Do you think that yeah I had heard you say when -- interviews that you wanna be known for more than than dunking your three time dunk champion. I know some guys have had not done the dunk contest because they wanna be known as as complete basketball players do you think you're you're done competing in dunk championship -- us. And the police at -- does this because there. But I -- -- it's cool because these are made history here let my kid can always go back to say. -- -- -- three time champion. Obviously. On the I've been less of that -- -- it in the and bill but you're eight. -- about a strong. But -- device so -- You know we do I'll watch out jubilation. Or not you're a retired three time NBA dunk champion and can look at it you know from the outside looking in is it time that. Kind of shuffled out around little bit is again a little stale that competition. It he got up by the it's making its. He got to have that -- a deep that it wanna do it can't put that in that is Billy disability -- Yet it cabin but. I think. May be a part of it is is creativity to make certain guys if you have the same guys doing it over and over again and their creative guys there's probably going to be good contest. Yes they dedicate if it you know debate today -- -- dies. You know at at the -- to. Now -- I gotta be completely honest with you before you came to town before you're Celtic. I used to -- on the air Nate Robinson has got drives me crazy. Not one of my favorite players. And and but I think part of that was the probably got a call the -- Kim Noah effect. It energy players. High energy guys you want among your team but when they're on another team you say -- some of the bottom that gets under gets under your skin. You feel like you feel I have guys said that about you before my the first got to say this. I mean everybody ability. I'd be out tempers we don't care what people think about -- that in I can less. -- probably that'll be that just lead Q would only say. Let me in Atlanta on paid you know it was speech in the so. And unite the app operated -- optics -- you play which is hard -- -- it's low like just. The guys you'd like it made it may billionaires let those that if I didn't get to know big game. Anybody can play again I in the NBA I doubt it but again that. Some who unlike some other place bettors might not like where those beepers. Care people like they owe it to regain. That. List up to -- decency. Wish me happy birthday guess. You can. -- -- -- well you know what. I answer right it's taught him out of power and I've been open minded guy I'm an open mind to guide me I am willing to lead Elise who bought it so. I respect I respect it. -- see much difference. Style wise and I know if the NBA level you don't get to practice much so. Practices don't tell you much you don't get a chance to do much of that but do you notice much difference is style wise between Mike. I mean. At that time he's been off it's that it did a decent. We acted -- if it's inevitable to great head coaches in 01 just spoke lot of these is the world of Nevada office. And end up spending I don't know how to put this the culture. And I know you're still learning that the the atmosphere around the dressing room in the players. Is it different here because of the veteran presence of all we called the Big Three with KG and ray and Paul. Here -- BA you could say that you know that I go to big Brothers -- -- In the Euro group of young -- you know like -- who would love the game just play the game for what it is. And you know knowledge you know we met by the it we have made player also you know we know. You know we did know what that he'll learn and in case you guys make well what it can't be just but he you know they know what to expect. So now it is you know it is different transition in. Culminated with. I always -- what Charles Darwin's theory about what it is that a that a deal would suggest that adapt. I don't know how many guys have mentioned the First Amendment and Charles Darwin in one interview sir you're off to a pretty good start here. That was had here -- Sports Radio but let me ask you is that -- always had a theory about players. We're under six feet taught these guys spent so much time opponents. Try to take advantage of the height difference. That they get out of their normal games you know they they tried -- -- -- -- post him up on the try to post him up and and get away from their games in the team's game -- do you find that. What did you or did you find that when you first started playing in the NBA gods work. Trying too hard to take advantage of the -- different. And that it has plenty capable to do you know it's that fighting these Nazis in. Exploit of the -- and capitalize and that's what that it -- about you know read if the situation in. So what does -- what is your approach when you when you're approaching when your garden guy who is you know 616263. It is able so comfortable. That went but a couple about in the wake up each and mr. arguably in. The the -- of the ball. Outside because whatever it is that can do they did so comfortable with it'll be you know two couples cavity and make it shot to. You know it'd -- its -- automotive competent but I can't. May we appreciates taken the time to join us welcome to Boston and good luck the rest of the -- it take you take care. All right outside Nate Robinson newest member of the Boston Celtics.

NESN's Barry Pederson on the Bruins dominance

Cleveland Indians hottest team in baseball, yet remain last in attendance May 19, 2013 By AJ Kaufman 6 Comments There’s a scene in Major League where Bob Uecker, portraying the radio voice of the Indians, bemoans, “In case you haven’t noticed, and judging by the attendance you haven’t, the Indians have managed to win a few here and there, and are threatening to climb out of the cellar.” Well, that was nearly 25 years ago and fictional, but today’s reality is that Cleveland has won 17 of its last 21, and currently tops the AL Central with a mark of 25-17. No one in the majors is better than the Indians in the past month (20-7). That’s great news. The bad news, however, is the Tribe somehow remain in the MLB cellar when it comes to attendance. How can this be? The fact that I wrote on this same topic almost to the day last year – when only Tampa Bay drew fewer fans than Cleveland - may be even more troubling. Though roughly 34,000 watched a walk-off win Friday night against Seattle, perfect weather and free caps weren’t enough to draw more than 36,000 Saturday and Sunday combined. What did the Indians do in those tilts? They nabbed another walk-off win on Saturday, then the Indians crushed the great Felix Hernandez Sunday behind Justin Masterson, arguably the AL’s best pitcher right now. Fun fact: The Indians have already faced eight Cy Young Award winners in 2013: Bartolo Colon, R.A. Dickey, Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee, Jake Peavy, David Price, Justin Verlander and Hernandez. They have won seven out those eight matchups. Simply astounding. This offseason, the much-maligned Indians front office finally made a legitimate attempt to improve the team through free agency. I’m not talking an Ubaldo Jimenez-like trade, but rather smart acquisitions that brought veterans Mike Aviles, Michael Bourn, Jason Giambi, Scott Kazmir, Brett Myers, Mark Reynolds, Drew Stubbs and Nick Swisher to Cleveland. In addition to being a fantastic place to watch a game due to great egress and ingress, with extremely affordable tickets, the best promo lineup anywhere, Jacobs Field boasts overall, cooler, less muggy summer weather than most Midwestern locales. The team also lowered beer and hot dog prices to $4 and $3 respectively. What other professional stadium in any sport offers that? I have visited 28 of the 30 current Major League Baseball stadia, and few top The Jake when all angles are considered. I say that as a baseball fan, not an Indians fan. As for the putative “economic” angle, these are the same people who spend insane amounts of money to watch terrible football every fall and show up in decent numbers for putrid basketball in the winter. Irrespective of season length, those sports charge up to 10 times the price for a ticket, and the atmosphere isn’t half as fan-friendly as baseball. I understand fans’ lack of willingness to get on board to some degree. A decent recap of Cleveland’s decade of “rebuilding” can be read here and the team suffered a horrific collapse last August. However, in addition to all the benefits of attending games at Jacobs (now Progressive) Field, fans should also realize the team has potential and often exceeds preseason aspirations at any point without warning. Cleveland hosts the rival Detroit Tigers — heavy favorites to repeat as AL Central champs — Tuesday and Wednesday nights before hitting the road. The temperature should be pleasant at first pitch each evening so you’d expect The Jake to be full to watch the best hitter on the planet right now — but don’t count on it.
