You had other TV viewing plans last night maybe you were and you're watching NCAA basketball our. May be really wanted to see Grey's Anatomy or something maybe you didn't watch the Bruins game at the TD garden against the Tampa Bay Lightning may be only looked at the box score this morning. And you went all man. The Bruins had -- culminated this game. And Tehran had a mock he had to a stolen this game. And look at that fifteen to eighteen shots on goal advantage and they lose five to three. You'd be wrong. How the hell -- this Bruins team come out that flat make that many mistakes at the start of the game. And not played with any desperation at all till they're down 522 in the third period. Don't be fooled by the shots on goal. And don't think that all of a sudden it was the goaltending the cost to a game for a change to grass wasn't very good. Like come on how do you turn the puck over the way they did early on. And at L one point forty -- exit during the intermission he said the Bruins have to work sole hard. For every goal you can't be given goals away and think you're gonna what do hockey games.
To get upset with. With a less fortunate dale cannot get up get upset this is an example of a kid. Who is busted his tail. And gives you Steve Martin's. Perfect at this as.
the the kid didn't bust his tail on the first period last night he did know the kid the kid slept walked through this thing. The kid can take any notes to keep didn't read the assignment did the kid didn't do anything to try to win this is not a talented scared by it. Today this agreement that -- do you did it's great because we talked about a guest couple days ago. And I was telling you about the core of this team does that your OK with the core core yeah. At six forwards under contract for next year I'm okay it would votes and got twelve the net while people under contract for next year. And that's record I'm not okay with that they're not count and just not the got to the got to get a lot more talented faster -- championship but. Oh here's a question for you okay you want them to make the playoffs and what what would you would you rather see.
I would rather see them make the playoffs. And I've gone back and forth on this thing I you know I thought about it. I I think that it did it will be a fairly quick trip through the playoffs. But I'd always rather see playoff hockey in the spring here than so.
There have guys I think I always think it's a good idea for young teams to make the playoffs. Even if you know they're gonna get crushed if they wind up resonates the they might when he gamer -- game at least they won't get swept out of the that gets swept by either team. I Washington Pittsburgh and that if they can somehow climb up to you know six or five. Then the story changes a little more and maybe. They might even be get out of the first round but. They're not that good. The fact there even in this in this position is amazing isn't it.
Yeah I mean we considered ten game losing streak during the season game injury is -- the criticisms that we've had of this team. Yeah no you're right you're right. And and already a texture in wanting to bitch about the officiating so the first goal was offside. I'll give I'll give -- credit for this after the game. He admitted debacle was -- but he said forget about that. We've got to do so to prevent that forget about you know -- and he wasn't gonna have any part of blaming the officials. I mean and and and another -- to -- I must've been watching a different game -- dale. You probably war. Because he you thought the Bruins came out with any sort of energy authority. How will to win I mean giveaways awful playing. I Chara terrible in his own end Seidenberg with a bad giveaway in his own and downright Wideman -- about three double. You can't take talented offensive players extend -- is like San Louis as likely probably -- can be. Can handle my opportunities like that.
Who have three guys does mention -- going to be here next year. -- You mentioned does Seidenberg is a freeagent is an unrestricted free agent Wideman is going to be here next year -- I don't think I don't think he will be an oddity and how to gonna. Worked out out and I and I agree it sounds like an impossible task they got I don't picture -- and here's here's a frustrating thing. For the bees. Have two guys that this off the top -- that are making a lot of money. That nobody wants. Gotta find a team. Got to find a dummy mean they've got a couple Michael on their team is that what you mean. Even worse. Because. At least for Mike lol. If some team came to the Red Sox and said. -- will pay three million dollars in salary -- in the NHL you can't do that he he's -- gap be gone so this is worse. You can't do it nobody would do it. -- the dumbest vehemently. The dumbest team in NHL European. Boy general manager just makes mistake after mistake after mistake optimistic -- that Donald sterling. A hockey. Bad owner bad -- yeah notes could question is now back of the date used to be the Blackhawks that's change -- better now that's finally got the talent to play back in there you want the Maple Leafs two when they've. Taken steps to make our marriage is -- are out of problem. But you -- that's the only chance you have of getting ready that two guys that you don't want here. Nobody else want to meet -- It was Tim Thomas right now nobody else is saying. You know one would put them out there. I think they're gonna find a place him if you have doesn't it trophy winning performance again. I think you'll find a team that will be willing to take him on III money east lake is six million dollars next year yeah one house down after that yes six million -- I just can't imagine. The team saying. Out take up the back of goaltender for the Bruins.
Two seasons removed. From the vezina. Which was out of out of character for his career he's been a good -- good goaltender but he's never been great was great for one season. He's paid like he's been very good for a long time I'll take this guy -- 69 dollars. So get Tim Thomas nobody wants him -- thinking about it was Dennis Wideman either. In and you you you combine those salaries you're talking over ten million dollar I know.
