Well Bell's game where you personally are close by the best game I could ever have I mean I was in the zone and our quarterback fortunately was in the zone as well you know and he knows the game that I was I was really looking forward to we are very good team. This was our biggest challenge -- no way and and our defense with up to the task and we just really wanted to. Go out and try to dominate the football game but we we seize the moment we knew the magnitude of the game it was kind of that that moment we have been waiting for you know haven't been beat that following the previous year by the Chicago Bears great team. You know experiments showed us where we needed to be in order to your champion and we you know set our goals from there did them in a big game -- that we will be in the super -- the next year -- and that was our goal and we got there.

They are very good being able to adapt and make adjustments that's what they do he'll lose very engaged in you know you knew -- early on when his defensive coordinator with the giants because he was very. Compare those guys what was the defensive coordinator like in what was ahead -- young bill belichick's life.

Basically the same guy -- very personality. You know understood you know the value of preparation and -- these are very detail oriented guy. If having to -- infrastructure in place that supported that type of mentality was important to have and that's why. You know even as a coach he was building behind the scenes guys like Scott pioli and Eric Mangini and you know a few other guys. But now he has the system in place as people that understands what he wants. You know and they give it to him in in the good part about it is that ownership in New England. They buy into the philosophy of we need to be vertical and our thought process we don't need to be. Coaching you know in picking coaches for coaches and you know picking personnel that doesn't fit with -- coach wants to do bear -- vertical or your thought process and it's it's been a great being American a lot of organizations can learn a lot -- the patriots because it's an integrated process but. They are all verdict we -- here in their thought process in terms of the owners are going to give him something he doesn't moron he's not going to do something that doesn't fit with what the image to the patriots are all about.

Did you feel at times when when you first started working under Bill Belichick. He almost asked more review mentally than physically.

No but he was challenging. Because we spent a lot of time in meeting rooms and dom probably the wrong person -- because great affinity for him. But it -- do it could be tenuous at times tedious at times but -- you know every Friday in the meeting room you wouldn't you know it was pretty much. And our test it was really challenged you know it was an exam week you have to Kerry -- picked the play right at drop a play. -- Talk about your response tire -- with a deep into -- you know from start to finish you can say would you do Lima so here's a deep sense of firm Imus off. In -- as would every guy depth. I mean it was I mean he will -- you know 567 guys who gives a different responsibility. And it wasn't too embarrassed by you know because you still have to Saturday you're right. Bart is just show. The level of accountability he put on every player so that if something broke down when we got through the silent we knew exactly what it wants. I got to know Tom Coughlin when he was at Boston college and I was doing the games there when he was there. And I think I sensed that there are a lot alike in terms of detail orientation again at every detail every every single bit of preparation in theirs in they're in line. I'm not sure they're the same personality wise but they're a lot the same in terms of how they road --

Again philosophically they are. Very very close. And I don't know I've ever had gone to the plate for Tom he was on our staff right I've been around him long enough to know him I've been a huge supporter of his because I've seen. With the microwave mentality of the media can be you know wanting instant results and I really looking at what's being built what's being developed. And you know Thom believes in. Developing players just like the patriots believe in developing the back in the their roster. You see the emergence of guys like. Brandon Jacobs you see a guy like Ahmad Bradshaw and they're probably six or seven guys on their roster. Who are major contributors. Two of the success of this team and nobody figured could ever help them you know you lose the greatest running back in the history of the organization. Do you think it's going to be a vacuum and lo and behold two guys step up three guys step up without derrick ward in a fourth guy. With Reuben Droughns so they got the results dating -- from one guy but they got the same you know desired result quarterback who everybody you know threw away you know by a week six he was no good. But you know these are half glass half full guns they focus on building from the success has instead of you know tearing down from the failures and nobles of the things we see you know philosophically there. They subscribe to the same theory of success in because there are rooted in -- great foundations also also I think Tom has done a great job is going to continue to do a good job and I'm happy that the organization had enough faith and see that there are more there was more good. Coming from this organization and bad because when you look at the emergence of young players -- roster. You know coaching staffs are doing something right -- is not focusing on the top line -- Young guys few injuries happen. You know it's one thing about the patriots he gives that would be in the have a significant injury well who's to say. You know they lose their quarterback -- maybe you losing an offensive lineman is just as significant to the operation. As it would be if another team lost -- running back you know so every team goes through. Injuries in in adversity in the teams they're committed just. In keep moving are the ones that have the most success I think that's something the giants have been able to do too because young defensive backfield. In the complex deacons under prospect Nolan and they've had more rookies back there. Indicated that they did that adjusted deep into just got the players ready to go because it's you know.
