What caught up fellows are you're doing great how are you that everything you don't good and seems like it's. A little bit empty would you normal Friday spoke out with the patriot and one.

I wouldn't be surprised if -- a few years it was blunt object or. You know just because of this. I don't think necessarily that -- smarter idea or that there's in -- Money. Endorsed and built this game. In London. You you know -- I felt like tell this story are my brother lives in England and I was over there in May. And we went to a went to look premiership would ever call soccer game. Manchester City in Blackburn and -- extend people at that game. You were murdered Tom Brady and it was ten for ten now. And so look I don't know what it's smart necessarily but right you know. That this said the owners right now in this league is hell bent. On making sure that they. Turn over every -- Try to make sure that they get enough money. Out of this week and they're not sure right now that there's a good American market other than watching -- without there. So I think they're gonna look very hard at one that I wouldn't be surprised that are 20/20 meters -- franchise there.

A great city I'll give I give it that it is one of the world's best cities that it would be entertaining the coverage team there wouldn't it.

Well it could be fun but logistical problem. Not just cellular whenever -- talk. Football people around the league they yeah. It's it's a nightmare. Just the thought of it both between that would play in London. Include that would -- to play. And I think the biggest problem. That there would be years that. Most likely the way that -- that would get extra -- work for me in London. Is that they would come over to the United States. Perk for two game road trip. And so it get how do you get into any -- rhythm. Color that I mean how would it doable it can seem. The -- advantage is tool to clean in London would be. I don't want a free monumental but they'd be major.

We saw one of the ugly as football games in a long time last week -- and Foxboro 59 zip. Patriots over titans. That wasn't bad enough to meet Peter -- right fill -- this has -- can. I think we'll be worse if you're titans fan and you see your head coach wearing a paid managers had to feel about that -- thing.

You know is as much as I like Jeff Fisher -- a much as I know he was trying to do something in the spirit and a moment. Two. You note to get a rise out of a crowd. But with -- huge mistake. It's shift you know your own your own fans. Art is broad enough about should be you know and six and then you're -- the bureau arch rival. With their former coach on greater interest. It didn't it it didn't seem right that I know Jeff attitude was sort of an eye rolling you've got to be it may well. I don't I don't think it's good I don't think -- players like it one bit so. You know that one of those things that I'm sure yet that you'll ever again he wouldn't do. Nor do I think it should color. Everything that he's done as the coach this team. And you know over the last two years you're one of the best team in the NFL but. It's -- I thought it was a mistake.

In trying to put this weekend's game in London in perspective I asked the question earlier on Michael and I were talking about this. If Tennessee played Tampa Bay this weekend who would you favor. --

Probably Tennessee. Because I think -- guys on the team. -- more people -- I think Tennessee we'll treat this scheme the way Oakland treated. Its game with Philadelphia last week. Remember. When eight days ago. One of the story in the NFL with Antonio Pierce going a serious radio saying that our game against the raiders felt like scrimmage. Well. I think it would be the same thing around tighten this week and that -- if you're -- man. If you had any pride in what you do for a living. You have got to come out. And play this game -- if you've ever played football game in your life. That and -- if he's got talent and can't but I think that white paper.

You know Peter before -- Thomas came here I remember reading some pretty good stories that you go to bottom and seemed like you really. Well connected with them now I wonder what's your take is on. Idealist Thomas being that a healthy scratch last weekend in what kind of look at a player do you think he'll be going forward. Well.

I have been surprised that he hasn't been the impact player that I thought he would be and whatever the reason. Eddie happened then. You know the real disruptive force that he was all been in Baltimore. I think. So the one point about him that I would make great now is that. Thank you YouTube have to look at them and say we in Baltimore. It is. Really -- A lot of very good player. Maybe not many great players forming a great foundation. We have very aggressive. Kind of nutty. Professor type of coordinator Rex Ryan. Who basically made his players allow players to go up the -- in theory. Unconventional -- And I think that the patriots thought. That they were getting. You know more of a more kind of a bigger thrill. In some ways. A guy who could rusher in the infighting and outside I think that. That comment what what comic picture don't think he's been in new England -- is the guy who. Really needs to be on the edge to wreak the kind of have -- that the patriots thought. He could Greek and so I I would. And obviously call it tenure in New England folk art disappointing. But I do think that something like this for both sides can be a little bit of slap in the face. Com and especially at you when he gained 59 nothing. You know the player have to be thinking well you know I have to basically. Prove that I can help this team win now and I'm sure it wasn't it was a it was a it was a hard bloated public -- not -- But I'm sure it was -- global let I also think that he's the kind of guy who has immense pride. In his play and I think he'll beat it kinda guy you'll come out played better because of.

When Jim zorn was told last weekend that his offensive play calling duties were going to be taken over by. By Sherman -- how close do you think he came to quitting.

I think he thought about it. Arm. Like a king quote no. Because right thing czar and feels like. Here -- is not here darn gratitude he is the classic.

