make debt so called they were gonna bench you because you've been officiating correlated develop confidence from -- referees association in New York. So. At same time. You know it wouldn't shock me. Maybe a little surprise have also -- some -- me by midnight tonight that they had an agreement there are very agreement was close. That again. This is -- low lying view and make you numb to the truth. -- that thing that's frustrating I think to to all of us and you tell Oscars that's part of your job evaluating these teams. You can't evaluate these teams in talking to patriot players appear certainly when you talk to some of them off the record these games are not. Like the games they played over the last five or six years. Who knows what team these teams are like when the new officials the regular officials combat were probably does seem much different player you haven't difficulty right now. Kind of nailing down what a certain. It was all the probably having no I still think that continued bigger you know we're so they're going to be good -- There's no question to hesitated and mean and I think Chris cars that this this morning -- it is. The other players and coaches Norwalk and onto the field before kickoff with an edge an angry. Because. Of the situation and then the other thing is we also know that. Coaches and players are gonna take advantage in and and know obviously break rules holding. Almost thing did just that kind of impact the game and no. Contrary to what the rules state now. You know the other thing is just that that -- the lack of confidence you know how you're playing with the lack of confidence and and nothing do you think you're legal or illegal is that affecting -- well we don't know we know we don't know the main thing is. You know we don't know how many have already been impacted they'd like to say and I even said last night. Well that finally got a game you know that that could literally we can say Costa Green Bay Packers the win. As one prominent head coach with many years in the league. Told me last night he says. You know I don't know we would like to tell you it's more than one game and it's probably quite a few games have been impacted by calls and non calls -- -- point of the game. This just happened to be one at the very end of the game. I I totally agree with -- which are out there and I totally agree these games to me. Strange things are happening engagement momentum is shifting specially for the home team. The you know more you talk about some of these these coaches take in the field with an edge and anger to woman I think we sought -- -- a -- Sunday night in Baltimore Belichick. And John Harbaugh. Belichick actually made contact with an official what do you hear what's coming for Belichick is -- -- have a 50000 dollar fine or they don't let this -- Well yeah and now I was they would let it go. You know to me my instincts tell me that the an invisible weavers did you know and they say it's under review. Mean finest coming I don't know -- the amount would be. You know grab and touch and an official OK I mean I actually believe Bill Belichick -- an explanation. You know it's just and I've heard some of our referees were -- curiosity might have been curiosity assist. You don't normally you know you stop and explain to the coats exactly what happened. With that field goal call and -- who -- still made out like it that. You know those those officials are probably told get off the field -- again a lot of officials are even -- Gregory officials. No I didn't get up to -- as best he can but in in that case. -- -- -- -- -- And detected it's you know it it was a Sunday night game -- -- -- -- currency would stop and I think until bill -- you know. Guys under their -- -- Good date I went right over the top of the -- that it sent in the poll that's good in the -- baloney on that. But you know nevertheless yeah we're expecting a fine on for both guys Belichick and Harbaugh. There's a good chance that we're gonna see the replacement officials back this weekend as we progress on the season Martina is more desperate and have their -- desperate. Look at new warlords how about that New Orleans and Green Bay playing this weekend in in Lambeau where we're column at the Roger Goodell appreciation day up there as opposed to teams you know. Mike but they're more desperate those two desperate teams right now based on the on their records certainly Wallace's. Or worse Mort in that this ports to right now for these colors. Well there are being -- is that they only played sixteen of these games. And you know you're playoff teams have a tendency to let -- -- -- -- put on the individual basis which. It's a team game but with other guys who were held their bonuses were probable and things like that and certainly. You know the players and fans and coaches who vote gravitate towards media don't -- playoff teams making last night. In my protect wild card spot might might affect -- playoff spot. In this game in Green Bay and New York yeah I mean it's it's going to be. -- interesting to see now but the attitude is limited -- they'll probably just because of the saints and let me ask you guys this question. Seen the -- against. Of the league in this matter -- this but the statement came out today. Doesn't make you question. Even more the process and investigation on the same. -- -- -- -- Absolutely we're talking about this earlier and you wanna know something I think the two things that they did very poorly. In these two different cases as one. They didn't. Think out the New Orleans case and what is the worst case scenario and they had a shorter suspension for each one of these guys they might have got players association. The coach everybody to agree to it and they might have been able to move on with out any legal action. And the same thing can be said about the replacement officials Mort why can't make back in February -- this thing say okay. You know we're gonna get we're not give them sentient ship -- -- rest of the world's point 41 case we need full time officials down the road. We're adding people we're gonna get some of these guys down the