I mean the reason why today is so much on it -- also that perhaps but I covered. Is that and there are legitimate questions right now at the top of the draft. Of not only who's going where defiantly after two years have no trade. In the top ten of the draft and you know what they're maybe not this year. But after two years -- at least they're pretty I think a good chance then at least one is going to happen.

Well you mentioned trades Peter you have something in your column you're talking about the patriots. Making a deal with the Washington is that speculation or do you think that straight connects.

Now that speculation I mean I've just put the pieces together having the patriots have always been that team particularly. In a year when the draft is not very strong. And that it is this year patriots have always been 18 years draft trade like currency -- Washington Redskins current team that desperately want extra draft picks in this draft. End it -- can do not successfully move well to get Calvin Johnson with the Detroit Lions yet they don't. And I think -- going to be in search of extra picks in this draft. Using next year's draft as leverage because remember the Washington Redskins -- sixth pick in the draft. And then do not pick again until the middle that date tomorrow the middle of the pit around 443 old. Because they've traded their second third or fourth round pick in the draft.

Do you think it's possible if they'd even consider trading a pick from next year because they have sworn up and down they wouldn't touch next year's draft list

you know I was in Washington on Thursday. And I got nudge nudge wink wink stuff from the Redskins oh well that very topic and -- if they find something. If there's something that they want to do. Here not only going to -- next year's draft they're going to collegiate. So you don't have to worry about that -- not being good trait for them there I don't know but. To say it the American attention next year's draft is -- laudable concept but it's also who -- to get their history. They very much look at next year's draft -- I could deal they like.

Peter there -- lots of rumors out there tell us what's going to happen. At the top of the draft today.

I think like everybody thinks that out davis' and want to Marcus -- he can't. I think it's going to be impossible for him not kick -- unless Cleveland makes my hopper he absolutely can't repeat. For the first pick of the draft because Cleveland also like to Marcus Ross so. I believe that the first pick of the draft is going to be -- throw. And then after that had the second pick in the draft is going to be Calvin Johnson I just don't know who's going to make it I think. If I had to put up on -- Alex -- 6040 the Detroit Lions picked Calvin Johnson. Keep on many lines up as a book and Leroy Williams. And they live happily ever after what they're -- throughout your treatment they don't went help. That up for teams I in this draft are going to be calling. Canadian media on the fundamental right now during this complex to try to get him I think that he's probably getting -- from the Redskins -- here for camp up hill ear problem you'll hear from Atlanta then there's another team Murton to right ankle wouldn't be surprised if he heard from. San Francisco 49ers really really want to open jobs -- pain. Don't be surprised if there's an upset air. But I do believe that yet they would be it trade. -- going to be -- idea. I think -- Cleveland State for nearly eight Brady Quinn I think if Tampa states where it is. He can either gain Adams or moby Korea and I think. Arizona is really trying to get out of number five. And that would rather have the right around the -- Thomas but I think you're going to take offensive tackle the fifth pick in the draft I believe will probably Biggio Thomas. But it might not be here on the cardinals making an epic.

Adam chapter on the NFL network is is reporting today that the patriots and the raiders have had discussions about Randy moss the discussions continued today that moss says -- indicated at least a willingness to restructure his contract but only for New England. You think there's a chance that happens.

I don't think it is his willingness to restructure his contract is only for doing what he would also putrid green and I. And I do think that whoever gives. The highest draft choice to the Oakland Raiders and the guy is the team it's -- get greedy mosque today I think -- possible be traded today. I think Mike Williams received her -- been hugely disappointed will be treated for a second -- draft -- today -- tomorrow but yet you're right right do you think patriots I think it makes sense for them if they don't have to treat like go get -- are. I I hurt their record and I don't know that actually so I. I antitrust Betty -- But I don't know that myself and it's obviously something but that'll be worked out today.

We saw Randy Johnson are Randy Johnson Randy moss in his days in Minnesota under Dennis green playing with Cris Carter playing with a Randall Cunningham some great numbers. How close is this Randy moss to that one -- percentage wise as if -- 70% of that -- he's still the same guy whereas.

I think he's almost the same guy that he was just kind of want to play football last -- that worrisome thing. The only way if you're Petrie -- you take greatly on these big key to a contract that won't hurt to appease the media and if you don't have to pay too much together. I mean if they have to pay anything more than they will certainly get them I would do it because -- I just don't think he's trustworthy right now plus he's 30 years old are going to be 30 this year but. I think that guy come for the patriots. It Corey Dillon was supposed to be home record and Corey Dillon wants almost perfect citizen. You know while he was in the -- so I think it. It's like Gary Sheffield went to the Yankees with the exception of a couple of ups he does he was great there. When people go to teams were certain things are expected to -- coat -- take any nonsense usually the players -- the -- The only guy he'd seen that they could it hasn't worked well it is Terrell Hollins but I haven't -- everything he possibly pretty good citizens -- we.

Bill Belichick set on the big show yesterday afternoon here on the station that everybody wants to move down. The problem is finding somebody who wants to move up are you getting the same sense.

I think in the last three or four years you pretty -- four times the number teams that want to move -- up last year everybody want to promote. And it's similar to appear to some degree but the one difference is that as he looked at. This situation this year. You know there's a player so many people. If a pretty quick story you know what that that the league meetings this year I was in that would. Peter like to hear your read on two players because you hear various reports about these guys some. Some people say they're going to be the top ten top 15. Some people say they're going to be in the 20s or 30s. I'm talking about John beast than a linebacker from Miami and Adrian Peterson the running back from Oklahoma where do you see these guys going.

