Well I think the one thing that you'd. It did learn is that yes the Celtics can dominate the sport like they did against Detroit. Then they have a good chance to win games and went in the series and I thought. There effort on the backcourt last night it was tremendous I think -- preferential. Was so what they're going to need to win this whole thing and I think helped overcome some particular stretches offensively and second have to -- ostriches eat sensibly in the first.

Coach does Cedric Maxwell I just wanted to know from your opinion. Do you think is going to have to be -- of in the star players and win the series because it just seems like the star players on the get -- And that they have some of those French players to step up knock down shots or make -- the equivalent.

While I think it's both realistic and you get to this level you need to stars in stars that you also need not you know this separate from. Your case you need also your role players do on payrolls not trying to do more than they can do but not don't -- how hard on doing I think everybody has become through. At one point or another and so last night. -- great third quarter Garnett got off to a great start. Rondo chipped in and I thought the guys that really made a difference in the second after sensibly. For the Celtics it was PJ brown so I think we need a little bit of every but he can be.

He was slow it it was tender and he was in discomfort and all I think you can replace Sunday. I think you know he's not going to be clearly at a -- percent.

And the guy doesn't miss games and not like -- he's a guy whose only error by nature this guy wanted desperately. To be on a team. -- You know championship caliber team nobody is economy. -- in upstate it's so we make a miraculous comeback I mean you've got to think those things about those things still you know I'd stop by.

As a coach going into the next game. You know he's hurt you try to test him early on the ball game.

Well I think again -- is guarding Radmanovic -- anecdotal Radmanovic I think the beauty of LA offenses of five man off and everyone involved that we want moving without the ball. They're big it's all past so he's going to get tested just in the normal course. A big game by the way LA runs their offense. But I do believe even though he'll be a little bit sore. If he plays he can score he can draw double teams I think still be a big factor.

Coach out of the the -- they have really when you see a guy like Kobe Bryant is knocking down shots in the series before this. What did he do last night it was different other than you know not make some this just leave was that he wasn't as dominant or is aggressive last night in his roster.

Well I think a lot of jump shot to go back and check. You know obvious to 16 shots I would just -- probably want to work you know outside playing. And he's got the most we don't pull up jump shot in the week but I think on some nights publications you got to. Recognize -- for whatever reason the balls brought in and out static that they all the way to the basket and either finish itself and I think. As he looked back on this shots. You believed they were good pitch shot I'd do the wanting that would say -- and what those were good shots those are certainly make approach got. -- can you -- it even better shots than that and I think the answer is unequivocally yes.

Coach and -- in a series like this you know the spotlight normally on Phil Jackson and you know rightfully so with a -- that he's won but. How about -- the way he coach -- game last night. -- in this town you know. You look at the coaches in this town in it's all about Bill Belichick and -- has won his World Series and everything -- in effect car doesn't get enough. Recognition but but doc I think has taken thanks to a divide I just think he doesn't get enough credit.

I agree with that tiger Duke both in -- don't check. -- could beat this standard bearer for you know coaches in every sport guys that. Unbelievable success and what -- I think every coach would appreciate it didn't immediately or you know its first job was a great job. Didn't -- great. He got a second opportunity and he opted out of -- Francona of the Saints thank you know I agree with how does that -- acted credit and -- dot you'd think about it. Are you can't tell me he's that much better coach this year -- was last year I don't buy it I think he was very good coach. With very limited -- last year this purity -- very good coach. We're very good talent I don't think they have the best talent in the league but I think without question this year they played. Walk -- harder for walker in any other team. Coach you hear a lot right now about replacements other coaches coaches getting fired and moving on. Have you ever -- do you ever think about coaching again would you like to get back in coaching and though you love broadcasting. But is that that competitive juice several -- that you -- like you know what. I think I elected do it again.

Well I see myself as a as a coach more than a broadcaster. I see myself up we try to do it again in the future but went in the future I have no idea because they're really am last. Not only be broadcasting. But also -- broadcast. You know people that don't for a long time and respected like green and Marc Jackson. So and that way I have a really good and well reduce myself to coach in the future I think in the near future myself brought.

I'm just going to ask you that that exact same -- we talked about your crew few weeks ago. And I brought the point that I don't think you have a filter. Which is unusual for a coach that's who I'm saying it's good it's going into the broadcast Booth. And staying there it's not necessarily good for coach who's going into the broadcasting Booth and they get back in to coach. -- so I you do you have a concerted effort you going of their broadcast Booth every night. Saying I don't want to feel I'm not I'm not worried about my next coaching yeah.

Well you know I look at like this. I don't think about a whole lot you know I mean it issue it may -- should be more open water planner. What I see some then I say it now sometimes it's when I go back at him myself I believe I said that that's stupid stuff.

