Of course man now we have you back on because we expected to give us all the dirt. All the inside stuff so give me some stuff c'mon get.

I mean it's been a bit of a whirlwind right now I mean we got them playing yesterday and -- at Fenway to throw out the first pitch in. I mean in words can't explain how everybody field -- locker which really is great feeling.

I I that I saw a little bit heavy on TV last night I didn't show the pitch to deliver a strike.

Yeah actually I was really nervous guys are given it to be pretty good providing their -- me a little bit dated because you're about reported that -- catcher but I made across the plate excited -- little bit and not I think heavily cash picked up right before it felt so I was pretty excited about that.

Mike I'm sure you guys have -- the frozen -- many times -- that flight back from Denver was pretty raucous wondered let let's start with the first game of the frozen four. When you just jumped all over North Dakota personal which is -- come Milledge any ideas that you get off to a start like that.

Absolutely not -- we've we've focused on what we contract can control and inevitably -- it. 61 Aram for golden period right of the -- especially in North Dakota but. We -- in that game focused on getting after the -- step back a little bit not last game last year just got -- just kind of wade missed trying to win that game and you know we we came out hard and now we delivered a pretty good -- first period.

Have we talked before the frozen four that Notre Dame was maybe the surprise team in the tournament. He and and you know give credit where credit is that they may have been a surprise go on and they should've been a surprise that they were facing you guys in the championship game.

And -- hard nosed team their mean detailed they went up and on the ice they're banging hard and you know it real fortunately came out on top of the -- when -- away.

What do people say to you about Notre Dame before that game I was saying on the year Boston College Kim now. Under any circumstance should lose to Notre Dame to all schools a what was your friends and you.

You know we there they're saying you know it's -- funny probably would applaud everything so they're obviously excited for a -- I think we were -- outside outside -- is not much I mean. Last year we -- mission statement that we were here in the we that it favorite and we're just -- focus on getting after and I came I guess institute objectives and that's exactly what we did.

You give us a pretty good scouting report on Nathan derby going from some more. He didn't let you down or anybody else that.

Actually not -- Ortiz the dynamic player when the lights get brighter he gets better on the -- every accolade he's he's had in. He's going to be a great player at the next level and I think it just goes usually when big games on line he comes in and plays while.

Do you think and his size he can be a star at the next level 'cause I think he certainly got the skill.

Actually I think he either player who has never denied in the you can even deny he's been denied certain level district decided. He's he's breaking barriers that he can definitely do that that next level.

Boston College has come close over the years since 2001 has come close to winning a few more championships finally got one this year. Just from what you could tell Mike. It was it was the preparation any different this year compared to last year or the year before you do anything different.

I think this team had a dynamic about it in the sense that emotion never really ran too high and down. We we just like each game plan like it was another game I think last Jimmy we got ahead of ourselves a little bit. But this year we're focused on the first -- minutes in the second period there appeared ready each each time and I think that's exactly what kind of put us over the hump there in the focus -- locker room and we want to win a national title more than anything -- the -- locker -- that plane ride the last two years didn't want to -- that feeling again. We just came on put our game and I guess that fortunately we came out on top.

That was a bit of tickets behind the curtain there when the championship you do the interview with ESP thats like doing interviewing just tell -- Tossed the report on the ice with his get out of here yeah slowly reporter how dare you ought to be -- from the celebration. Let after after he'd like -- interviews by what happened to me about that night.

I mean Nadal -- got to give credit to our family that mean they were and the pep band and everyone minister and they were incredible I mean going to regain their outside the cheer us on I think we only had to go a couple of understand that there but. I mean there are so loud and supportive and I only got swept up yeah I mean they -- their front they're back at the hotel and I mean all the credit is due to our fans and her family -- everyone let me teach about going to go back -- It's just like I said it's been awhile when it's kind of hard to explain right now and I hope it keeps going -- it's in the keeps.

I I don't know -- they don't a couple of guys and there's a look at the other guys do a couple of Miyazawa is trying to get guys. I was kind of been out trying to figure out to a couple other words -- only do I think I camera might make it out.

They told the story during the telecast on Saturday night -- I think it was your loss to Maine I remember right. And and Jerry York -- the locker room after the game in recent luck. I wish I could bring you guys to Denver with me I'm gone for the coaches meetings anyway but it doesn't look like -- bring in my team with me what that talked and you guys.

