Yeah that usually these these owners meetings in the National Football League don't. Yeah the whole Lotta stuff but I thought the apology yesterday by Kraft and Belichick may be caught a lot of people by surprise.

What they hope to do it literally. They went in and put it Gillette for ever I think back reaction I mean when Bob Kraft and speaking experience of the group that we are very warm him. -- Yeah very very rarely other then you know when. And kind of you -- and threw them then it was almost like welcoming those guys back into the cold it someplace I think that. They've felt yesterday it was pretty good time of closure for -- yeah.

How are wondering that you're one of the people who your way out in front on this and you were asking for explanations from Bill Belichick and and Robert Kraft. After hearing them at the -- owners meetings are you satisfied with the explanations that they've given.

Well I mean critical spot in my opinion accurately explain anything. And I think you know Bill Belichick is the one who who had explain everything he'd been pretty consistent and he gets interpreted. Do you know who and you know eat out that it was okay. If you're not using Pete you know anything with a with a video tapes. During the beginning or -- it was okay if you if you use if you videotaped interviews -- future -- I've never accepted he repeated yesterday I don't accept it is just. I don't see how old 31 other things can know the rules and movement smartest team in the league doesn't know the rules so. I accept the fact that that is explanation but I don't buy that fact -- you know the real well.

Thoughts -- ethnically you felt okay. You don't think he knew the rule or do you think that there was that he was using those tapes for in game stuff.

Now not that I never thought they were used in the -- games stop what I'm saying Michael is that I've never accepted the fact. I've never accepted his claim that he says he didn't know that rule I guess I just don't quiet. Bill Belichick is one of the smartest guys I've ever seen in the NFL is organization. -- ahead of everybody in the NFL and do. You know to imply that says that -- you know it's I think it'd twice then -- clarified by the NFL. You know in the in the -- in the older or however many months before. You know before they were caught against the jets last year to imply that they didn't know that that rule on the books in any videotaping. You know was rule is not you know with it it any videotaping was against the rules I just right you know -- I don't I don't buy it.

One of the the outgrowth of this whole thing is is the rule was passed yesterday that will now allow helmet communication with the defensive signal caller in addition to what you have now. For the offense in the quarterback. I think there -- some serious logistical issues the kind of overcome here how do you think the school work.

Well I think it's going to help I don't think -- dependency and here's why. He won at the teams that voted against this rule. Told mean want to coaches of the team voted against told me yesterday here's the problem that. Communications system -- shot off. With fifteen seconds left on the play clock when that communication system -- then what happens. The offense at that time. And so Indians. Is going to be shuttling offensive players into the game at the last second. In order to make the call that we made on -- friends totally meaningless. Now in a lot of ways you'll want my point -- this coach was well. You know I do understand that but they've been able to do that forever and they've been able to run right currently. And so I think I think inept -- what we yet when we have this situation. You're not going to have a perfect way to get this done like you'd think it helped I think most teams will do. Is today you will. They will call to play they'll call -- defensive formations and huddle depending on what the offense does with a late substitution. And it they -- what will happen. Is they won't -- today. You know you're gonna have to make the call right wind depending on who you have come forward you know what what -- communal like --

Peter I saw you spoke with Thomas to metro former college scouting director for the patriots now in Atlanta. I did you seem to be very impressed with them and out. For good reason I wonder who do you think the falcons would pick what their first round pick and how do you see the first five to seven picks going in the first round.

You know probably every I mean everybody -- the last 45 days I said. Tell me what you think you know what the top of the draft. And almost every person would say something to the effect of well. How can you know anything because we don't know and I don't think we're going to know have a great Coke. On what Bill Parcells going to do -- number one that's the biggest problem we have right now in trying to figure out exactly what's going to happen. Because I think at the end of the day. Michael I think you're going to see Bill Parcells hasn't had that feeling in my heart. -- last week. Don't negotiate with three or four players the -- for three -- four players -- basically try to make the best deal he can't. We want those guys and at. We guy elated that picking now I believe he's going to know exactly who he wants to pick and -- try to shape a negotiation that way. But if he does that not only -- take some money like basically -- him I offer you let fate for the sake of argument. I think on particular comment Scott he with the third pick in the Cleveland. Laurie -- he's going to try to get -- and financially and it. It -- because there isn't a single later in the draft goes our way. You know screaming out to be the first player picked up Peyton Manning appears no no guy were you they have got aspect so. I think -- going to try to outsmart the draft little bit if he -- Just have our own devices to try to figure out I believe it's going to be Chris long track urging it to Miami. If -- there I think they'll take two and Dorsey if he's not Eric he'll take Matt Ryan or depressed and it global concept and player then. I think -- take probably the best available defensive line in the patriots seek the best available for a certain player whoever that is.

Now I think you have teams that they're the team and really take air that oh it was Oakland. What what -- surprised everybody yesterday when he set him.