You know but. But you know what it's it's a couple players get upset by what it that I I tried what I've tried to do ever coached in New York in particular. Is -- apparent what I say I try not to be you know. Overly critical but I do try to critique what I -- or the how players play and techniques that they -- used to you know do it better. And try to. I think that coaches and I look at this way is -- in the broadcast myself but think that the players know when they're playing well players know when they're playing bad. And I think that when you say that they're playing bad if you give them -- instance. In you give them circumstances where you know the effort was not there. Or you -- done this how can they argue that point with his right -- black and why must their wives or girlfriends telling about Russia about that.

and you know I think you're right on that though I think. And the players I have respect for the ones just like you know as coaches you have to accept. They don't all have great you know have great day every -- some dates everything you do is write some days. He came to that your own way. You know you're -- to tell the truth I think. What I was tired. There locally indeed discussion about like you know how to go about it that's what we want -- You know put me out there with market might have really get a start -- got -- used and so that wasn't really any time like.

You know what I've I've felt this with -- you could say. I need good things as the if you mention one thing in the it's that want to stick in everybody's had. I want an overly critical officials I would go to I've rarely get keyed up George proper was the only one ever -- me out of the game. But you know what. I I I can't stand what I hear people say -- officials have no impact on the game they have a huge impact on. In particular basketball because. I don't care -- difficult for alternate football they are on the next hole and it'll like pitched well for the rest negate that you -- out by holding call in the NBA. One blown call as a huge impact on the dynamics of the game if you -- 2000 and a refereed in the in the first quote the call and now you have to worry that -- to -- which lead to. A direct impact how the game plays out from there are so there's three groups had a huge impact on the game. The spot on the floor reached team. And three officials and our officials in the NBA all the best officials but that doesn't mean they're infallible and that doesn't mean they should be above. Being critique just like the players in disliked coach.

Coach -- speaking of that. Talk about that political called against San Antonio. Two when Derek Fisher Cameron failed them on Barry and they did not make the call in the NBA folly came back late on and said you know what that was a foul. Well would you surprised to see that the NBA came back in and said that.

I was surprised because. That's the slippery slope because if you're gonna say that was about it you. We're just coming out publicly insane we missed that one we missed this one weakness that went. Here's -- if if the NBA which just acknowledge what all officials -- now is that they're gonna call last two minutes gain differently. They're going to make it to beat -- and they're going to have to have clear and tight -- that there was without committed that I would have no fault them. Haven't had no call there but if they're going to say that there calling minute want the same as circling minutes 48 the bank. -- that was a definite style in any war of the re official level or political there was. And I just my problem I think sometimes what's so -- potent players they refuse to acknowledge. As as the troubles.

Have you been surprised about all the bad calls.

Now I think he -- actually up supplies that there are war. Blown call up supplies that they get the number of calls right they do what old guys go in the air ball program. It's amazing to me how many -- get right on whether to call out what it's clean blocked or there was contact. I think the block charge call. He's nearly impossible call I don't like the fact that they're calling board or charging out I'd like to see him at first MBA. You had a -- a charge now that you walk away.

Are his welcome to look at the flagrant calls me want one call we'll we'll just tackle a guy that wasn't flagrant and that PJ brown goes up and and hits a guy that is flagrant.

you know what. The most flagrant our our you know out of control aunt and they're trying to keep control the game that your he doesn't need to be kept control. In that sense there's very little very few times in the playoffs -- in near fight. You know break outs and they start in doubt. You know the majors tensions that come about. And so the PJ Brown's outlook that I thought here that clearly was flagrant foul -- I don't like the whole flagrant foul wanting to put any. If you do look Mikhail did have -- you brought out you're suspended why. Or it's just as well but to try to differentiate that was somewhat like them but you know we're all going to give them shots and the ball the you know now the next what is to shut the ball and -- objected I have a problem without official. Is supposed to determined that it sort of nebulous terms and how they decide.

Coach I was wondering if United I know there have been times when you have been. -- be very upset about the tactical call and we know that if everybody in the NBA goes back to their their locker room at halftime and you look at those calls. When you found out that those calls were the right calls it you thought they with a wrong calls have you gone back and apologize or -- the -- to the officials.

Absolutely there's no question I I think the only thing you have as a player and as a coach -- credibility. And you -- constantly complain on the obvious one that was what I would -- Kendrick Perkins as the same reaction every time without thought you'd probably end up. -- arms are outstretched like it to believe it. -- Everett's also on the official alternate -- now that was blatant. All right so if you ever -- may think I'm not as much. But if you go back your ticket market he said hey -- ballot looked at us about the guys -- about that what you do better as a coach. What you want it was coach. Is when you see a poor calls. -- Start to try to is that the -- called you you keep bottom but -- special that says hey I might take that call I could've blown out. --

the great White culture because I you know what my ex wife used to do that -- The views about and you know well honey you know what I think you're right but it is thought they did yeah. And on and on the job of officials done that you have their comeuppance don't know.

Will we are pretty what most of officials. If they if they blow it they'll be the first ones the couple I'll tell you what they are they're the guys that are just great. And the guys that are trying to work their way that the player out -- guys who are. -- try to make in the later rounds of the playoffs like little arts. Well you know what it's just -- great player is. Not necessarily going to that's not his mistake like making a role player it would be same way it would be great officials. Just like the player but I I never had a problem to guys said hey I could pull out what all right did pull that one. You can expect to make up call that would compounded further but I don't acknowledged mistakes that you bought.