road if they if they sucked why would -- have fought it out and had a better replacement plan in place. Well that's that's the that's is that the that's a better question in I think Noonan has been asked and should have been you know they couldn't hire division one officials that because they have an alliance with them over for Regis association. So I think they were handcuffed -- that should have made them. You know -- you -- you have better plan and grab those guys -- training and then dominated territory and -- June. And which can't do I mean that's like that's why it takes. Guys at least three years and and usually longer become both from a a from a hit you know headlines and are back just to refereed to that takes time to progressed to reprises by the way what was he last night. So you know that that's. Yet they say had a better plan I think to deceive them and nobody really shoot some way to get this deal done now. The other thing is you've seen the only began very aggressive and and and instituting block out to the polls and let the other sites strikes. Right now if -- officials had been on strike. You know -- popular opinion would be siding with the league in the -- -- -- could've would've been a strike in not a lock out. Even on that basis alone. Maybe they shared or maybe vicious I don't know that could come to an agreement without SE BA or maybe extend it by one year as the continued to work on it. But that's not what. Either side wanna do that solidly quantity. By the way we talk about. Find for the coaches think any other fives are coming we're watching the the ravens patriots game. Ed Reed had had a couple hits on Deion Branch anything you hear about come and none of coming down the -- Our little Lola looks and there are replenish find last week and we were told to expect that to increase because they are. Sensing that the health and safety net issue is kind of on the front burner again. And that we saw now these via Denver Broncos linebacker -- A suspended for one game. Because that is Saddam match job and we'll see what happens on will Bogut defiant -- -- certainly -- -- some other players around the -- there's no question about that. And he already has some suspensions as well. Let me ask you one more I know that they messed up the operation in that they never declared down on the field on that last play. Whether it was a touchdown or not before they went under the -- But we know they've got the -- official on the sideline he's in contact with the NFL office those are not replaced it. Period ever fearful of performer at full time official opened the boot right. Who's also so just this whole process so once. Why couldn't they have corrected that in that eight minute period we had. To prevent this fiasco why could you comment. And don't think for a minute that -- somebody else sort of on the phone from New York. And maybe more than once somebody out in the command center talk in this through with them and maybe that's the problem is to -- voices. Some of these here I don't know but clearly. It it could have been reversed. And should have been by the way it doesn't make you feel good -- these these big knowledge that there was -- and it. Well yeah CSS at -- etc. so they never call up get that right I said earlier it was a brilliant statement on the NFL's part because they were able to say hello acknowledged some wrongdoing -- not the one that everybody's talking about. Will go to it will go to the three point and it totally ignore the eight point and it happens in every hail Mary pass in Denver animal. Well you know it's it's usually not never call America's solemn the -- in Cleveland Browns and ended at Detroit Lions -- there there might have been. A call there a couple of years ago where they actually called a bit of about might is that we didn't need leadership needed to also open offensive that's an appearance. I guarantee the replacement official -- -- -- And I that's probably and that's -- you know -- and that game went over relatively well -- but no foul. -- Mean we recited a few of -- already about roughing the the passer with a -- outside the tackle blocks he's a -- is it is -- -- -- I don't programs. It all out there and ending -- -- the first half first and 25 the that. Interference on the -- -- No question and the good thing and I know the -- shored -- their pass protection with some extra time and help. But I'd also many holding -- after Robinson they probably just a delta -- I'm just. Hold on to keep from getting hit -- Aaron Rodgers -- would take the flag or whatever after a while because you know. It is just they they got away with it. Why you -- -- I want to ask you though because we were having a debate before you came on I think the this this game the result of the final play. Kind of overshadows some of the problems that Green Bay has on the offensive line. It in glad thinks it may may be that performance had a lot to do with the officials I think it's probably green -- off -- -- why -- you think. I think he can do loses this game that we're now because of the game about being telkom and there were. We're not focusing on the problems -- seven offensive line which are real problems are quite aware of them. And number two. How good Seattle is especially on defense from -- how good that defense says and how the FC west has suddenly become. You know three of the 43 of the top five defensive team in football or in their division and that's the most physical division in football now. I really believe that that's that's remarkable -- would talk about jeopardy because of what happened. Now you're right it's totally unfortunate that there were not because they. The possess right now something the patriots have had difficulty with the -- the way the Packers run their offense the same thing they can rush for. Get back seven back in coverage and -- -- sacked a great quarterback eight times and a half rushing for most the most out of Ukraine president -- ability and yeah pretty impressive. As always great stuff we'll talk to you next week I write a statement appear more like Chris mortenson. Right here in the election.
