Transcript - will not be 100% accurate

Danielle -- -- we chat let's listen to the end of our pregame show -- -- today. -- like today you hit that first pitch count. -- thank. You listen well. Did you put a heck of a swing on the ball that would. As he got up to bad now bases loaded your first Major League at bat your mom and better in the stands. Tell me what's going through your mind are you thinking to yourself. That that axiom hey I should swing at the first pitch is this is the first pitch dug in the big leagues you'll you'll get the one chance. I think the situation for me dictated that I was gonna go first -- You guys on base opportunities that help us get back in the game and that that was really would. -- made me take a case that if he does mean something swing in Gulfport. But all the other just you know me who have been -- on the back where you know -- got something hit. We're out. Chris you have the advantage that pitchers on the ropes at that stage yet -- you really took advantage of it that you ran hard though to you had to know was gone it was crashed the you know I didn't at first and then you know I think it's you the ball's going look this hour in the Atlantic. Maybe one or two steps that no way this balls go online and at that more analysis on. Cloud nine just partner in the peace. You killed at by the way I was it was a beautiful swing thank you and -- goddess have been paying for -- home runs at the minor league over this this is a magical day -- nobody does this this was only done one other time in the history of Major League Baseball. -- -- In his first at bat hit a Grand Slam on the first pitch that's incredible really I mean. That's the then everything -- yeah and only only for men have ever hit a Grand Slam in Major League history in their first at bat but you're the second on the first pitch really that's amazing. He had Kevin Kouzmanoff on the first pitch in the one of the others you teammate Jeremy your media. What did you think when he came up the second time he took the pitch you know for strike -- with a bases loaded. You know I was still looking for. You know fastball that that stage and then -- the first pitch changeup and then he they -- verbal exchange approvals -- did he mix you know mix well and he got me -- time I was still looking for somethin' it is probably look at this is looking -- zone in and he just you know threw some good pitches and had me. But I know your mom and dad made it in time. Enough of the ballgame and they did the smart thing is if -- boys -- make his Major League debut they left their bags at the airport. They did really they weren't gonna win we understand they left them there and they got here in time and he saw everything you dead. Edit video recorder out as well but what does this mean to you Dan yielded to do it here in Fenway Park to have the kind of day you did. Against the really good ballclub like the Phillies on national television. It's hard to put in the work I mean I'm grateful. For the opportunity and I have a lot of people like to think what you just did. Be able to do here -- to do with these great bands in and the environment and as he says against the Phillies -- very good team it's it's awesome it's hard but. What I field in the worst -- obviously great experience and pretty pretty excited. You way to get here from Indianapolis or protect you played last night what about your parents did he get here in California. They actually -- Indianapolis with me. It's just how things worked out the my dad's business out there and -- -- plane a couple of years and so he was out there the first time in maybe two years to watch you play and then. Using take off on Friday found that that was coming out and this redirected his flight from from their here. Or pretty well connected. Here and read such radio booths sold to somebody else who wants to meet tomorrow. Something else and we'll just leave it at that but we we know you've been leaving a ticket for several years great story actually. For Erin Andrews your your big fan as many of us are. And it is there's a little birdie tells his chance she may be here at the ballpark tomorrow -- so really interestingly -- make a great weekend. So I'm not better all of Daniel tremendous job today we we can't -- thank you enough for coming on and a magical they've provided so many fans here. Not only at Fenway but as you'll find out all through New England with a spectacular day. Well thanks for having as to why you part of history Danielle and then we're so happy for you is so was Red Sox Nation thing. Thanks Daniel yes.
