To Dennis and Callahan back the phone calls and just the second shot should just put a hole up on we're gonna find a charge FaceBook page are people -- Dennis -- and FaceBook page. Who has the most. -- Opponent in Boston sport. And the list is as follows -- bill MB -- Matt -- All Samuelson. Jack Tatum Bernard Pollard. And I'm lucky yeah -- that's a close tournaments that time I think it was the most hated opponent yeah but the Cleveland only my opponent just.
Funds come from. -- good question I thought that was the weird thing about the Rangers game it was a great game ranges. A great team balanced than play hard great defense often and dive in Russia to block shots flop and it. I blocked shots and there was no one even remotely like Hannibal the him in the they have. They don't have a that's not you know that superstar there's no villain Mario LeMieux and Eric Lindros or guide to stands out. And and -- does -- a guy with that history with all -- him. Put Montreal. Was reeling it's not as big game you don't expect to see them in the in the conference finals. And yet it's so much more hate royal yes on the -- arsenide. Then that was the night before. And I think the Rangers have the best team that the Rangers a bit in the Bruins in the rangers' goal in the bruins' goal right now but. Is it was I got the Montreal game would seem like kind of a downer Euro letdown after the rangers' game -- just the object yes and I know is closer and on the bruins' one but physical. Did you feel yeah it was more even more intensity the -- game was intense. Canadians game being on the road in with the cherub things with all the and they didn't suck as bad as I thought they would based on how badly the plant and I'll and I'll go much turmoil area right -- data and -- him in the second period in only stayed out -- I will say this I've come around as once again Kevin -- on it's right on and on Sunday. Saying the shoot headlines chewed -- still doesn't taste right. Does that feel right and into a shootout to decide the game even the crowd doesn't really seem to get in the would like they used to. Overtimes very intense yeah. It's you know it's a battle in right out of the last second. On the idiocy and they go to the Sheila and go Thomas stopped Carl -- on the issue of -- and to see the numbers something's than others and six -- it's decided by you know guys like -- guys with with skill and and good goalie. It's not a team thing and and I'm I'm would DuPont on Sunday who wrote it's he says I still think it's Chansi. I -- aberrant way of sending one team home winner the other home a loser. And he writes he's he's got a -- quoted witnesses. But to sit there for hours on end waiting for somebody to lower now and -- by the quote -- says. This can be said for hard fought. And I used to thank. Stupid. But I think there's a sense that you've earned the -- Mean the campaign has fought back and and I know in oral homers he has so we're happy the Bruins won the shoot -- that -- and they win the most of their shootouts. But it's almost like. It's like all supposed to be reserved for the all star yet so it's like they all start up it's really great it's definitely it's gimmicky is the feel like an and I get the sense the crew agrees of that. That intensity field in the three appearance and then in the the overtime is -- In the in the in the.
You have to balance that with what you would feel like if that ended in a tie in everybody went home kind of everybody got a medal everybody got a trophy thing. -- that -- LT bullet with that -- I don't think so now McConnell argued as a way to game tying goal like you did make -- 33 that it outfield all a lot of -- felt called to the Canadians having him back from a two goal of well. --
So do you agree or not I can't -- which which society today I watched a lot of the shootout yeah it's not just tiger -- last night. Again if you're just fan boy you say costs them but they it is that the intensity they had 44 periods. Is not there even though the good guys won -- you're suggesting that an end at a time yeah overtime it is 33 your debt. A hard but here's the coach played twenty minutes in the download that flowed jewel is the coach load says I prefer we don't have. A guy whose team is very good at a quote. Hard fought it is worth a lot in that game ended after that overtime which was. -- awesome and that was all kinds of opportunities least felt that way. You know that the in -- for four it was four on free for awhile but four on four you know everything. Hell about to make a free country that gimmick but for a forced fun anyway -- was more for. And it ends and then you go okay playtime. You know kids let's have pizza and -- smells like over there is gonna strangle somebody -- we're gonna settle it but little one on ones little mini one on one. And it just seems silly. And I know I don't know how else to decide a winner and -- keeping people there all night. Which used to be. Kind of fun what about baseball playoffs -- baseball on 189 I hate when he innings now I hate -- into the little three more another third of the game arguably the well news and then you go to -- home run derby. No leave it to it -- to -- it would leave. Baseball the way it is would -- football the way it is. Basketball. Who can use. Of basketball's great five minutes over as far. If you keep just keep playing its intense the overtime is intense and -- overtimes in tents in football. The overtime the second phase of overtime in hockey not really intense extra innings and baseball is not intense. -- I know I'm as a part of our guys.
