Let's talk a little bit about the game before we get to the Hall of Fame stuff and I'll -- you wrote today on Monday morning quarterback you think this is the greatest Super Bowl game ever stick him of that.

Yeah I this morning. Idea I just went back and looked over all the summaries of all the the Super Bowls just because I wanted to make sure it wasn't making any. -- precipitous judgment on this. And I'd I'd feel pretty good about that I mean have been games that. I thought we were really compelling games and interest in games that. It came down to -- and a son Evan Moore and thought you know like last year's game. Here's Giants. Patriots game I think was. Extremely compelling because of the eighteen you know one. And all that in the great Giants drive. And the great play -- Avery. I guess I just feel in this game compared to that one. That there are more. Big plays clutch plays. Made. Its huge times. Then there weren't last year's game in. I did you feel look at the you look at the Harrison play and I think that's going to go down in history is the best defensive player ever made in the Super Bowl game. And then. Eat eat eat eat you know we're like three times in the fourth quarter I -- the game was over -- First up the Steelers are going to land and accepted the Cardinals are gonna win at night but the Steelers are gonna win again and they did but not before wondering did very interesting -- regret. Really close not not rebuke call so. Anyway it was. I thought it was really fun game and a great game were a lot of great players make great plays and and obviously one little side note I know that. We've gotten into -- not get into a ball Ayala. Almost everybody around the country about Kurt Warner calls same. Status and all that but. I was just I was so impressed. With the play of both quarterbacks. I mean Ben Roethlisberger completed 70% against the really strange blitzing. You know. Deep sense it clear he -- in the -- Adam. And then -- Kurt Warner. Throwing for basically. You know more than double. Steelers averages here you know against against the pass and so it's just. -- Robert -- played three super doubles. And he's gotten more passing yards than any quarterback in Super Bowl history. In more than Joe Montana in his fourth games more than John Elway and his five games so it. I guess I thought they were so many interest in anger about that game like yesterday.

before he came -- Peter we were talking a little bit about the officiating how do you feel. The officials did yesterday.

Are there a little bit cheeky text. -- But I thought they don't go over to a street pretty big calls knock that safety call was a big copy -- it was -- basically meaningless call an -- might help Steelers get Bennett field. Eight you know it it it might help them you. The Cardinals. -- field position. Then if -- Steelers had the part. You know from a short end zone. You know from me eight inch line or whatever but. I thought the safety was a good call. Up every first hole early on the was a good call in the end when -- wade through basically carried them. Well -- into the end zone that was a good call it that was overturned because even if it when he wasn't down. Basically year even though refs ever call it anymore they're not supposed to be able to carry somebody else.

About roughing after. However up in the past Roethlisberger and -- and and personally all get the holder I hated those called.

Why was it a personal value -- steamrolled -- more that you added to. -- automated.

And government. I don't believe there is called talking about this a spark if they came up. I did not -- called running into the holder there's only called running into the kicker. Now I haven't spoken might forever but I think there's only one call you can make your. And and you know I'll tell you this cycle even if even if there -- call which I am now sure isn't if there were called running into the older. I mean. You know he destroyed Mitch -- and -- it looked to me like he tried very hard to hold up their -- Speed as it may I didn't think that roughing the passer call on Roethlisberger and expanded that drive. Just sort said before a -- calls I thought that was definitely on now. The last eight at eight the last let's Cardinals play the game it's getting a lot of attention today. -- I have a problem that call -- you why because. I think that what happens in case like that would merit a change of possession like them. They're going to -- time. Forward that won't read you work you know the official upstairs. To take a couple of looks at bat like. Because serious change of possession it's not like. Your -- and forty seconds between the slaves. So. I mean and I look at that play. You know -- start twice in slow motion. It's arguable that his arm was going forward like did not think it arm was going -- And I think if you looked at that twice. Which the blue streak you clearly had time to do. And you don't see ample evidence Kyoto. You know keep looking at a I don't think you should be happening so even those things bother me much but. A couple of holding call or -- were -- right you'd think that pass interference call. That benefit Roethlisberger. Eight.

