A lot of people and the national media still haven't caught up of people in the national media. Still say oh there's no in the New England Patriots there are very old defense now. Got some guys on defense the gossip page on -- it's either I'm not -- I'd say hey it. -- has -- your friend over there at grant Jays exactly man oh man. And that just sort it out the -- will not given that exact moment Tigers lead was gone but they have a lot of young guys.

Guys and they help me out with a picture it's on the paper it's the end of the game there's a picture view in Vince with one of the refereed that you you're all laugh and was it because you actually went through a game without an accepted penalties what you want it's like it's souvenirs. Where it's I don't know how much we appreciated not calling personal fouls on that it happened -- class because all the ones we had last week's. At times you know we have a little fun if that's you know I mean -- after the game it's easier -- during the game too -- and -- can throw -- atom or something like that now. They'll laugh with -- everything that it can't get heated up there possibly as you can you can see from some of those photos we do have we do have. You know sort of -- respectful relationship.

With you that Tedy how do you guys leverage this do you leverage this as a team as as captains when you come out of the game. With no penalties you gotta go to Bill Belichick and hey this is. We gotta we gotta be able to use this for something no pads lately years yeah.

Sort of a bargaining chip exactly. We had a we had a short week last week after the Monday night game also and that there were there a few days there where we were sort of more mental dazed and physical days though. No hope that we we have we have we have more regularly this week -- I think our performance out there -- we have that of the average maybe you know maybe.

Did you put this into perspective though because we're just looking at the game notes 731. Game. Excuse me hats aren't 31 games in Patriots history in this is never happen you never gone through game no pictures teams that are not their game they'll.

Right I'm Sarah I'm sure the rounds might have been complaints about that I mean how how can we not to have a hole there. Defensive holding offensive holding something like that but we've been working on that we were working on that that's how we we may even last week. That more the penalties were personal fouls rather than procedural penalties or. Illegal hands penalties holding penalties and -- like that so we sort of just focused on Artest that's that's just keep our cool this week in May that we can we can limit that maybe one -- it to happen to be zero. Is this back to back weeks with the kind of intensity you want to see from your defensive unit. Yeah I mean you want to see I mean I think. Monday night last Monday night may may have been an exception because it was so election and now now is -- electricity that I hadn't felt in a long time you know and that. And yesterday was was also though the energy was up but you know there there was still two different games one was a blow -- another one was -- went down the wire so there there were different emotions after coming from us and from the fans but in terms of effort than in terms of you know hustling to the -- you know inning ending the game want to turn over like we did and so on that that's type of effort that we we hope we can sustain.

I'm sure he's going to a game thinking about what kind of games going to be especially if you're watching film and say this -- impressive and that's pretty good quickness. And then after a game you come out with. A new understanding of what she just went through what two the team just based. What did you come out of that game yesterday's game thinking about St. Louis Rams or some of the challenges some of the surprises that just are ready for.

Well all but even right before the game started we found out Jackson's. -- Jackson was down he's not playing and that sort you know he was 50% of their -- you know he was he was the big -- he was a pass catcher he did everything for the team and he's he's. But when we find out he's down Yi Yi Yi -- you try to think you know -- it is -- minor how is that going to bury their running game and so that's -- that's an adjustment we -- in -- coming out there so we went out -- anticipate -- there's -- but we think they're going to -- just play football. But after the game back to your question was I think coming out of that game from the Rams is. You know I think that they've -- new life from the new coach you know and under and I think that no they were playing hard it seems like they they needed a little bit of of a -- a little bit of a spark and maybe that maybe that coaching change has done that for them. They played us hard and they've got some players out there even without Jackson that really that really do play -- I mean Avery and I think he's in. He's he's he's a talent that's going to be. Let's start this week because of the attention upon just the performance he had with Macias I think he's around 160 yards receiving something like that so they've got some talent and Bulger and still make -- Rose. And I -- lawmakers act you know he's I think it looks like he's an up and coming and players I think. The St. Louis Rams fans and -- can look at that team this is maybe they have a little bit of new life and new coach and to -- that can really do some things.

On a reassess the dale great idea on the robot or execution and I think again I thought -- I don't want to be in the front that are robots. You have to kind of know with the defense this is probably going to change what they're going to do offensively. Did you feel at that point once -- Jackson was going to be out of the game did you feel like Bulger was going to throw more than you would have expected going into a normal game with the Rams.

We didn't bottom to what. I would reform just let you players. What these Schuettler -- they've been hampered mustard. The thing where we've started nor -- There's flaws would -- and where. Sort of the next physical guy you know those tough guys know them and we we were thinking or -- he's still going to want to establish some type of things to musicality with his offensive line and is running game because. To win a football game you can't just he can't just throw -- every ounce of that run was -- going to come.

When you guys were raving about the practice you had before the Denver game in in that transferred to the field. We able to have us -- similar week of practice before this game did you feel like it was that same type of field.

I think we came -- Friday thinking no this has gotta be that the practice that was little bit of pressure on Friday's practice like this has gotta be practiced where we've got a feel good about ourselves coming off the field and I think that that was -- were we sort of got our energy back got a -- had a great mental practice and I sort of put things together and think you know Q were rated though.

We weren't given the opportunity to talk with you last week but what I saw we can go what I saw yesterday were similar from you -- pretty physical guy anyway when you play. You seem to be -- Punishing people out there the last couple weeks a me and I just tackling guys.