We are comparing the four sports Andrews in the car entry that you DNC.
I I can't do it. I had like that a lot of this whole lot tying an error here eight my my thing -- why he abruptly gave. Three periods a certain way and Alter and change it up just let all the time with this whole shootout thing.
It doesn't seem like one team and it doesn't matter what happened for for periods. One team has a decided advantage advantage of better whatever skill guys stick handler in a better one on one players didn't you know the Bruins -- gonna win this.
Now you put preaching Sagan out there you got a pretty -- just great great creature couldn't score and you right now. Price -- Take my chances against and that's red numbers for the Canadian guys like one for twelve Eller pats are ready.
And then well it an island when the -- I mean you knew even though Carey Price. I had a good game. I agree what would you get them PD's ability -- game and he's not bad not you know Thomas was better. Did you Sagan and and -- she were better. And the Bruins had a big advantage even though it was a hard fought -- before period.
With the heart what I mean I feel like that you know well deserved I mean they have the right play upstate the end at the right away -- in the regular seat and I finally just and you know -- a ten minute overtime period and then it just caught up.
I am I get the sense hockey guys. No real old little guy -- And do the DuPont and that say so it's not it's not. There you know not right it's not a true gauge. Which team is better than the other and that people. Hockey guys in the Rayner who will walk after it's over. They feel like this so -- was -- miss and liked that that religion and climax it does is it's a good where it's anti climactic particularly. Went to game like last night full of intensity inning in blood and and hate. Lot of hate in the news -- at the end and and clips. And pucks in the face and all that and then they go OK you know what they asked the players six and a half years ago. You wanna do this without helmets and they chose not to and ticket OK to over what they do that in the -- in the Applera all star weekend. -- By guys who don't even need help with my social setback to kick off their shoulder pads and their notion that do. And and just and go out there and have some fun did you -- Tim Thomas said after the game about the should optical some of us.
Ever since I was. Younger again. It's better here if I didn't practice tonight finally convinced the coaching staff and mainly it's here. You get results.
However convince the coaches not to the make him prime maybe a formal way that's true but it's every practice sort of like you know -- to George I think it's.
two parts of -- this practice on the ice and then is that film -- you hear it from. -- who who who who's with -- Emmerich I love camera knows as he did Jones Jones Jones the annual check. Andy via -- they know they know what the guys Tennessee is. On the last three -- he went to the back and I'm pretty sure clone knows that too and Thomas -- the sheriff's at least guts practice but they. Probably hit him once operation yet to say -- what whatever his -- what -- is gonna do. And you've watched it and they do so they know what's common. A lot of times and you know he saw with the yeah.
cribs and -- for Greg expediency. At that I. -- It was a it was a good idea because you -- operating a lawless. And I'll be shot or something that was so rare happening -- to. Culprit of the not yet some -- of the game I think political like your first but now we -- that set up. It's a little doubt -- senate anti climactic and it's still kind of exciting but I think all the time and -- is probably the most exciting.
Now you're going to go Portland is intense unbelievable. Four on four and was that just landed -- guys that Ivan from the parks and guys who just got nothing left Israel and it's gonna make a shift change they barely can Mexican to the bench it's so intense. Oh okay kitchen rattle for twirl ensco -- it was pizza.
Political side note that even Latino voters don't get it right and he delegates. It's almost like the right kind of.
Right now it's true you get a -- trophy -- as -- trophy. -- so no don't that don't matter because we agree that that the shootout cheapens the contest yeah in some format that the cocky people dilutes that if you will do.
My idea is play on what noble race. Would know goalies and let's cheapened and gimmicky that's a very -- do written. And lacrosse he got a guy in net with no pads -- a player can be in that group or block the -- like -- that they can -- across the -- him to go sit down. Goaltenders get done go -- show that I have absolutely guys Getty right yes yes yes they do as a -- eat turn the games. They're like three hours long last let's -- the bacon double cheese and eventually he would know.
Between periods or some sort of sustenance is a Welker you're. The game's halftime. -- Yes circus the have to -- or throw up hardship on power. Gel or -- Gatorade gel things says not a Republican power are -- one of beer they you don't. Meter meter that was great lines -- after Valentine's Day that you know how to celebrate trees when you say. Todd Palin -- to his ability to anticipate the size they can have can have reverse affect ticket you can bring couples back together or it can separate couples will explain that to you 92 from now.