I just have -- three from every rule book here appeared there is a call for roughing the holders for roughing the kicker or holder. Loss of fifteen yards from the previous spot for running into the kicker in loss of five yards from the previous spot no automatic first down I just like. What why why would why would Adrian Wilson want to take -- the holder because he was frustrated and --

No banking committee tried I don't how to wind hell I don't know and I just know what it appear now out of -- is they're also wanting. The kicker and a hole in running into the kicker.

Not always just running into the kicker and there's roughing the kicker and roughing the holder.

Okay well then. There's nothing older fifteen yards. I -- I mean look at that play again eat in the big. And I I don't know I don't I couldn't eat at Ike hit there's nobody of the game was you know about the outlook cloudy out.

I think -- I don't see it that way but I'm so glad I'm so glad that that play. Didn't didn't turn the game I'm glad Arizona was able to hold there I.

Yeah they -- held onto a field goal anyway.

Yeah I would hate to see the Super Bowl turn on on the roughing the whole round site just felt so weird to me but and.

He's now I mean he appeared the other thing. We worked -- it. Our overtime. And I think everybody thought this is going to be what gives the order get the overtime rule change. Because. The overtime hole it -- you know one possession. Game overtime. And let it Steelers head coach art because -- hadn't touched it. Everybody would have been up -- I'd hate to say it but. I would really -- that I would -- overtime going to coin -- so we finally could get some sanity of that rule.

Peter on the biggest play of the first half the interception and 100 yard return for a touchdown by James Harrison. How much how much blame you give Warner how much credit the give Harris.

Well -- I was really interest thing I'm a replay. Reason that the Steelers are so good right now. Is that. Got 828. As much as parents then and up. And end Lamarr Woodley way you know other heavy your guy is. He almost outside linebacker or a little bit lighter you know obviously but I mean -- at least 262. -- What's good about bed in my opinion is that you've got big guys who have really quick. If you watch the replay it looked like. Paris and -- And -- it -- Just barely after Capuano would have known where he was going. So to meet I give -- more credit that I criticize one on that play or because. Upgrading what happened on that why I was -- and that somebody -- Cardinals after what happened on that why. Is that you're supposed to have our spacing. Between your slot receiver. And the line of scrimmage. So I think. That if he ate an -- sodium pentothal last night Eddy are there any talk freely about that he would -- said that it squad -- You know when he won't -- that time he was looking for the ball. Would still too close the line of scrimmage and still too close to the tackle box in essence so. L. Carson was was able to get a better job than he should have been able to get.

You think about players and teams of the 21 century it's obvious you know Peyton Manning has won 3M VPs. This century Sally you might being seen as the quarterback individually. The quarterback of the century but how will the Steelers be viewed win. They went to super balls and a four year period in the 21 century and the Patriots went three and three out of four who's going to be that. That team that defines. That the decade.

Well I mean I don't think we really know ready yet because wedding next year. You know I think either team could land I've -- if I had to put money on eighteen to win the Super Bowl next year. I put the Patriots sent and and Steelers in some order on two side and that's going to have some to do that I don't want to most interesting thing I was thinking in the wake of that game last night. Is that. You know it is only how the Steelers are perceived. To the outside world I think that some people in Pittsburg I was doing it last night out I skirted the bank okay. Wouldn't be -- a safe bet. Steelers have better then the team of the seventies. But it's interesting that in an era when you can't keep your -- En -- response 26 having won two super all scary part show one. His second Super Bowl at the age of 27. There's some real interesting comparisons between those teams. And I understand that Swann and Stallworth made the Hall of Fame and and it's sacrilegious for some reason to compare. Almost ten and war -- world but. Ecuador retire so have more catches and Swann and Stallworth combined. And to meet that would -- Lynn Swann catch. That Santonio Holmes great McCarty and so last night you know ballot I thought. So. -- I think now I think they're very compelling theme of this still young enough that they can win a lot of what. And then be an argument who is the best team and -- they are the Patriots bury her Steelers.

Let's talk a little bit about the Hall of Fame you wrote extensively about it Monday morning quarterback today. I don't know given what you've been doing all day today if you've had a chance to see the stories out of Dallas. Bob Hayes was elected to the Hall of Fame. One of the things that was referred to was a letter from Bob hey nice. Presented by his sister quote on quote you know if the ever made the Hall of Fame. It turns out now she's a -- she's not his sister. We're not even sure of Bob Hayes wrote the letter to begin when I'm not sure that's what cinched it but it does kind of put a damper on his selection announcement.

