Along with the entire staff and team and everything else all of those months put all of this together and then. Suddenly the stadium and it all -- phone. -- it's certainly disappoint. Yesterday -- it and that's. Scott picked up the pieces. How -- when you deal with something like that do you play this one over and over and over in your head or do you get to the point where you sit there and say okay. You can get away from a 'cause the season is over we can't advance on the know we can do anything yeah. And then collect everything and then try to evaluate put together for for the next.

I -- a little bit of both no we we put Baltimore next year which could certainly learn a lot from this game. Parcells and also and in the future preparation -- pressure -- and we'll take a look at that -- also just. Figueroa the entire body work the the seventeen. Regular season one postseason games and a tropical that in practice but just one game the poll. All season. And -- as well they'll talk mostly had a bad day but after a -- grab the finger. He used the ball is fluttering in the -- normally -- the table that affect his hand at all when he grabbed on that but that script. And ask him about the threat. Doctor and that I think he was okay. It -- play quite well enough at the -- scrimmage and then Cameron implement that on the secondary so those. Obviously a terrible -- to start again.

something that was really peculiar after the game said that he had been watching lots of TV. And listening to Brady's cadence. And therefore he could pretty much anticipate from all of the times he had heard it. On TV and it did seem like a couple of times that he seemed climate perfectly. In in breaking through -- possible.

For those sort of problems. -- on that on that blitzer came up the middle had more exposed to come up and hit him. Obviously the fact that he picked tobacco but it looked like he got a good shot -- normally at home you have you should cadence. You can stagger so guys can't anticipated. He would watch a film did he get a full run at that and then. And Roy just to get complacent trying to do what you have pretty good on a pretty good run. You know there I mean -- it they do pretty good job -- coming up their blitzes anyway and and gorillas a very experienced player so. You know he he might of might have been able in -- time that up a little bit.

That's that's possible to. How do you go through -- hole valuation. Process. When you. Not just with the players the coaches the system scheme everything else. How do you sit down and say. I'd have just seen this whole body of work this whole season. And figure out what went wrong because it. You know will do it now for the next few weeks and things will do and everything but few weeks it's real you've got to figure out there's a lot of good -- a lot of -- There's guys that should be here guys that shouldn't be here. Probably play scheme should be here should be how do you do that -- process all of that now how long does it take.

well probably takes a good good solid month. At the unity offseason that to dual what you're talking about. Comes in different stages that. The first thing -- assemble all the information. And then you you look at the different areas that you talked about and and various people are involved in those give you know give their opinions and trying to identify problems and -- attempt -- solutions and try to figure out what's in with the best course of action and then. Once that's determined than. -- sales on that sometimes it's not evident. Right away exactly what the problem is never exactly -- solution is and sometimes that takes little further investigation and then. Try to dig deeper and do little more research and Sunni conflict so -- and it's not that's that's there's no exact formula for the in the process of get the information lookin' at it. Get in different perspectives on and then. Trying to arrive at. That it had a direction. To go.

But obviously during the season you compile the information game the game no trick to tendencies. Have to work -- what has worked and it -- summary and then. The valuation. Right right we we do a game by game but yeah at the end of the year he had.

A lot more time to look at a lot more information look at it from different different angles and different perspectives. And again a lot of times things are. Look bad they're really pretty close to being Gooden and sometimes things look good that. Are circumstantial and they they're really. Probably -- As good as what what you think they are you really look closely at sudden and can go both ways. Put toward the one trend that really 60 this football team that haven't seen since you've taken over its head coach. Is about eleven or twelve on the sixty regular season games this year. Certainly the second half there was the demise and not just not so much at the scoreboard two point just being able to finish off teams. How you correct that. Well it it all comes back consistency whether it's a star in the game well or finishing and Weller or planned for sixty minutes and that's. That's an area you're right the -- didn't do great job of -- this year and we. You know you always strive for that but this year we relax and consistency and and and I was throwing all three phases of the game and so certainly at the beacon in the game. Yesterday it was. A big big hole forces try to dig out of couldn't get out of it now sometimes that's comet at other points and again.

Was there a lack of leadership particularly on defense put may be able to was -- initial vote lack of leadership having. Number here. Previously users move on.

Well but I think every team has its own chemistry has its own. You know has some dynamics and in leadership I think that you know a number of our players or younger players. That drug nanos. Brandon meriwether Logan Mankins guys like that or are outstanding leaders. If they do a tremendous job and in their own way and -- a different styles of leadership and so forth. So. But you know ultimately I think. In the end nobody can do anybody else's job and as much as leadership's important it's it's. Equally or maybe more important for per person do their job and do well and that's the throw the main thing that we need to we really needed needed to do this year that are as a football team assists for everybody yeah consistently execute. What we needed to and we had play at times when things are good but than they would. Not because consistently and that's that's -- level you need them. In it yet to be good football team and we witnessed that do consistently -- we have our moments but we can can -- short at times and I was definitely acacia street.

