I start with -- weekly session with the president of basketball operations. Of the Boston Celtics Danny Ainge joins us mr. -- are you today. I don't it was a great and we try to figure all of the stuff out puritan was talked about a lot here in the -- the last hour I find it. Quite amusing that people are suddenly. Going to the old well saying that these guys are -- played fourteen games I mean I hoping to get worn down a look at how old you mark. In fourteen games you don't think it's got anything to do with -- AGB -- it.

I don't think -- I I think our team is. Has played well and a lot of scenarios and its -- we haven't been as consistent -- shoot the ball covers a lot. The week we have been hit a lot of fairways but we're make it our pot are good and governor numbers up a lot scrambled -- right now where a shot or two shots awaits some Mets winning these games and -- that we which -- the ball report out.

I -- not give it. But you're not you're not happy you can't be happy with the defense that this team -- point to this point.

I have been happy with that the defense we played. It'll lot of distract but I think if we get off the and we get lazy and you know these -- focus at that defensively. You know statistically were doing well defensively.

I don't you know that that it's that's a Lotta times will. Will lie out there let me ask you about. Rondo because you know light I think he's a terrific players are very unique. Point guard not at the conversation with you before I don't even mind if he can't develop a great outside shot of what -- make free throws. I -- things that worry me one I don't see him playing the same type of pressure defense at the point and to. I don't -- the feeling -- where you're offense really opens up inside. Where he just breaks down defense is on that penetration is so creative you don't with a ball's going and you've got some great insights scores. I don't see him doing that as much he's not getting to the free throw line as much so that may be account for. And could these packets to the free throw line -- he's not making those free throws and he's a little bit timid about going in there is this same guy we -- last year.

I think he's got to play better. Is it last year I think it -- this is significantly better than last year. Yeah I think he's not getting the wind is -- a lot of that is we argued the ball inside more. Our post players and not relying on his penetration or shooting them much better -- get last year which says he's getting to the basket work. Despite getting the line -- that's about the could be shying away that we hear.

But it's really that's only shooting 33% the line don't take it's 44 shots there. That's half of what his average was per game. A year ago. You know it seems to be like he's a little bit timid about going in there and having to go to the free throw line.

Well Japanese shooting he's making he's not is that -- I'd -- a lot of baskets inside. Is scoring averages the same not naked beat those in each media partners and it so. I think it's. At a I don't think that he shying away at it we may -- spoke more -- I think -- and a more aggressive if this unity it much.

So where these defensive breakdowns is is Kevin Garnett not a 100% or not. Comfortable and you know doing all of those things that he did before the injury is that an an issue because certainly teams seemed to me as if they're scoring. Far easily that easier than they were in the past it you know inside who's just taken a multiple.

Well I think that there's a couple of things that I think that we we we've run into some teams that have played more small ball. Any of doctors try to get us to continue to play our style. If we were playing in your -- series we may have different matchup on the court. I think doctors tried to get our big guys -- quicker players could have the advantage of that size inside. You know and right now that that quicker forwards have given this problem. At the -- position. Because -- account Arrington did yet. Not -- equipment and that went into that with that Toronto as an example there reached looters at the -- position. So you know I think that we're still. Trying to figure out. With the best match -- are but we also. Have been spectacular. At. He stretches this year and so I'm not not so much worried about it and -- about Rondo. We we need to make shots and and we sit there at twelve and two and that's how fragile make a couple shots here and there are I think that I still have a sense about our team. But nobody would be talked about.

They did a couple weeks ago we talked a little bit about Rasheed Wallace's. Percentage from three in the fact that he's gonna take those shots. If you make 33% -- 35% of mural more productive and you left to right now he's in a -- terrific -- at five out of 44. Is there -- point is what do you duty continue to stay the course with that.

The shots on the outside which is what we want him to do but. And that you've got an inside pass in the -- game. But ultimately he's gonna make shot he's been that kind of shooters whole -- he's he's been up and down. But you know that's sort of an 85 or eight or eight for 44 we have to win. And when he goes. Fifteen for 4418. Org or you know we hopefuls will never. Is it difficult when -- player who's joined the team despite defected to Rasheed has a great track record has won championships you went to different teams whether it was Portman to Phoenix. And how hard is it if you don't have that early success to to keep maintaining who you wire. With unfamiliar teammates is their level of confidence to have to personally have a new game to go ahead and say it's who I am okay used to me.

Yeah yeah Kendrick has played well he got himself Che in terrific addition in I think is competent is growing. He's have a good here for a I think that he's a good fit with receipt out of order and we had. A KG I think it or has been very bright spot so far this year.

Guys have already dropped three games at home which is unusual for one of your contending teams to see this early in the season three losses. To spend. Coincidence those of the games on the schedule ward do you see a slight letdown at all that.

I don't elected by you know we hot very hot -- Phoenix's in the midst of a great stretch of basketball and they played great at Bob we actually played well. That night against the and we -- a team on fire in its incredible shot instead of repeat that the post pretty yet. And in the Atlanta it is playing great there there have been if the hottest team in the NBA this year to this point. And that's how we play good the first half but that we can't let our guard down in the third quarter that battered as we've written every able to recover. And get that we thought we we if we axle that there. And then Orlando it -- navigates -- again I think it was or shooting. That was just the start shooting or support the pressure just now and everybody starts this -- unions and free throws in. That's a that's what happened in Orlando game in in -- we nobles. I think those the big question.

But I haven't had that lasting power of those who have taken you guys deep into the into the playoffs. They had Joe Smith in the equation you see a more mature. Atlanta -- team this year is this team that that you really have to be concerned with is not only are they athletic but they're finally getting it.

While. Actually gave up we get in the two years ago. And now and now they're you know two years older they've been together for vote at the same organize. But I really think that the biggest factor is going to be you know just those guys are habits of success -- And that we sort have a success it's easier to believe.
