Thanks John what they've all around baseball feel reps they began being hailed the as a genius for pulling off especially the Victor Martinez trade.

Yeah we've received word that one of the Yankee announcers described that is effectively larceny stealing Victor Martinez as from the the Cleveland Indians it's it's a trade it was rumored for a long time and we we think the Red Sox probably also. We're very interested in acquiring Cliff Lee may be as getting to those guys were able to pry -- Martinez. Who's a terrific -- great hitter for a long long time he's always hit well at Fenway Park and he's always do well against the Red Sox. It'll be nice to see victor who's hitting third tonight by the way hitting for the Boston Red Sox.

Last night it was very emotional about leaving Cleveland the only organization he's ever known but today he was flying high. I came into the clubhouse and looked around and -- of this great. Players in. And I was like man you know while you know in my lap and everything that I am going to be playing. And I 1990s. And an -- led the league level like Boston. And then basic Casey Kotchman the island I guess a lot of it did today with for I don't know -- to do with the fact that that they think -- going to be better coming off the bench.

Behind the plate but at first base he handles himself quite well and the feeling seems to be this well how Jason Varitek stay healthy. Jason is a lot more beaten up that I think most people realize he's been carrying some. Nagging injuries over a period of years and gets old worn down -- all. Of of the concentration. Effort. And the passion and he puts ending his job nobody works harder on Red Sox -- this for years. The Jason Varitek does it catching but it's very very true noted the interesting thing will will be how quickly Victor Martinez learns the the pitching staff. How he would -- and if in fact he might catch Tim Wakefield because not a Red Sox have to effective number one catchers is there room for George to terrorists. It all depends on how many pitchers the Red Sox elect to carry but George -- terrorist may wind up being the odd man out.

Meanwhile the Yankees picked -- Jerry Hairston from Cincinnati because. Great gardeners her but they did not address their pitching issues and the New York Post among others reporting that house Steinbrenner. Put a spanning the lid on the Yankees that's very surprising when their payrolls already 209 cent million dollars.

it's stunning so you know if you're talking about another 67 or eight million dollars more does that make that big a difference but apparently even for the Yankees there is a limit. Will that comeback and haunt them if they don't go on to go deep in the playoffs or win the World Series are they going to look back to this trade deadline and say. Man we should have shelled out another X million amount of dollars just to make sure they put us over the hump. Are you surprised Roy Halladay stayed put Toronto now not at all I I didn't think there was any way that he would ever be traded inside the division inside the American League east. And that takes a very heavy hitters the Red Sox among them out of the running I think that talks got pretty close but again JP Rashard eight. Wanted so much you wanted to be -- and no one was walling him particularly inside the division.

While many American League central some strange was a White Sox get Jake Peavy even though we don't know when he can pitch because he's been on the DL -- ankle problem. I think that the twins did a good job Orlando Cabrera is hitting the ball great right now defensively he's having an off year he's made a lot of errors. That won't go over well in Minnesota with the bat certainly will and they need someone to charge them to get back into that race. And really get in the hunt is a rod -- always seems to have him ready to go. Come September.