I'm not a quitter. Mean and and I think if you truly are a quarter and it's not about you -- not an eagle guy. I think you're going to look at what their rates instead -- uncharted they would any sort of and sit well enough without is working. Let's give this -- try. My travel a -- dale is that if you remember that Washington offensive staff. In your bright guy let's say you're sure it's meant whose. You know bright young assistant coach. Hey you know in Munich and -- bringing it regarding this for a half year into retirement. And telling him. Telling the guys on the staff look we didn't think enough anybody on the stepped called plays. Were taken a guy out of retirement. Who doesn't even know are seen very well yet and Morgan have in called plays. I would have been a lot more comfortable I was a member of the raids in that picture they look -- Hampshire and center or whoever. Give this to try and keep sure Lewis in his advisory role I don't see how you make it seem better. If you have a relative stranger. Taking over the play calling your team.

This is a very difficult question and I didn't think it would be after six games. Who's the best team in the NFC.

Well. I'd say it's New Orleans but. I wouldn't be surprised. If it turns out to be Minnesota heard the giants when the giants get a little healthier with the giants have Eric Ross. And Chris -- And if they play if they have an opportunity to play one of those scenes. Outdoors. In Giants Stadium now the giants have the unfortunate. The page you know through the unfortunate strong this year. They're playing in New Orleans on the road airplane Minnesota on the road. And if the giants are one of the three or four best teams in the conference. They obviously in order to to have the ability to play that -- Either the divisional round game against one of those teams in the NFC championship to play those home they're gonna have them better record. Then those two teams and to me that's gonna be very very hard they're getting behind him now. And they've got one left to play inserted this round Robin and it's it's at Minnesota. In week seventeen. So I mean is they've got that they've got the more difficult. World but having said that I. I -- think right now and you can never tell weeks -- never looks like weeks sixteen in the NFL but right now. I would say I'd give New Orleans a little bit of an edge because you know guys that I don't know about you but I watched the fourth quarter. Of the Minnesota Baltimore game. And killed Rocco went out there on the field three times. On the on the vikings in ten minutes. They go the -- spurred this week. Could face obviously. Very challenging. Pittsburg came with a very good. After right now mean Ben Roethlisberger leads all NFL quarterbacks in passing yards. And they go to big on the -- probably about Antoine Winfield one of the top five corners in the league and certainly their best back and player. Who's gonna sprained foot so. I just think they are. I think they're gonna be a little bit of trouble on Sunday and I just I think right now overall. I think that I think that Portland is a little bit of a better team.

Peter I'm not sure that we've ever had this assembly. Off head coaching talents sitting on the sidelines is what we've had this year with groomed network aren't --

Yeah imagine the chip Pritchard gets. It's attitude at the end of the year -- Super Bowl coaches.

And and that's actually the reason why I think it's it's more likely than not. That that some owner is gonna go against convention and fire his head coach in the middle of the season. Because he wants first dibs at the guy that he wants and if he waits till after the season it's gonna be a pig pile out there.

these these guys are not gonna take a job currencies and unless something strange happens I'll tell you why. There's two reasons for that number one let's figure might chaining him you know why would you choose to take -- job in Washington right now. When they're probably isn't a quarterback of the future air you don't really know what structure is gonna be in place. And the more than that. You're gonna have to have not only a you're gonna be named the interim coach. And have to go through to charade of an interview process during the season you realize this summer but many people know this but right now -- if you change coaches in the middle of the season. And hire a white head coach. You have to go to -- ruled during the season now. In other words you have to interview a minority candidate now. And in addition to that year in an interview minority candidate at the end of the year. So it acts and that's saying I'm not saying that that's a compelling reason not to do anything. But if you're Mike -- him why would you limit yourself and take one of these jobs right now unless the money is absolutely foolish. If you're coach I would much rather wait because right now let me ask you this question. Would you rather have the -- in Washington. -- would you rather have the job in Dallas. I'd rather have throughout the ballot spears pitfalls and and and quicksand in both places. But I'd rather have Tony Romo playing quarterback for -- next year then picket guy. Todd Collins Jason Campbell Colt Brennan are whoever they draft because I think I can take. Tony Romo and I think I can win with them.

Peter I was surprised to see the news about Tom cable I had already. I just resigned myself to the fact that this guy I was going to be in a little bit of trouble what's your theory on -- what happened there and on him not being charged. With any count here.

Very simple that the Napa Valley prosecutor didn't think that he could prove the case. You know. It reminds me. You know sometimes it -- ever heard in in police cases the blue Walt silence. District this reminds me of the black all of silence you sank. It's you're gonna get any greater official who is being met -- littering and he answered and Tom cable. Ink you're gonna get hit anyone you think you're gonna get Willie Brown. Who is in the room at the time to go to a federal could go to work county prosecutor and say yep. Yet there you know -- head coach punched him in the -- are not seen any bickering didn't what I'm saying let's cup the beginning. It's gonna be a case it was going to be very hard to prove and it could became. But he said -- says -- he could he said tight case. I don't see howl. It was gonna be provable. Just from the standpoint of one guy's word against somebody else.

But that one guy has a broken jaw I mean you know how do they think he. He's just well it's.

