You're always trying to match up innings and think okay how could we finish this game. I thought his last outing was by far. The most encouraging we've seen -- state in his delivery. I don't think you have to force the issue to get the ball where he wanted to go. I think -- I thought he looked competent. That's agreed to sign a spot in the 96 isn't there anymore but. The hitters -- what you know what's not velocity if audio player but he had movement on his cutter bush changeup was good. Again the Devil Rays are the double -- that people I think. Yeah actually wasn't very happy about that. You know it looked like you lost his supporters looked like maybe got embarrassed at -- last thing we can do you can see in somebody's -- to be had but actually when it happened when not Coke cold. That was unsettling and it was not very much appreciated I thought they'd probably -- the pretty well I saw his comments and a global sport agreed in. The issue I've got with the way Major League Baseball does things -- while umpires have the right to throw -- out without warning. They almost never do I don't think he got thrown out for the -- at at pay at Pedroia at -- got thrown out for trying to fight his way away from the umpire but he should've been thrown out for the pitch.

I agree with everything -- manager completely correct in your assessment. If he gets pulled up right away it probably goes away -- because they handle one it's not handled. Again then you know you eagles opponent okay we have handled this. And you get him out their flex -- muscles organizer don't if it doesn't lead to anything good. Again I don't happens quick it is difficult was everybody difficult situation. What if he doesn't get thrown out probably at a regular.

I know umpires have good days and bad days that you'd think it was a bad decision to warn both teams after Cabrera threw a Pedroia.

Play how about the warning the warnings have been there in the first place.

Well again if you're if you're saying that they should have been thrown out. Well I don't know I grew up but it -- don't do that they can't just sit there there was some pretty obvious intent to. Your team has the best record in Major League Baseball right now and you're trying to win every single game as you point out. Certainly does change how you view things I mean getting the best overall record means you get to make some choices about how you guys play in the playoffs and that's got to mean a lot.

I think there is an adjustment to Major League Baseball no doubt I guess I think there's a lot of factors. In every game. I think I don't think it's fair to just put all five games to go little topics just not the case if you go back it's to the Toronto game. His first strike ratio when he was tall for all of his problems own. He threw a lot of strikes that got away in Baltimore the it got a way it was the result recently -- champ and everything became hard. An up and that is not. -- pitchers have a chance for success so what we -- getting back to throw all his pitches in all counts. And it all situations and it's easier said than done. But again that's or -- some pretty comfortable we'll finally get there.

Terry you've had. Other guys who have who've had to make adjustments rookie adjustments obviously Okajima we've talked about Daisuke I gotta tell you I'm not sure if I've seen a rookie look more at ease them. Then what you've been getting from Jacoby -- spree since he arrived with the September call up he looks like he belongs here.

Yeah I think you just to Allard Baird made it could comment spring training about -- obesity a survival skills. And I think it was a very good statement is a lot count. But he also knows how to survive and play the game and try to helpless women in a lot of different ways whether personable what field steal -- base -- titans who have backed. He's got to always felt to win.

You know -- not thinking about post season awards right now but we've got a lot of fun and the talk radio business of of saying how some managers don't pay attention the gold glove awards one year Palmeiro got the award at first and he played like 15 or 20 games or something ridiculous like that. How how did you view that gold glove selection and how do you approach it when you.

Well I have a fourth option right in front of me and I have to fill out today. And the reason I'm kind of laughed when he brought looks like just told noticeable to remind -- leg muscles up more. And then the next year seems like people take notice and then you start reaping the benefit I don't know why that is it just it's happened -- times.

It also seems that -- and it shouldn't be this way. It also seems that offensive performance gets tied to.

I've reputation offense -- for a Shiite group all that I don't understand it but it seemed like is Bonilla for a long time.

This is totally and I'm not asking your comment on other sports and other teams. But we've had a lot of this stuff for the last few days about steel and signals and and and who know what's going on is a lot of this sort of thing in baseball these things going on night tonight.

I think you deserve to lose courage that's part of the game and it always has been and always will be.

Yeah definite times people -- that's just that's part of the game is that we know that and yeah it's it's not and that's if you're given signed.