Well it's definitely an eye opener in -- I -- locker respect coach short and everything he says in. When he got to said that kind of hit and had a -- a little bit and -- but it was going through little but a rotten later on in the year we did go through another home but it was a different kind of feeling you know. There wasn't that it would seem like we weren't doing the right things at that time that if successful hockey team and even knowing -- to that brought a little bit later in the season we're playing very good hockey we just weren't in the bounces and we coach -- said that you know. All the guys in the locker want to go to Denver more than anything and we knew we can put ourselves an -- when national title but we need to focus a little more do those little things.

After the the controversy at the little league World Series a few years ago we used to joke you know somebody's got to look at Danny Almonte is worth it to. Somebody's got elected John uses birth certificate and you're not supposed to be able play like -- when you're that age.

You know he really -- a team on his shoulders in the tournament and throughout the whole year give a player like oppression like I've always said he's he's had the confidence about them all year and it just. He just short it is time and on national television just showed how good he really is and I hope he hasn't even better year the next year and -- that you're that immediately great kid. Even better player I mean he's unbelievable but I --

Who cried -- Jerry crybaby break down when he was talking guys afterward.

I noticed mother came opposition again doubted I mean -- every single day -- you the most energetic guy and locker but I mean this mother on its base as well the rest of the guys in the locker.

how about any emotional Knute Rockne ask pregame speeches and yeah. Did he or or anyone on the staff have to say anything.

Arsenal you know I think I'd coach cavs coach Jack gonna get a team -- from time to time in but it really just. He focuses on just stick in our game plan that's exactly what have we want to stick to our objectives don't don't get carried away with trying to put. -- inpatient drug -- the -- hard not to call you when they're there you know we want to be patient. You want to go to a game but our objectives and that's evacuated -- coach Jack -- get -- coach brown -- is going to. But them -- a -- today I screamed and yelled sometime before game trying to get the guys go -- but I mean that kind of work sometimes we got into a lot of fire.

Are they can make didn't go to the next level and going to take my game to the next level I hope I hope I get an opportunity and done. I'm really looking forward to China China take that on and -- on really enjoy this right now so I'm trying not to think about it but like I said I'd love to go that next level.

Mike do you have a say on who's going to be the next captain obesity.

a players meeting we are players in the player's ball on the coach coached puts an -- incredible and they get bored stupid. But -- team team takes -- the next captains aren't you know I think I think a lot of the -- have done a great job in. I mean it -- leaders forests and I think there's a lot of guys in the locker that can be capped and so. --

And and they even let the outgoing guys have a vote to.

Absolutely up we have bomb exit meetings the coaches in. And dom we just kind of like often that they've kind of said he got -- the last -- to go off on the right foot and down yeah we actually we get we get that same attitude so we're excited.

You know you were telling us last week you know how somebody. Some of the former eagles have been calling and checked in and then you know -- DL -- up your spirits and -- you guys ready. You gotta make those calls from now.

Absolutely and -- to try to make it because every single year and you know I just programmers really but the Mark on my license. Not just on the ice but in in the classroom and are on the BC community and I appreciate that -- very fortunate to be able to be an institution like Boston College.

All four confident are and butter can argue that it is about Asia are well done okay.

Don't get too wrapped up in. Winning winning winning you know and I think we had fun and we were focused when we need to be focused and that's what we came out on top.

I think it was Jerry and then I'm going to give him credit for this line I read it somewhere and if it was him I'll I'll give him all the credit. Weary said you know seasons and for a lot of teams. But if you win a national championship your season never happens.

Actually cannot coach cat mentioned it also and you know it's just it's one of those things where yet so you get caught up in the whole world 170 that's only -- that typically go to the white -- Fenway each -- bruins' game in. Power that. It's we're going to be known as always team now -- that national title mound real as a further 4090 and no one team. And you know what I'm so proud because that only team and we left our Mark here in terms that winning a national title and you know these guys are going to walk with me for the rest my life.

Mike congratulations I was watching with pride on Saturday night when you're up. Got a chance to accept that trophy along with your teammates and I'm sure a lot of folks at the heights are going to be very excited at the rink tonight to welcome you guys home officially.
