In the second third and fourth round about a -- we'll go out and and watch those guys perform for the first time -- in real competition against another team battle declared. It's on the matter.

It Gerri it's it's an excellent point and I I've been telling people this this pre season. That this thing there was most frustrating about last year to. We're actually never all on the field together during pre season and that that jets came the first game this is a bad infamous jets gave. In the meadowlands was actually the first time. That the three of the more on the field together and the whole lot Spence was on the field together to those three in particular renegade course were new to the team. And the one thing that I don't think parliament and all the guys on the offense rests western -- the offensive line. Tom Brady going forward with this football team in your mind and we heard those numbers for Eli Manning would you think.

You Eli is our quarterback -- rookie do those values and of the last year of this contract. And he's won a Super Bowl one but I wish you hadn't won both one but he did. And M problem. It's as everybody that they're positioned him in the league win. He contract's role would -- do is deal. It was in the upper Echelon of of the quarterback feels and that's what happens is contract's role -- people come within a year to a common market. You look at what's going on in the market you read that person that did not rank them but you look at that person relative to the other people they're positioned. And and you figure out what makes cents both for the club under the salary cap in the player. And Eli Manning it is good quarterback in the primary his career with a Super Bowl win a big marketed and -- the space so that franchise. And and they did. I've not even -- alerted to -- the largest -- close -- the largest -- but I think that's probably what you'd expect people are having to make. And and Tom Tom when. We don't talk about the contracts publicly you know but obviously that helps to -- to markets quarterbacks in general I think that's an accurate.

What we we've been discussing Michael Vick for weeks and if you noticed this kind of a big topic around the country and and some guy is a respected guys in -- John Clayton was one prove the patriots in the mix and some people to shut it down immediately in the and the reason and and I I don't believe he's coming here because you got a quarterback he's gonna go somewhere where you can play. This is the general on our team.

And certain Michael you know you are you involved in dog fighting it anyway have you -- And he looked the commissioner effectively his boss the man who governs his business in the eye and told them no. Is interviewed did something egregious were called in to true leader Jason's officer however that works and you did that. And you look them MEI it was a direct question and blatantly lied to them I don't know how much longer. You know you would be employed now -- that happened a few years ago. And and you start as time under the judicial system but I do think that big creates a cloud that people have to think about the patriots are not in the market. For the starting quarterback we've we have one we have to have only one that we liked to have right now so. If it is it's sort of a misnomer and I think that things -- out of control and we don't comment really. We don't comment ever about players were looking at -- think about because lots of things run through these officers and we don't wanna ever have to be in the position. Commenting about things publicly. Related to those situations because it can hurt you. From a competitive standpoint. That being -- You have bad didn't -- It never -- my mother I I know some good came up with Christian Peter but my mother would not being -- understand football talent and and she never does -- about those types of things.

The -- as far as you know if there are three or 45 and I'm sure you do or don't -- the number or not but teams that are inch convict. Is -- a scenario where you know team acts. Team why testicle all the commissioners say how do you want this to play out is -- perfect way that the league looks at integrating this guy. Aside as a player any player where there may be some extraneous type of circumstances around it. I don't think it would be out of character for that team to coordinate with the week off it's not necessarily. On the financial. Terms of the deal. But on some of the other elements of a contract in the ultimate announcement so. It's David does side Michael Vick will only be in touch with the league office my guess is they very well might be. But I think that happens more more then. Then you would think.

But changing the subject to people who were here and are now gone -- them up players but I'm wondering how the relationship continues. With -- valued members of your organization of moved on and gone other places. What does the relationship continue to be you know front office ownership with say Scott Pioli and Kansas City or Josh McDaniel in Denver do you feel sorry for Josh all the trouble remembering how does that relations has changed since they left.

Well -- this cut back -- Josh. Boasts. They've both been amazing contributors to disorganization. During their time here. And they're both people that we think of Bob Brady from the top down and we consider them extended members of the family demoted. Other cities and I think part. The idea of leaving -- taking over your own show would you go to take over your own show would have different ways I think both Scott and job -- caught on to do that. The fact that bad job is open probably means there's a little more instability. In those situations. Then doing various here. I think both of them are very very capable football people. And and my guess is they've given given the time in the resources spoke both be very successful. And as wonders about playing the patriots in the blog is it doesn't have a negative impact on the patriots. I think everybody in this building to be rooted for.

New business -- for the lotteries bring in new players to the game a different type of situation. We told him that the week unfortunately didn't allow it and over that period of time the other sports leagues broke down and the state lottery did very successful games with them -- from that time treasurer -- Actually spent a fair amount of time talking to have FL officials he runs. The most successful lottery in the state vision gathered in the country this state lottery and I think he was able to help. Play a big role in convincing believe. A lottery gave. We're gonna have -- bell logo but having nothing to do with the outcome of game but the performances of individual players to makes sense. And could actually especially difficult economic times return an awful lot to the staple watery. I think in his tenure has returned something point six billion dollars over the last five years to the cities and -- so we created it gave. Distrust when the week finally did go out we wanted to create a game there was some like any other.
