Nobody scored one point in the fourth quarter and -- point fingers get to carry you so much in that. What Paul's been allowed to do is you know I've always known -- capable played defensively playing this year. I think while he played better defense -- is -- going to share of the all the people that he trusts decide to dislike I think most good players do. And the key is disputing players around memorable -- the court that they'd been truck. And although it oppression the ball -- he's going to complicate it back there but they are in now and and so you know the trust factor -- in the court it is a big factor in what the ball great players and I think Paul assists. You know keep -- committed this year that it was a great deal of respect for those guys we brought in and he was suddenly got off the bench and he really respects spam. Eddie House. This is what we're going to have to do and and they had to give me the green light to do it and how important is it to have an ownership that believes in your ability.

All you know basketball I think there's a lot of talk about chemistry on the court and we all build a great talent can overcome a lot of goals and an organization and and so -- believe the talent we have. At the same time that you you have to develop the chemistry somewhere along the lines and we we have good chemistry on the court ship that. Before we can even get things we had to have chemistry with coaches management and ownership. And you know I'm very proud that we've been able to do yet to be able to keep everything that it means that everything has been Grozny and everything is perfect all the time but it you know the fact that there has been an element of trust -- an element of at the same time yet to contrast. And when I came in you know I think the trust that they have for me now much better in the -- they had to meet with the data company and that's which should be in the same thing with Doc Rivers and I think in the players see it in this business here -- entrust their -- day. Every move you made is under a microscope and is scrutinized and you you're only did what you can do. Right now for a fourth organization in in all of role in the organization in that right back.

And you know that the coach Corey just -- you do when -- a player like Paul Pierce knew last year knew he had the play. Almost perfect basketball the -- and you know everybody is criticizing the coach and star player typically when things aren't going well older and under too much -- a microscope when you -- throws down the stretch. You know everything you do lose the game even -- that by two points -- one point at the buzzer that the coach could -- this year -- And when you win a lot and the thing you do wrong -- up. And so I think that you know but I always believe that -- the leader and doc gets the attention of the players' conduct doesn't really care if you walk. He knows players generally want to be coached. And it doesn't -- he treats every player at the same. But he will coach Kevin Garnett he will coach Paul Pierce people coach Ray Allen and it would be a lot tougher on these young guys like most coaches but at the same time. I've always believed that he was the leader and and that that that covers. 80% of any coaching in my opinion.

There's going to be a tad scary if you're went -- player coach or -- Kevin Garnett comes out after a twenty plus point waited says. We can play so much better than that.

Yeah I did not think we played very well either I mean I'm glad that it means more than the players they had -- when everybody else says about the same way about that we -- lot of -- in our game there's like holes I didn't think we we had cleaned up enough defensively you know on and I felt that. Offensively -- usually what that is could be at the same time there's a lot of really good things happening including results myself I -- we can play better than we did we're going to have to play better as we continue on in this series and and his future series.

I agree with that I mean it's you know not to take anything away from KG because KGB it'll bring that attitude when your star player. I'd been to what Doc Rivers is saying and what Doc Rivers wants to do defensively and -- let's spend that prompted coach and listen to me that means unbelievable what he's done to a culture but you know our numbers have been good with KG when in the nineteen KG yes our our numbers are good that you on the bench -- beat the -- is KZ has been. His attitude and intangibles he brings to the table that presents I mean obviously this for the intimidating around the basket and he he got a great job so -- pick and roll the team laden outdated. They KG is one of those guys that Bristol not to give out. And make it good strong hedge their show on the screen roll and then recovered to the basket you presence in the that happens when you have guys that don't really. And talented and smart you know committed to playing defense and I give credit to KG and how would you -- credit the ball. Or you know before this season even started getting these guys to buy into the deep that it but the in the first in the first conversation he had with that in the press conference before not even that's. What point did defensive schemes that it's -- more sophisticated there's a lot more time instead being. Players and and skill and strength you know I think that the team's the great Celtics teams have always been able to play decent. It -- crucial times of the games. And I think the Chicago Bulls in the night in the pistons. -- meet with a great teams have out played great he -- in stretches but. You know fifteen really come out of the gate and focuses on defense more than we did and I think it's just more open in the -- more hit and -- and guys don't happen. The play as many minutes and went as planned the -- minutes and and they can share the responsibility offensively I think it's it's much easier to focus on the beat the then.

Any aside from the Big Three which guy has really surprised you the most this year in terms of -- development.

You know there's a lot of guys who wanted to go into the season I I never I've said -- before never -- worried that the victory whether they could get along and whether they which chair and whether they were committed to winning is the question has most of what the other players around them. Good now that it fit our style play in over Shaun obviously has lived up to what we hoped for him and James Posey has been everything we've thought that he was the -- stepped up -- had a fantastic year last year. And -- idea unbelievable summer league and you know training camp and so he's just kind of kept going big stadiums -- contributed more than -- as -- As a rookie year. And you know -- outcome and it contributed Eddie House -- contributed there's really there's not one player on this team that has been disappointing in -- had a disappointing year need to -- brilliantly in the ninth game of the cage missed before the all star break. Scalabrine started those nine games and -- he suggested that -- be in what the same team offensively that it needs to be sensibly do work. So you know there's there's guys Tony Allen you know hasn't been as well he's capable played but he should -- in in game one and I could very well in game one -- that was that was big lift for us.