You're -- you're at or begin your vote log transition defense in the office seem to be. More solid -- more guys most. We look like -- expected more but the inconsistencies. How much does it change the game plan that you in the implementation altogether new. Office coordinator and you'll all put it together how much of of it to change the game planning. In the implementation game playing for over the years and you obviously have saying it. But what was the difference between years pass and -- could -- lot of transition over the years with the assistant coaches and coordinators and you know we had to seem to have but it's clean transition from want to have a this year it seemed -- Never seem to be o'clock a real consistent office.

Well I think the process this year was the same as it's been a previous years and and I think. When you look at. 05 seasons -- in the 06 season. Offensively some of the things you're saying now you -- send them to so. But the short game not who is at all well or it -- whatever is some you know some element of that that's missing so. I think that. The process -- same as -- You know can we do a better job from a coaching staff of design better place -- and and better gotten. We get more efficient operation all around absolutely and that's that's on the we need to. We work on the offseason on offense defense and special teams that we we need. Improve our you know our overall coaching and and the system in and the way everything works we we need to find tendon. And make it more efficient make it better and in the play better and we need to just do everything better -- don't think you can look at a game more or even seven losses over the course of the year. And feel like there's there's not areas that you can improve their waters we can -- and we need to try to address all of them and we can get a little bit better in a lot of things that ends up in a big improvement.

You're always emphasize. And rightfully so to -- that every year is its own season as a song and unique. Setting and we have a tendency -- even more so optimistic outlook but altogether they've had success -- 07 and they were great plan they agree now. I thought DNC gave this morning and press conferences quite interest in talking about the dynamics. Of coaching staff and you've got a lot of changes because -- lot of success here guys moved on the dynamics. You now as a three time Super Bowl champion with me understand avenue. Mentioned that you know with with Romeo Charlie they would say you really wanna do that but was kind of interesting. Do you think you need to have guys that are more vocal. Around you Steve is talked before about being around you win now team plans were formulated you actually asked him for his opinion. Our normal size but it -- life and it might have patent on our soil and that it -- do you think maybe that. You're presence with some of these guys that they are shy about doing network Romeo where Charlie word. You know re able guys before which sit there and say what an -- week what do we noticed that was actually it's true.

Well I think Jericho -- that has some dynamics to run and you know I think our staff does a good job they were car they're well prepared at that they. They'd -- date party get the information we need and and I think that we you know collectively as a group make. You know try to make the right decisions. Could we do a better job sure but I think that there's a that are our system can operate efficiently in an -- pretty plenty of examples this year last year through the years where. And we've certainly more than held our share in the finance one picture about the football field so. But candidate like anything else can we do a better job sure -- on a much of the offer to play calling we directly involved in this year. Ultimately every play gets called. You know the final sale and so therefore. If there's an event you don't like then probably only account -- that's another exchange cellular it's always like everything filters where you are well it's. The final sound plays so. Ultimately if the plays a bad player it's called Enron situation or. It doesn't work out right then. And on on the -- finally responsible for movement buck stops. My desk so I'll accept that.

Just -- feel good about the percentages of that kick in the field position if we had missed that were felt if we could back them up and stop bombing get the ball back we could. Cut to two score game and and we've been able to stop them -- pretty confident we we could cut it to two score game. But they were able on the clock on the and a half -- those those two. First downs and they got there at the end of the second quarter were. But that was really. Over several low points in the game analysts that was definitely one of them the that had we been it was stopped on their get a little momentum. Square before the half making it two score game -- at three -- That would've that would've helped but. Indiana at doubtful about enough based on the way the entire game went. That was an opportunity that we missed.

When things start. Almost spinning out of control -- they do in the first quarter what what can you or your staff -- was coaches. True. Stem the tide dorks. Two of you to stop what it was what he would keep doing most situations.