I -- decent hour late in the first round guy tremendous disparity of opinions about him -- Michael he's eight. He's got people can't really hit it great read on whether he can -- that type of of athletic linebacker -- people some people view him aspect I don't think he's hurt everybody. I I think he is you know I think yet right around 30. Honest Burke Adrian Peterson. This is a great question right now because you have people in the league who feel like. The next time you get hit really hard and in a pre shoulder again because it was slightly fractured again Indian in the bowl game that'll. Played and -- this theory out here is that he did not let it heal long enough that he shouldn't have played that game that he rested back. And so opponent was not and it all together so they're or he broke it again now also happen. People currently you're wondering. You can I have to go in the day after the draft him do surgery put it -- immediately get there to make that right for the future or. Are you just going to let it let that thing -- right. You know an immediate August are given -- some real. Solid hitting competition and hope it makes it through a year might yet is that whoever drafts. Is going to have certain period after the draft played and hope he peeled and cut for this season's itty -- but you know. One team that I our previous week senators -- 5050 chance that the first time he gets it real art shoulder and a great beat him.

Now how phone how are we talking about the fall for.

I'm not saying it felt they'll definitely take them but I think those are teams that. Every year you have a couple players in addition to Peterson for the physical issues players who fall sometimes inexplicably. Reggie Nelson an Alan branch -- players who seem to fall into that category this year are you hearing any reasons why.

Well Alan branch there had a -- inconsistent up and down here you know Michigan. And plus he's not career repeat past most people think he's going to be certain classic knows. And so I mean he -- ease ease not necessarily going to be got like a multi Korea. It's sort of -- 43 Rusch type. You don't defensive attack like right now they're more or ant lions in being played you know felt premium lines so. I think that that branch is is falling. But I think that in part because a lot of teams -- don't see him. As certain natural fit enough for three days Timor -- nose guy had three man line I think one of the other guys soon. You know might fall on its -- out -- people wonder if it maxed out his ability level and college if he's going to get any better. He's sort of probably a little bit too late in the year you know all of middle linebacker he's 35 feet 37. I don't know if he's as athletic as as a lot of teams would -- the -- You know middle linebacker but it only takes one when I get my. -- I project them to -- well buffalo because right Nomar we eat in local guys used his neck shape. But it'll -- what happens it's always. Interest injury draft he wondered if you guys who fall and I'm not convinced it's because they're bad players because. Teams that particular year just might not have a bit like paragraph here. I'm not sure that because he was a bad player I think it's because he went by about ten incident that. -- time it -- quarter.

You mentioned buffalo I think that's very interesting last year they surprise people what Donte Whitner he was their guy this and we don't care what you think we're going to take a this year buffalo could be in for a surprise that they can surprise some people too because they need linebackers and they need running backs who knows what Marley he's going to do right.

Well the other issue is. You know there's chance I think Michael turner. There's a decent chance he's going to get treated right it eagle for the first second round draft choice. That the church leaders also yeah. Could trade him -- pick next year. To a teammate and talking to. That is is a good team I don't know which team is that it's better -- and the three teams that are going on right now talk that I am not made a solid offer. First round pick in his company. Talk to them about it which I think is categorically certain people running back -- and Ernie banks are on the trees but. You know respect our product of Eric Pryor and I think it's idiotic. Just think that this guy is going to be such a great player that you want to treat a one or any -- running back who wouldn't say you on the block I would say. Could be had they are real good trade which I don't think they're going to get it Larry Johnson is Larry Johnson wants in the mother Logan's contract negotiations this year's self. Because then that's been a busy day or could be much ado about nothing got.

Well there's a report out of Tennessee that the titans are trying to acquire both Michael turner who you just mentioned and lions wide receiver Mike Williams. You think they're golf all.

Yeah I mean you know it's pretty deep in the lineup they're going to treat Mike Williams today I think to the and whoever they treated the -- they could be tremendously disappointed but I think your portrait Mike Williams today. Tennessee would be perfect fit because obviously they're -- secret work. So I wouldn't be surprised I also wouldn't be surprised if they treated here too they get Michael turner they either

I think I know the answer this question but I'll ask you just to get a more detailed answer. You said a team acquiring Mike Williams will be tremendously disappointed watch.

He's not football player I don't know what he has these. You know he's like like football when he got a bonus but he hasn't worked part if football player alliance now -- be just doesn't want to be here may be easier meat eaters some other dynamic going on. He hasn't worked harder. -- put on weight sort of Willy Nilly he'd just he has not been a guy who likes football. And he's not a guy who likes to work hurt so those guys usually tend to be disappoint their whole careers.

Well let's assume the patriots pick 24 and 28 until we know better what directions do you think their luck.

Yeah I think they it go anywhere on the fence for I think I'm actually they -- a white receivers to and end I mean I think. That apparently the most logical thing for them to do is sure there's secondary with the best available Shakespeare quarter. You know obviously none of us know their rankings deal with those positions but those -- the positions that I think. Are going to Pete best stock at that point in the draft.

What saved you do you like for the patriots -- As to what what state did you like for the patriots.

You know -- pay I probably. I probably would say that guy who who I was like pretty -- right there if I could if I could keep them. Somebody right there is I really for them I would hope to beat near corner protective service safety for Texas those two guys triple. They're like old. You know into into spot. Is that it seems to need is a perfect spot for them. Because to meet if you look at -- what your needs are and where they are right now and try. Those are two players sort -- fit their profile right now

that's a Peter and probably the smartest -- I'll put on United States and America -- you as you make the same guy -- kept -- yeah I I think -- Are all that. I tried to you know what I mean I try to do not.