Well that -- was never introduced. In that in the meeting -- and that had an -- absolutely nothing to do it I can I guarantee you that. I did not agree -- get into -- of -- I had an open mind area I just was not convinced that he belongs. I was convinced called concrete yet but I wasn't convinced that that Bob Hayes did because Brett hey I'm okay -- grown -- Connecticut. Every set every Sunday we sit down on TV is starting when I was seven or eight years old. And we've watched the Giants now obviously it Giants stuck in those days but I remember every Saturday being really excited about what -- Now hold a -- of the exact same player he's probably even a little bit bigger than -- he was a little bit bigger about eight slug. And he was a world class striker playing pro football. And I -- I don't -- I ain't that Bob Hayes was singular player. And that is what is being so he's not as singular player. He's in the Hall of Fame. And hump and -- find I don't meaning guys in the Hall of Fame good good for him I'm in good first family but that's our goal sister thing. I could care less mean now I've met that warm and Lucille Lester. She pleaded with -- to please vote -- further for Bob from all the same I thanked her except I would. Do vote my conscience which exactly what I did.

ask you about two guys who denied it and start with Paul Tagliabue and then continue on to Cris Carter.

Well you know Paul Tagliabue I've been a guy is presented them. Out for the last three years and I think it's probably -- somebody else to do the job because obviously extinct I mean it's getting worse every year. Comedian that's what makes sense that's the feel I don't know what the vote is because we're we're not told what the vote is but. Paul Tagliabue. Is just to -- he's just got she got shut out of the water. And I'm not saying it's without any reason everybody has some flaws on their resume. Great players -- flaws commissioner everybody has lost. I guess it it boggles my mind. Then in his last seventeen years as commissioner Pete -- led three strikes. Paul Tagliabue in his seventeen years as commissioner. As heroes strikes and yet one of the reasons clearly. Why he's not getting voted in is that. People believe that if there is a strike in 2011. Five years after Paul Tagliabue left are -- it should all be it should be August present. At my belief is okay put -- that's 122. Years. It you know and -- at three and again I don't think that the Broncos should be all there is a great commissioner. I just I find them a lot of things that are going on right now exists I disagree without of one person and forty form no. -- more important no less important so great I mean obviously. I'm not it would a good job presenting his case workers. I I'm I'm a little bothered either because I think there. -- thank you could argue that he was just the stat guy but I also think you get a couple of things really really well one of that is being. In my mind it has were -- and it's going to -- stern outlined. -- stealing yet he's the best boundary receiver I've ever seen in my life. The best guy on the sidelines the best guy in the back of the end zone he made you know he made fifty catches in his life that worst pretty. As to catch that Antonio almost late yesterday to win the super -- And so it's not just the guy -- the -- numbers he had I think he had great skill. But again I think there are those who -- gets diluted a little bit because of Andre -- I think they'd split some votes. And next year I think it's going to be really really ever going to be tough for him it's going to be tough for Shannon Sharpe. Because like Derrick Thomas took Eric -- number years. To get any got him just as we get but it took him a number years because I always feel like. Some people are voting not for the best I -- date -- some people vote. I -- well. Even their fight. That won't let let's say for the sake of argument Cris Carter better and Derrick Thomas he got problems Billups six here we want to give -- a shot. So anyway you look and those are all internal politics but. I think crime because Jerry Rice comes out next QB gives -- script comes out next year not going to get easier.

You know I -- ball on Friday it's dealer practice but I guess with one out so Isaac Dick ought to make sure -- got this clear. I've heard conflicting stories. Have you told your team that you're going to be back as court case yeah race I have no idea where that came from. It's absolutely false so we said the other night it -- meeting I told the team look. I don't want you taking any thing about this being my last game or anything like that I'm definitely coming back next year as well. Todd Haley I believe you'll be one of a number. Of interviews that Scott pioli does her job in Kansas City. I think he has a chance and I think we have a little tote board I'd probably have a number one but I caution you. That. That read anything into that because I truly don't know what they're going to do at Kansas City.