You if you read what the statement as if you read what this statement has -- evidently according to the prosecutor in his opinion. -- Where a punch wasn't thrown but the guy who was leaning back in his chair. Spelled backwards and hit his head in his jaw it is -- something and so. You know it doesn't say you know it's it's obvious from reading the prosecutor's statement. That he believes that there was some incident but it didn't rise to the level of cable punching the coach in the dark.

As we watch these baseball playoffs and there's more and more talk about using instant replay for home pot of umpires in certain circumstances. I always think of the NFL what do NFL officials think of instant replay.

I believe at the end of the day. The if you -- the seventeen crews there's one extra crew. So that every crew wins eighty -- and every crew gets at least one by a week during the year one weekend off. If you polled all seventeen crew -- And you had a secret ballot my opinion is that they would come out slightly in favor of instant replay. Because I think the audience -- played goats. Is it prevents most officials. From going down in history is -- bank. And you know for the listeners who are old enough to know that and darned thing in -- made a call that followed. Street Louis Kansas City World Series game that followed -- for the rest of his life. And -- very very negative way and I just think. I think even though. It's it's intrusive and it isn't something that all -- and makes officials look good. I do think that. That that most officials will say. I see why it's here and it prevents -- sometimes from making fools of ourselves and and -- say one other -- there. I think. As much as we get officials and we all thought the that Baltimore going to win game. I left a lot to be desired. In terms of the way it was appreciated on what was called. I've got to you know I wrote this in my column Monday I I've got to hand it to -- artillery. In me in the New Orleans. Giants game on on Sunday. For thoroughly explaining that. The most maddening thing out I'll -- you guys it is not an official. Says after further review the police they at first they have Minnesota. I mean you know that's madness explain caused quite a place that a couple of years ago Mike -- started making it official. Be a little bit more experience about why a plays Peter -- overruled or expands. And if you listen to -- hockey league and -- even on YouTube now it's almost like opening statement the legal case. Air -- in the early explains why he made certain call so that you don't know fans know broadcasted a media person. -- can be thinking or why -- you bet. That can meet should be the end game for all officials all umpires. They wanna get the call right and in the case of a close -- controversial call they want the people at home of the people in the current -- why they made the call.

Peter wanna talk to about the jets to start off three you know we look great. Since then no victories. What's going on there which Europe analysis of their their problem.

Com. Now there are some people in New York cool saying. That Mark Sanchez is got too big for her britches and them. He's got a little too full of themselves. Well I'm -- just tell you what happened there it was a two weeks ago today that it was two weeks ago yet two weeks ago today. Leonard three weeks ago and AM -- when I was -- In New York before the jets. We're going to New Orleans to play the strength. And yeah my assignment was to do Astoria. You know mark -- from the get you know more marks and terrorism -- And -- two things one. He refused. To go through a long individual interview with cookies set I haven't done anything yet. Com and I refuse to set myself up as some cover boy. They're photographers and that's -- called in tried every way to go get the pose for a photo now he wouldn't do it. So I ended up spending and about nine minutes -- of that day alone at the jet facility. So at an end at and and so for people say that. Sanchez's eBay easier you know he's enjoy the -- of labor too much. He is that he's not going on out you're darkness -- on page six for the post. You know this guy is doing his job it's just that when you were young player in the NFL. And you're gonna have some ups and downs they're gonna come early in your rookie year it's totally unnatural. Could do what VMware you know it could do what Matt Ryan did last year. You're going to have some headaches early. And I have a period three game peer agreed to a one touchdown and eight interceptions like you about now. The different -- I think Rex Ryan has decided in the jets have decided internally. If he struggled at -- Clement is not moving the ball on the spur of the ball the wrong here. I think they'll put Kellen Clemens. Not to say that they have doubts about interest or anything like that that they feel like they don't wanna feed into the world. And just make it -- say he you know you know we made this decision -- stick with them just because respected. And and the one other thing. Losing Chris Jenkins on net defense you know one when Rex Ryan would not have -- he's not a dark Kelly -- in Baltimore. He would always tell me we're totally different defense we can't do we like and do because we don't have one Garrick walking up the middle. And that's the same thing with Ludacris Jenkins gone. I think the jets become you know twelfth fourteenth -- been a leader on defense they become significantly more -- which. And they don't want this to happen but it's even gonna put more pressure on interest.

Will watch at halftime of the BC game tomorrow. Is now however it -- around here it's it's it's the BC game right.

Yeah yeah that's right here edit what are you -- Arctic could be interest. BC wins. Here in BC wins he beats Notre Dame absolutely. Can be seen if editor bought at scares me -- well probably not but can Notre Dame defend anybody. Look at the numbers they're passing yeah right now I know I know.

You know I don't know much of anything about college football great you know that. I watched the last cap for the fourth quarter that gave last week USC Notre Dame game this tremendously exciting. And I guess -- went through need to be. You know a guy who's gonna get picked that they want a -- whatever. Did they Watergate configure the graphics heated up three -- quarterback and now I'm thinking that he makes all the throws and I didn't like we ended that game. You make all the throws I really think now he's he's a borderline first round pick.