I think the main thing is for everybody just understand its -- one play at a time he can't score point four points position. Can't take a three terms on one play Scotland want -- time and try to. Have one good play and not behind a string three or four together and that's how things that are. And course as a competitor you wanna try to make that they play you're gonna -- it plays at that. Turns things around it changes the direction of -- don't wanna go on. It's the threatening more port at that time to really. Focus on your job your responsibility your technique and it does try to get one good -- that's -- you can do this planet and he get that. The says trying to -- coupled together and that's that's the best way to turn that around. Google there. They now one place. It's that works but for most pork. He just get some consistency yet. Get them to control game back but it took to which you know model -- times. The report and yes we're doing deterrent for -- that with the lack of experts who receive your injury in here ailment. -- I think the the only question you get into when when you do that it is. They hear it -- some plays in the game plan behind and he feel like. -- you have some. Certainly things in ago. Great I'm not saying that but he's still a place that they feel like obeys the want to -- on. In these still pretty good plays him got a chance to run yet because we haven't had the ball very much for -- You know where we -- we don't wanna. We don't wanna give up those plays that is going to a two minute no huddle mode and that that's kind of decision maker at some point he's he's just okay for -- what we have word here's a new template that -- gonna. -- Holland and trying to trying to get back in the game Natalie but. The say the only the only downside flip side to that is. You eliminate game plan -- now we use. Obviously the anchor good place and there. If you feel like special place for those toys than they him on to -- if you look those wins you know it. The ways things there were player planets it's -- happen this just isn't going to be but we thought laws and Anthony's. We still felt like some things that were. That we can attack them so we we gave a couple -- series there in third quarter. And of course it did work out so it should. The most. The Puerto passes -- rule of watching from -- anything. You did it I mean he saw them do that you didn't expect him do. When I'm not really denied I think they've they've. Played their defense that played well and and that they don't give up a lot of easy place to to anybody and include -- and yet work form. If execute well and and they certainly did a better job of and excuse their defense that we do are often and vice Versa their offense RD so. In all way around it's just the game that they were the better team than they Peterson ever hear the game. Coaching plan offense defense special teams unit that they are better team -- Give them credit and and certainly we've. We're very disappointed in our performance -- we -- what to what changes do anticipate this offseason. Well cuts -- question Steve -- knows the first thing is to analyze and take a look at what we did in and before we decide. What direction we're going generally take a thorough evaluation of what what's happened and and were. Head into some areas. From a leak standpoint that are a little different than what they've been -- so what -- factor those -- as well sites say at this point right now there's no no specific. Immediate plans other than to. People who were Dylan and time that'll come out and I'd rather take my time in making that decision rather than Russian -- make a decision particularly when you have to.

How do you deal with the uncertainty of this. Possibly uncapped year in four year guys may not be free agency. Not only for your -- guys but other guys that you might be looking at around the only count that ultimately it to to figure out what you gonna do.

But -- that's a -- that good an interest in question and we we spent some time talking about that and not. Not as much as we will because we've been so immersed in our season -- our preparations with for beginning game standpoint but. On now that it's over and another round of the 2000 intense season that'll via. -- are some lengthy discussions and conversations about what the options are. And then ultimately will try to decide which one we think it's just that for us but it ultimately they get to do what's best for your football team and it's and it's hard to. It's hard sittin' in Foxborough and talk about what some other teams are gonna do or not gonna do or. Or what what they could do and then what should we do ultimately I think you have to decide. What's best for your team and and do it and then whatever they do they do well. Gotta be careful about making decisions based on what you think somebody else. It isn't fluid situation look could change for example -- look at what set rules now. Let's say they come up with some type of collective bargaining agreement and change sure yeah absolutely yeah it sure the rules changed than. Good decisions could be bad decisions bad decisions could be good decisions and that's. That that that makes it very uncertain and and again when you don't have to make a decision today. And might be worth it to wait until you really need to make that decision because something may change to -- you may get more information that it. I help you make that so I I think our thought process system. Go through our. Byways and analysis. Ter -- what's best than the things that we have to do will do and then the things that we have time to. Before we have to make those decisions will probably take that time NC. If anything changes a lot of it but there's that we have no idea. Along one step away just elected picture thoughts and collected in you know relaxed -- can make rational decisions. Well and hopefully a few days or so.

Well we have a thoroughly enjoyed our -- with you here during the entire season that. As were wrapping up the decade but hell of a decade -- as -- when you when you get a chance to get some time away you can look back at some of that maybe. For a couple of those dvds in there and I think broader look back at this and say. There was some phenomenal moments there was some bounces yesterday was certainly right but there was some that was pretty. Pretty high moments there.

Right there were an active and nobody's more disappointed in what happened yesterday than than of the team isn't and its oil fans and knowing we are still terribly about that. It's in the books of W do but look ahead and move forward and that's or try to do that. The support we've done as has been great and but fun being on here on Monday as most of -- Appreciate all support from the fans and analysts owners out there and you can. Be sure that we're we're gonna work out Harden and long to have to try to make the improvements that we can help our football team in the and try to keep them.
