We we asked Jeremy this question Charlie in in I'm curious because you live here in town your part of this community day by day. What's your cell phone been like track and get tickets in this thing and by the way happy new year happy new year -- and you can thank you. We have had an unprecedented number of calls me myself personally have gotten calls from people I haven't had spoken to in 510 years just. Out of Lou email your name in and out every team that they've found me and and and and in most cases I try to accommodate the best I could. -- the beauty of it is is that the Bruins have the entire Boston sports landscape today -- it. I mean there's no Celtic there's no patriots there's no Red Sox thoughts though the Bruins -- the center of the Boston sports universe and for hockey fans that's pretty cool. -- feels great you can -- this is New Year's Day when I think back is this a kid there was college football and for the past three years now or this about supposedly the third one. It's it's hockey and it's here today in Boston which frankly just you know but so warm fuzzy to be candid in my in my mid section. Those of us who've been hockey fans have always felt -- I'll speak for myself a bit of an inferiority complex in this town you know compared to the other sports. On a day like this there's no backseat. Anywhere where right there and everybody else today don't think German always -- you use.

It better than I could about it -- and today it's -- the last couple weeks and I think it's gonna go for another week -- so. This this this offenses is taken on a real life of its -- and it's extended itself beyond just New Year's Day while this is the culmination. There's so much activity going around it and I think the White Sox and the commissioner for getting that done. But they fans here are the guys that are really driving this and I mean listen to them out there there's Cheney and staying in that's that's spectacular. The the alumni and legends will take the ice tomorrow but the beauty of that is that -- for people who weren't able to get tickets for today because it was a pretty tough ticket. You can still get the opportunity to see game at Fenway and and see some people -- you look at to see skate very often I think the alumni and chair earlier error. It's a great Obama participating in tomorrow's events. You know ray was on the docket -- and made that the world junior champions right so he's out west but. We've got Cameron nifty and we've got to you know be -- this real characters that are gonna skate with us we get some great needs. Yeah still. But it's of the fun. Has Charlie got bumped into and he said he took them several days to get over it out there but yes. Well I saw when you guys -- skating -- the united after the opening -- here and I and I saw Bobby out there and re out there are and a note. Just seeing those people out there and Bruins uniforms kind of warmed my heart anyway Kevin you don't get to see those guys very often this is this is gonna be seductive for all -- some the other not to Chicago home and buffalo had a but I think this is seductive for every. Every franchise in the league now hi how you gentlemen see this building out. And I obviously it's going to be remain a January 1 staple on NBC but do you do you see it. More than one a year more than one a day. Well -- who's gonna chart the course on the some time ago it it looks like there's going to be an event in Canada. Every year of but it can do I don't they'll be close to date January 1 day maybe step away from it. And I see there being one in the US and probably -- in -- going for the next few years -- and beyond that. Whether gross and so I mean one for experience in all weather issue like we were dodging here T run the risk jail and so I think that'll be it but. I think NBC is his gut and got. A real. Something to build on now whether or not it will carry out in issue get further away from the northeast. And time will tell but I can see some.

Great location sport that's one thing that happened right after buffalo the commission came out said it's time. Not sure we're gonna do this every year I'm not sure this is an event that happens every January 1. And I think the attitude and don't carry just left the -- we should've asked him if does he think this is gonna happen every year is that I get the feeling after the success we've had in Chicago on what I hope to experience here today. This really more stable event. Could you guys ever see this as an All-Star game.

And outdoor All-Star game that we wouldn't be January 1 obviously tremendous idea I really would probably would build on that although. People look at. I don't think anybody really looks at All-Star game is being a game. As a company to right its all weekend event then and I'll I mean it's that the that the type of checking and I was just doesn't exist in that environment so. I think it loses some of -- where there's two points lending. You know out there right now and we both want to. It's what I was here and when the baseball All-Star game was here and the night before he had the home run hitting contest than all that stuff and I just that they had had always envisioned. In other skills competition on the night before in this and the All-Star game on a Sunday afternoon. And the more I see it here at Fenway the more I think man. And NHL All-Star game in Boston to be a pretty cool thing. I -- care access that's very commissioner miraculously we can sell them on this all think give me nuts and bolts here what you think here of your hockey team and I know. As Peter surely pointed out earlier unfortunately haven't seen your whole hockey team very much so far what do you think of them if you animal altogether. I'm I think we're challenge right now -- firm more than expected to be I thought to coming into this year we would. Jump higher and faster of the box we have. They've -- up and they played up and down. That's great hockey team in every no that by the pointing out last year whether it's gonna keep going I don't know why I. No it's a question I am with Peter in cam and others in the the whole brain trust that runs and Charlie is well. I'm I'm wondering we're six we're six weeks removed -- from the ultimate NBC sports event which is the Olympics. And I know on a personal level of ownership you haven't been high on the -- do you do you get a sense that among other owners. It's a possibility for 2014 are we we gonna -- the last of the year in 2010. It. I'll take all.

And that really to be candid when it's happening a foreign country really needs to speak to our audience. Now there's other issues apply them as a lot of course that that needs to it to be discussed I know the players in the PA it would. Really like to participate and it's I -- just I get that I understand that. I I think at the end of the day though this is it in negotiations gonna have to happen between commissioner. And and to whoever the respective head of the NHL PA is at the time.

Jeremy is it fair to say that the NHL hasn't gotten the bomb from Olympic participation that many people expected going into this process I think it's fair. I think there are myriad reasons why. You're putting some pretty highly paid talented people. Who really make this business go here look in Boston. Now at risk on an item that is not very meaningful to them as the sport. I mean to to to to how we only -- up I think the the time difference which Charlie. Spoke about is a very serious issue doesn't really appeal to our fans. If our fans want it and I think that's the biggest question will be asking for our fans want it I think we'll do it I but I think that takes the fans around thirty. Thirty franchised locations to speak out say they want it because the end of the day there's going to be thirty guys here and decide this and that they're reach gonna purpose and a team. Boston Boston's got its enthusiasm very much under control and that's one. That's a nice way to put it up.
